I don't think any man is ever gonna want me for my emotions. My emotions are something that I would always have to downplay, because no man is gonna want to deal with my emotions.
I think that emotional depth you have is like a superpower. Men will and do love you for emotions. The challenge is you finding the boundaries around your emotions. If I'm feeling really, really sad and disconnected and insecure and comfortable, and I'm making it your job to make that those parts of me feel better, that's bad. Boundaries. If you just sort of spill out all this without containment, everything you're thinking and feeling, that's a lot of energy.
