In this presentation, the speaker revisits a previously introduced 80/20 matrix that aligns a company’s top 20 clients with three tiers of offerings. The matrix categorises offerings as loss‑making (negative profitability), middle‑mix (break‑even or modest profit) and best products (highly profitable). For each tier, the speaker outlines a specific strategic response: intervene with top clients buying loss‑making services and guide them toward sustainable options; educate and upsell clients in the middle mix to move them toward higher‑margin offerings; and concentrate resources and relationship energy on the best‑product customers, which represent the “heart” of the organization. The overall message is to diagnose where the most valuable clients are spending, correct unsustainable buying patterns, and focus the organization’s effort on the most profitable client‑offering combinations.
