Don't script yourself. Scripting is great. I love preparation, but it can feel very inauthentic when it's overly rehearsed or isn't genuine or said too perfectly. What happens is we want to be prepared. We want to, you know, show up as our best self. What could I be asked on this date? What could I be asked in this meeting? Okay, I'm going to say this. I'm going to say this reason. Yes, prepare for a question, but don't over-prepare. Don't rehearse out your emotions because it will be very hard to develop a connection later if you don't have a foundation of like, just answer truthfully. Like, if you don't feel like you can answer truthfully in the moment, we need to rewind a little bit. Scripting can also breed coldness inauthenticity and make it harder for ourselves later.
