Breaking Down Our Most Profitable Ad (7-Part Template) | Vince Reed | E4

Vince Reed breaks down a high-performing "slap" ad that generated 17,871 clicks and 10,365 leads with a 58% conversion rate. He walks through a seven-part template: attention grabber, identify problem, prove problem, introduce solution, CTAs, agitate, final CTA. Negative comments on ads often signal strong engagement.

So, yeah, let's do it.
I got a new comment on the ad, which your conversions are definitely down. Look at you begging for dollars. Let's not even talk about the fake comments. Not knowing that this is like one of the all time, greatest converting ads of all time.
Oh, is it the slap ad?
Yeah, the new slap ad. So I feel like on this talk, we should break down the ad, go over the template and why it's working.
Oh, okay, cool.
And. And then we can kind of roast this guy commenting us too, a little bit.
Always gonna have haters.
Yeah, yeah. It's a good sign, though. Change it up a little bit.
All right, we ready? Yep. Let's do it. What's going on? Vintread here, founder of eboov.com and welcome to episode four of More Leads and faster sales. And today we have a good one because we're talking about ads. So this actual show was sparked when I got a negative comment from someone on my ads, which happens a lot. And, you know, when I first started running ads way back in 2008, anytime someone would say something negative or, you know, reply to my ad in a negative way, I almost was ready to stop running the ad and quit altogether. I didn't know how to handle it, you know, because I'm like a senior citizen in digital marketing. This is like in the beginning, and this was actually before social media ads, so people weren't used to really putting themselves out there and they didn't know how to handle hate. And still today, when people are starting to run ads, they don't know how to handle negative replies to their ads. And even worse, most people's ads just aren't converting. So on this episode, we dive into essentially my seven part template to essentially making ads. So you'll get the template, I break it down and show you exactly how we structure ads. But I also dive deep into how we create what we call disruptive ads and how if you actually are getting negative comments, depending on, like, what type of negativity you're getting, it could actually be helping your ad. So, for example, we want to be disruptive. We want to make people either love what we're saying or hate what we're saying, because that will help the ad. But we want to do it in such a way where when people do click, we're on message, which is going to essentially help conversions on the other side. So there are some people that try to create disruptive ads, but they're confusing and the negative feedback is warranted. It's like an ad that's misleading or doing something that essentially is not good for the algorithm for their conversions or anything when it comes to running their ads. So there's a way in which you want to create disruptive ads and our seven part template actually breaks all of that down. So I'm really excited about this because we go into the ad and we break down exactly an ad that we're actually running that's one of our most highest converting ads of all time. We're going to break that down into as well. Last but not least, we mentioned in the podcast basically an ad that was more disruptive than the ad we're gonna actually review. And when I watched it, I was like, man, I know. People are gonna be like, well, what's that ad all about? We'll definitely do another show where we break down our most disruptive ad. And to be quite honest, now that I think about it, that ad that we refer to that we don't show, you actually generated the lowest cost leads I think we've ever got, ever in life running ads, and was very, very profitable as well. So we'll definitely do a show on that. So don't worry, we got you covered there. With that being said, make sure you hit that like button and subscribe to the channel so we can keep the content and the value going. Our job is to go extremely deep into topics, much deeper than the surface level videos that you typically see online. So I know you're going to love this one. So sit back and enjoy episode four of More leads and Faster sales. See you there.
So I figured we change it up a little bit.
Okay, what you got?
Because we got the hater, obviously. And I was excited to finally get like a hater comment because our original slap ad had so much hate in the comments, but it had so much positivity. And that's how you can typically see if your ad is good or bad when you have both. A lot of people can't take it. They're like, oh my God, someone said something negative on your ad. And we actually like it. I mean, the guy's like, your conversions are definitely down. When that's one of our highest converting ads of all time, which is great. They go, look at you begging for dollars. It's great, right? It's great. Let's not even talk about all the fake comments, right? Like I want to. I would ask him, is his comment fake?
That's a good question.
Yeah. Anyways, so I figured in this talk, let's, let's dive into like the Ad template. Let's show the ad so you viewers out there can see the ad this guy is talking about. And then I'll dive into the template we used, and then maybe we can go back through the ad and break it down, and I can show you how we're executing our template within this ad. And then hopefully you out there can make some cool ads that get 79% conversions, like a lot of ours do.
