Creative Visualization For Healing | Vishen Lakhiani

Vishen Lakhiani walks through a visualization technique for healing: relax, briefly view the problem, symbolically erase it, then imagine the healed version in full sensory detail. He cleared severe acne in five weeks doing five-minute sessions three times daily, though he stresses this complements rather than replaces medical care.

So in my first video, I spoke about creative visualization and how this can be such a powerful tool to helping you overcome barriers in life right now. And one of the barriers that creative visualization is particularly useful for is healing. Scientists such as Ocal Simonton, many doctors have found that when they apply it to patients, and when applied to patients, it's sometimes called imagery therapy, it helps accelerate rates of healing. So in my book, the Code of the extraordinary Mind, I share an instance about how when I was 17 years old, I'd been suffering from five years of really, really, really bad skin. I discovered creative visualization, and in five weeks, I healed my skin. Five weeks. So what I want to share with you in this video for all of the readers of my book is, is how you can apply the same technique to your life. Now, it doesn't just have to be for skin. It could be for any injury or ailment. I also used to be a martial artist. I would often get into crazy injuries in my sparring classes, and I would apply creative visualization to help my even bone fractures heal faster. So here's what it looks like when applied to healing. Now, to understand this video, to get the best effects, I recommend you watch the first training I released also on creative visualization. That tells you how to do the setup, the basic principles of how it works. Because right now, we're going to go into some advanced principles for healing. Okay? So first off, you must know what is it that you want to heal? Obviously, it is whatever ailment you are having. And you must know that creative visualization is not a substitute for modern medical advice. So see your doctor, take the medicine, do what your doctor tells you to do. Creative visualization works aligned with that. It simply helps you accelerate whatever healing process your doctor is already putting you on. Okay? Okay. So in my case, I had actually been seeing doctors for about five years to heal my skin. I'd gotten a lot of medicine, and it did help make things better, but my pimples would keep erupting. But after doing creative visualization, I was able to permanently heal my skin. Pimples and acne stopped emerging, and it took me five weeks. So the first thing is you wake up in the morning and you are at a relaxed state of mind, often called the alpha level. This is why many people meditate in the morning. They're already in that relaxed state of mind. Creative visualization, some say, is based on auto suggestion. Auto suggestion, which means that you are, in a way, hypnotizing yourself, works best when you're in a relaxed state of mind. So you would start in the morning. You would start by seeing a beautiful television screen in front of you. Your eyes are closed, a giant, futuristic television screen. And on that, you would project an image of whatever aspect of your body you want to heal. In my case, for example, I would see my face. I would see the pimples on my face, the. And I would feel those feelings of dread or insecurity going out into the world with bad skin. I would remember and reflect on the kids in high school who would call me pimple face or make fun of me because of my acne. And I would feel that pain for reasons we do not yet fully understand. Creative visualization works when you start by seeing what it is that you do not want. But here's what happens next. You would only spend a minute or so reflecting on this, reflecting on that pain. Then imagine yourself erasing that picture or turning off the television screen. And now you're going to project on that screen the healing that you want to experience. Now, when it comes to healing, you're going to add an additional step to the creative visualization process. In the normal process, as I shared in an earlier video, you'd immediately see the end result. You'd immediately see what it is that you want to accomplish. But here, when you're doing healing, there's an intermediary step. And this intermediary step is where you speak to your body using symbolism to get your body to heal. The subconscious mind doesn't understand the world through words. It understands the world through imagery and true symbolism. So what this means is that you do not have to be a doctor. You do not have to see your skin pores going through whatever scientific method is necessary for acne to stop. You would symbolically heal whatever it is that you are healing. So, for example, if you. If you're experiencing arthritis, you might imagine the pain as being white powder on your bones, dusty white powder. You might imagine you have a brush and you're gently brushing away this white powder. In my case, because it was skin, this was the exact symbolic visualization I would use. I would first see the sun's rays shining down on my skin, and I would imagine I could reach out into the sky and grab the sky as if the sky was some healing cream, blue healing cream. And I would put that all over my face. Then I would see the sun's ray shining down on this blue healing cream, hardening it. I would then, in my mind's eye, and the television in front of me, see Myself pulling off this hardened blue healing cream. And with it, all the dead skin would come off, all the acne, all the dead skin. The old skin flakes would emerge, exposing under it, healthier, younger skin. I would then see my skin reach down and imagine grass. And imagine I could scoop up the green nature of this grass. I would imagine, like a green putty in my hands and see that as being healthy. Put that on my skin again, look up at the sun, imagine the sun's rays shining down, and see this green putty blending in with my skin. And slowly from forehead all the way down to my chin, merging, filling in all the exposed pores, all the scars, and healing my skin. And then I would simply tell myself mentally, I love my beautiful, healthy skin. And that was it. That was all I did. Now, when you're applying creative visualization for a health problem, you do not want to do it once a day. If you're doing it for a particular goal or a project once a day, once a week might be enough when it comes to a serious health problem. According to one of the creative visualization pioneers, you need to do this three times a day. So each session will take maybe five minutes. I did this morning. I did it after getting back from classes, and I did it before going to bed. Three times a day for five weeks. But after doing this exact ritual three times a day, five minutes each for five weeks, at the end of five weeks, my skin got clear. And not only did it get clear, but the acne stopped emerging. So try this out and see if this works for you. Now remember the exact symbolism. There's nothing magical about it. The exact symbolism doesn't really matter. You can switch this up and change the symbolism to anything that matters to you. You have a back pain, imagine yourself being able to have a particular spray that you can spray on your back that heals your back and removes the pain. Have a fracture, a bone fracture. Imagine that you have a special kind of glue that you can use to glue your bones together and heal the fracture to your body, to your subconscious. It understands the world. It understands your intentions through symbolism. So it's okay for whatever you're visualizing to be non scientific, to be bizarre, to be based in that symbolism. Now we go on to the third step. The third step is where you see yourself completely healed. So I would now see myself with beautiful skin. I'd see myself walking outside, confident again, no longer plagued by nasty comments from mean people. I would see myself brimming with self confidence, happy about my skin, being excited about my future. I would feel that for a few moments. And if you remember video one, I would bring in all my other senses. My sense of touch, my sense of smell, my sense of hearing. I would feel the feelings of joy. And then I would see how this healing is not just benefiting me, but benefiting two or more people. So these are the four rules of the part three. In part three, you want to see yourself healed again, full color. Second, bring in all of your senses. Third, feel the feelings of joy or happiness from being healed. And fourth, see how your healing will benefit two or more people. So in my case, I saw how me being healed allowed me to basically function better in the world and thus be more confident, be more outgoing with my group of friends. And now you're done. Now, just as you're coming out, you want to end with a particular affirmation. I like to use the affirmation, let this or something better happen. And I found that that really works well for me. And you're done. So we can never guarantee that this is going to work for everyone, but I know that enough people have used creative visualization, and many have claimed incredible benefits, and it's definitely something worth checking.
