Vishen Lakhiani argues that modern plant-heavy diets deplete minerals and weaken bones. He shares stories of a teacher noticing lighter babies over decades and a surgeon who couldn't saw through his dense bone, claiming higher mineral intake, saturated fats, and vitamin D reverse the trend.

When my son was 1 years old, a teacher went to pick him up. A teacher had been teaching for 40 years. And she picked him up and said, oh, look, he's heavy like babies used to be. And she had noticed over 40 years that children are lighter because they don't have bone density because we're eating too many plants, we're not eating enough animal foods and we're eating mineral depleted foods. I recently had surgery on the bone in my foot because of an old yoga injury. The surgeon and I was awake during the surgery, he started cutting into the bone and he turned to the nurse and said, what's going on here? I can't get through this bone. And he came out afterwards, he said, dave, I just did a procedure on someone half your age and I could go through their bone and their foot. The same bone, like butter. The saw slowed down on your bones. Could it be that I have way more minerals in my body than typical people? I do, and that means my bones have more density. Guess what? Bone density is a great indicator of all cause mortality. You can fix yourself at any age, whether you're a teenager, whether you're 80 years old, by increasing minerals in your diet, eating more saturated fats and getting your vitamin D.