Let's do it.
Cool. All right, so let's go ahead and let's. Let's look at the ad first. So go ahead and play that full ad. Let's watch.
Let me get this.
So everybody can kind of see what we're doing. And then I will go over the template that we use. And by the way, as he's pulling that up, our template is kind of like a core structure. I think some people, when they hear about templates, whether it's a webinar VSL template or an ad template, they get fixated and say the ad has to follow this template to a T. It really doesn't. We really just have this kind of framework. And sometimes our ads vary off a bit, but they typically have like a core structure or something about them, which I'll point out on today's show.
Yeah, let's watch it.
Let's look at the ads, see what our one hater comment is talking about.
All right, let's do it.
Ad costs are going up, lead costs are going up, and conversions are going down because this Brick Wall page keeps blocking 80% of your traffic. Get out there.
Running ads to a webinar or VSL using this Brick Wall funnel. This video is for you. You're probably wondering, why is this guy holding $200 up in cash, acting like he's balling? Well, this $200 is exactly what it costs to send 100 people to this Brick Wall funnel. I want to show you why you are wasting and losing money every single time you're driving traffic to this funnel. You see, on average, only 20% of people are going to opt into this Brick Wall page. That means for every 100 people you send to this brick wall page, 80 of them are running right into this brick wall and never see what you have to sell. Of the 20 individuals who essentially get to the next step, only 35% of them are actually going to watch your webinar or VSL. Here's where it gets really bad. Of the 35% of individuals who watch that webinar VSL, only 2 to 3% of those individuals are going to actually see your offer. You know how many people that is? Goose egg. $200 gone. That's why I started using the Casper method. The Casper method allows me to get 200% more leads, but best of all, off the same 100 clicks, and that's $200. I go from one person seeing what I have to sell to 51 people. In fact, I sent 17,871 clicks, generated 10,365 leads. That's a 58% conversion rate. And I'm not the only one using this. People like Billie Jean Douglas, James, Matt Wilson, Laurel Poitier, Dan Henry. The list goes on and on and on and on. Hit the lights, please. Connor, can you bring in the chair? I created a training that's going to show you how to get your 80% of lost traffic. Thanks, my man. Why? Because ad costs are going up, lead costs are going up, and conversions are going down because this brick wall page keeps blocking 80% of your traffic. Get out of my kid. I'm about to expose this brick wall page and this brick wall funnel process for the that it really is. You see, not only is this brick wall funnel blocking 80% of your traffic, there's four huge problems that's costing you time and money. And I'm going to share with you on this training. So when you click on the learn more button, I'm going to show you how you can use the caster method to get 200% more leads and 51 times faster sales. So go ahead and click on that learn more button. Things are about to get real. I'm going to expose this funnel. Got me breaking my money here for what it really is. Click on that learn more button. I'll show you exactly how the caster method works.
There's so many elements I forgot. Yeah.
So when we were creating that, I still like Slap original one better.
I mean, the OG is always OG Slap.
We may come back and show you guys that one, but let's do this. Let's go through the template so those of you out there that are running ads can kind of see the template. I'll write it down. Yeah, so you guys can see it. So the most important thing is to grab the attention that's going to be. Doesn't matter who. I can get this dang pen out of here. Good lord. Almost got it. There you go. You put crazy glue up in this thing.
Number one, attention grabber.
I'll bring the. Bring the mic closer a little bit.
All right, so you got the Attention grabber.
All right? So you got to grab the attention, all right? You always have to remember that people are scrolling when they see an ad. And 99% of the ads are seen on mobile. Most people, when they are looking at their ads, they're looking at it from a desktop perspective. You have to look at your ads from a mobile perspective and realize that people are scrolling or scrolling.
All right?
So in that ad, if you want to pull it back up and go to the beginning and this is be like step one, the attention grabber and something else, which I'll just go ahead and put point two. So point two that I have here is identify the problem. This ad I felt did a great job because we incorporate the attention grabber with the problem immediately. Remember, people are scrolling, so they have to see and want to stop scrolling and understand what the ad is about right in the beginning. And a lot of people go wrong because they're so slow in their ads to get everything going. So people just scroll by it. So let's just watch the beginning and you'll see that ad costs are going up, lead costs are going up, and conversions are going down because this brick wall page keeps blocking 80% of your traffic. Stop it. Stop it. All right, so the attention grab, we identified the problem and we slapped the page right in the beginning. And then as you can see, the ad goes black and white right there because it's a piece of that we add in the ad, which we come back to. And then there's a rewind part of this that happens next. And we kind of continue the attention grabbing piece right after this clip. So go ahead and hit play.
