Welcome to today's meditation to help you communicate with confidence. Confidence is a skill and can be built through practice. Begin by sitting in an upright position, taking a moment to adjust your sit bones so that they are even on either side and really focusing on your spine as you bring it into straight alignment, feeling each vertebrae stack one on top of the other. If it is comfortable to do so, slightly roll your shoulders back to gently open up your heart. As you place your palms in your lap, facing upwards and gently close your eyes. Start to tune into the natural rhythm of your breath. No need to adjust or change it. Simply tune in and feel the sensations of your breath. Notice where you feel it in your body at the end of that breath. Just return to breathing at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth. Throughout the course of this meditation, imagine your breath is moving energy in and through you. This energy is uplifting, refreshing and enlivening. Your mind feels clear. Your body feels free. Your shoulders relax, your jaws relax. With each breath, every cell in your being is cleansed and renewed. With every inhale, you allow in confidence, clarity and embodied presence. With every exhale, you let go of insecurities, doubts and feelings of unworthiness. Make a sighing sound with each exhale, letting go of any stress, tension or fear. A few more breaths like that. Don't try to change anything. Just notice your breath. Is there any tension or tightness in the body? Remember that nervousness and excitement feel the same inside of us. Could it be that you are eager to speak with confidence? Maybe you are excited to give a presentation or speech in front of your colleagues. Repeat the following statements internally or out loud. I have been given the gift of speech. I am here to use my voice to touch the lives of those around. I don't have to impress anyone. My job is to show up as my most authentic self. I am not less than or more than the people around me. We are equal and all have something unique to say. Today is my day to communicate my ideas with confidence. I am comfortable and confident being my true self. The people around me enjoy spending time with me. Validation from others doesn't matter to me. I only need validation from myself. I respect myself when others make me feel small. I choose to stand up for myself. I don't have to be perfect. It is okay to make mistakes. The best speakers in the world feel anxiety and excitement. I am passionate and excited about what I have to say. Allow these statements to sink deeper into your mind. Let your body feel the confidence in your voice as you say these statements in your mind or out loud. Begin to notice this inner knowing that you are confident. Begin to notice what physical sensations this brings to you. You may notice a tingling or a vibrating feeling. What does confidence feel like within your body? As you feel this confidence within you, you now imagine before you a tall mirror. And in this mirror you see yourself. But there's something different. This is the version of you that exists. When you're fully confident, what do they look like? How do they carry themselves? What kinds of things do they do? Really? Get a good glimpse and understanding of this version of you and feel yourself embodying this version of you. Now, what does it feel like to be this incredibly confident version of yourself? There's nothing you need to do, no one. You need to prove anything to just connect with this confident version of yourself that already exists. And as you're tapped into that feeling, begin to feel appreciation towards yourself for taking the time to connect with your inner confidence. Take that feeling with you. As you begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes. Slowly open your eyes back to the room around you. Notice how you feel. Bring these feelings of confidence with you throughout the day. And remember, whenever you need confidence, it's already inside of you.
