Never, ever agree to anything in person. And if you have trouble saying no, the reason for this is because it's incredibly hard to say no to someone's face. It's much easier when you go back, you look at your calendar, and you write a text because you can really think about your wording. Always default to let me check my calendar, get back to you. Hey, let me check my phone and get back to you. Because then, whether it is a yes, whether it is a no, your default answer is always, I'm gonna have to take a minute. And that sets you up for an easier no later.
