Venus Ann Michael explains what makes a mastermind group work: members need a shared core goal like fitness or spiritual growth, but the best groups also embrace diversity and let people explore unconventional interests together without judgment, as long as everyone agrees on the main mission.
Now, you do have to have some common outcomes and goals. I can't go into one mastermind saying, I wanna improve myself physically, and everyone else is like, oh, I'm all about—
Spiritual.
Spiritual growth, right. Spiritual. And other groups like, oh, I'm all about exploration of drugs or something like that. I'm not placing judgment on any of those things, but they may not be complementary. The best groups I've been in is where everyone has a general common goal. But what's interesting is then you explore the outer fringe too. So diversity, common goal, and then a depthness where you're willing or demanding of each other to explore the outer fringe. Right.
