At a photography retreat in a glass house in New York, instructor Izzy taught mobile photography basics: the rule of thirds instead of centering subjects, and intentional background blur. Speaker A says it fundamentally changed how they photograph on their phone.
I find also these retreats are very expansive in learning. One of my favorite retreats was in New York in that kind of glass house thing. I think it was Izzy who gave us a training in photography on our phones. Oh yeah, that was so cool. So cool. And then she's like, let's go out and take pictures. And I've taken pictures ever since radically differently, much better as a result of that.
We learned something.
Yeah. I used to be like object in center. She's like, no. Rule of two-thirds. Right. Rule of two-thirds. And blurring the background. These different techniques you could.
Yeah. It's always a learning experience too, which I've always appreciated. Appreciated as well.
