Memorizing your speech is like the fastest way to forget what you were going to say right in front of the audience. And I'll tell you why. The thing is about memory, when you try to memorize a speech, you're trying to remember the words. And remembering the words is a very complicated thing for your mind. What you really want to do is remember the ideas. That's why I use speech mapping. Speech mapping allows me to do a talk where there is no place for me to lose. There's just a direction to go in. It allows me to be time flexible. I never need notes. I'm never depending on my slides. And I feel natural about the flow the entire time. If you memorize or rehearse your speeches, you walk up ready to blank, and that's pretty scary. If you want to know more about this, comment "speech map" and I'll send you some information.