So boom, you can see that that's all attention running ads to a webinar or BS designed to stop the scroll. Now something else that we did, and I don't even know if the team was aware of, like when we were scripting it, maybe you guys were. Tell me if you were. But the props.
100%. The props.
The props are really good at stopping the scroll. But more importantly, they're very, very strong on mobile feed. Right? So we wanted to make sure that the person that was watching this ad knew that we were targeting people that were leveraging webinar VSL funnels and that were running ads. Right. Without having to say it. The second you see the props, right. The funnel behind me, you kind of know what's going on. Okay, this is some kind of funnel. The beginning of the ad, he's talking about leads, costs, ad costs, conversions going down. We what we did was I felt like very quick. How. How. Where are we at in the video? How long has the video.
So this is like 14 seconds in.
So we're 14 seconds in, right? And we've already identified. Caught their attention, identified the problem. And obviously the money was. I wanted the money because I know that there's a negative, like effect with money. Like, people get uncomfortable when they see money. Right.
And the way I counteracted the money, right, to make it. Make it clear that this wasn't about how much money we make. It was more representing how much it cost to get traffic to the funnel.
Right.
But when you initially see it, you're like, okay, here's this guy waving money. So this is part of why. How we try to almost encourage the hate and put that person that's ready to go ahead and start commenting and create the hate in a. In a pickle. He's like, oh, he's, like, ready to type at this point. He's ready to comment on the money. You. But we put them in a weird situation because instantly, if you hit play, we explain what.
Also, too, we were kind of thinking about. We're going back and forth whether to use, like, digital images of each of those pages or actually print out physical pages of each step. And we decided to print them out because they're so huge and, like, in your face kind of made more sense for that presentation.
All right, so we'll hit pay this Brick Wall Funnel. This video is for you. Probably wondering, why is this guy holding $200 up in cash, acting like he's balling? Well, this $200 is exactly what it costs to send 100 people to this Brick wall funnel. Go ahead and pause it. All right, so even though $200 isn't, like, a crazy amount of money, it feels it's a lot more money when you realize that's how much it costs to get 100 people through the funnel. Now, just watching it, I'm always like, how could I make an ad better? I'm assuming that they realize that I'm saying that the average cost per click is $2, even though I didn't say it. So what I'm trying to do when creating ads is do the most saying the least, right? So we're saying here that it costs you $2 to get a person to your funnel, and you're spending $200 whether you like it or not. All right, so we've captured the attention. We've put people in a weird, uncomfortable situation. We've got the money. You know, you know, we've done all this crazy stuff, and now how long are we into the ad?
29. So 30 seconds.
Okay, cool. So the next phase is for us to prove the problems to be true.
The P stands for problems to be true. All right, so what we do here now is we've got to prove that this is a problem, that ad costs going up, lead costs going up, and conversion going down. So you'll see the next part as we break down and we go through the numbers. So we're just proving this problem to be true. And these problems are undeniable because they're not my numbers. These are industry standards. So let's go and check it. Check it out. I want to show you why you are wasting and losing money every single time you're driving traffic to this funnel. You see, on average, only 20% of people are going to opt in to this Brick Wall page. Goose egg. $200 gone. Go ahead and stop it. All right, so we've captured the attention, we've stopped the scroll, we've identified the problem. We proved the problem to be true. The. And now the next step in your ad. The most important thing in your ad is to introduce the solution. If you do this well, this is where you're starting to set up the click. Right. Because what does the platform want you to do? They want people to have a positive reaction to your ad.
Right?
