This is stopping people from approaching you. Do you want to know the most unattractive thing you can wear? This. Watch what happens. The moment I put my AirPod in, I immediately look less approachable. I immediately look like I'm in my own world. And this is stopping people from approaching you, talking to you, opening up to you. So back in the day, 20 years ago when I was single, this is like so embarrassing. I used to go to the gym and, you know, I would be kind of like looking around the gym, and if I saw someone who like looked a little bit cute, I would make a little googly eye at them. If they were into it, they would come over and talk to me. If they weren't, they would totally ignore me. This would have fundamentally changed if we had AirPods back then, because first of all, if I had been wearing an AirPod, even if I made the best googly eyes ever, no one would have come up to me. Second, if someone else had their AirPods in, they'd be much less likely to notice my googly eyes, and they're wrapped up in their podcast or their audiobook or their playlist, and it would have made it so hard to connect. When you're walking down the street, when you're at the gym, when you're sitting in class, when you're about to start a meeting, try to take your AirPods out. Try to take your headphones off. They are immediate blockers and they are unattractive because they signal I'm not available.
