Vanessa Van Edwards explains why late bloomers often succeed more than early bloomers. Early bloomers get rewards for confidence and attractiveness, but late bloomers build resilience and self-awareness by having to earn their confidence, creating more sustainable success later.

Hi, I'm Vanessa, and I'm a late bloomer. Late bloomers usually think they're behind. I really, really did. But psychologically, they're often developing something very helpful. A lot of early bloomers get rewarded quickly for being naturally confident, attractive, talented, and social, so they never really have to build those skills intentionally. We actually forget that most people's success peaks much later than they expect. Late bloomers know this. They learn how to recover from rejection. They learn how people work. They learn how to develop a skill, develop resilience, self-awareness, and depth because they had to earn their confidence instead of inheriting it. And ironically, that is why so many late bloomers become magnetic later in life. They stopped trying to catch up and realized they were building something more sustainable the entire time.