Right. As much as the platform. They always say that the platform wants you to keep the person on the platform, which they do. More importantly, they want things on the platform that people are actually engaging with in a positive way. So. Right. So we've set it up. So now what we want to do is we want to introduce the solution. So go ahead and hit play. That's why I started using the Casper method. The Casper method allows me to get 200% more leads. But best of all, off the same 100 clicks, that's $200. I go from one person seeing what I have to sell to 51 people in fact, I sent 17,871 clicks, generated 10,365 leads. That's a 58% conversion rate. And I'm not the only one using this. People like Billie Jean Douglas, James, Matt Wilson, Laurel Poitier, Dan Henry. The list goes on and on and on and on. I go ahead and hit pause. All right, so we did. There's a little bonus here that I don't even have on this template. There's a little bit of authority and credibility without me having to actually talk about myself. It was really important in this ad for me to not have to say, hey, I've been writing books about traffic and leads and doing all this stuff. I could do it by simply showing other people that are leveraging it, because I know that the first thing someone's going to say is, yeah, right, this doesn't work. Right. So we have to prove that. So now what we want to do in the next step is we want to introduce the first cta, the first call to action. All right, so this is what we're kind of setting up here. Hit the lights, please. Connor, can you bring in the chair? I created a training that's going to show you how to get your 80% of lost traffic back. Thanks, my man. Why? Because ad costs are going up, lead costs are going up, and conversions are going down because this Brick Wall page keeps blocking 80% of your traffic. Get out there. I'm about to expose this Brick Wall page and this Brick Wall funnel process for the. That it really is. You see, not only is this brick wall funnel blocking 80% of your traffic, so you can go ahead and hit pause. So we have this cta. We created a training. You know that. So what I'm doing right now in step six is just agitating the problem.
Agitate the problem. All right, so that's what we're doing, right? And then we're going over the problems again, and we're really trying to get these advertisers to feel the problem. And, hey, this is something that we need to fix. We can't keep losing this $200. So that's what's going on right here before the final step seven.
Oh, yeah. Also to the. The lights that shut off.
Yeah, that was definitely.
That was a good, kind of like, break in terms of the flow.
Yeah. I think attention. I think that that was just kind of us just.
Just add a little spice.
Just. Just adding hot sauce to the ad. And then after the. Agitate the problem, you leave with your final cta. Okay. Go ahead, let's check it out. There's four huge problems that's costing you time and money. And I'm going to share with you on this training. So when you click on the Learn More button, I'm gonna show you how you can use the caster method to get 200 more leads and 50 times faster sales. So go ahead and click on that Learn More button. Things are about to get real. I'm gonna expose this funnel got me breaking my, my money here for what it really is. Click on that Learn More button, I'll show you exactly how the casting method works. Okay, so if you notice, we had several CTAs and you and a lot of that me playing with the money. We break my break. We breaking my money here and letting it going is giving people enough time to really think about and click. A lot of ads stop so abruptly and then the person just like, okay, they move on. So when I'm agitating the problem, I've already given them a CTA to click and I just try in the best way possible is to keep agitating the problem even if I'm repeating the problem over and over again and tell them the solution is to click. And then we kind of let the ad drag on and that will improve your click through rates on your ads. So this is the process that we use with the ad.
Some things that we don't really put into the template that I think people have to understand is what we talked about earlier with the guy that left the comment. We purposely try to create ads that create engagement. Right? That's not, that's very difficult to do. I mean we like, for example, the original slap ad was perfect, right? It was so like outside the box, like people had to comment on it. So we're constantly trying to figure out ways to get a reaction, good or bad, but, but also trying to still stay on the message of what it is that we are trying to sell. Because sometimes people go way off with the attention grabber and it's unclear. It's. It makes the ad unclear because we have amazing tool like eboo, but we're driving traffic right to our webinar, right? And capturing leads. We have an advantage because if we aren't clear on our ad and they land right on the webinar, that doesn't do us any service because there's a disconnect, right? We don't want there to be any disconnect. So we want it to be extremely clear we have a solution to the webinar VSL issue. Why? Ad costs going up, lead costs going up, and when they click, they land right on the video. But ultimately, that's the template, man, and we encourage more hate. So what do you got to say? Engagement?
What do you got to say to the haters?
I mean.
You know what, I usually like to engage with the hater.
But this time I was just, the ad's just performing so well. I was too busy driving in. I didn't. But I would tell them, like, they just help us.
Thank you.
Yeah, thank you. It just helps the ad actually perform better and, you know, probably sad in a basement somewhere mad at his life and commenting. So at least I entertained him that morning. Well, hopefully this was helpful, whoever's watching. Yeah, hope you got value. See you on the next one.
