How Hypnotherapy Rewires the Mind for Change | Paul McKenna Full Webinar

Paul McKenna leads a 90-minute hypnotherapy session on rewiring beliefs about money and success. He walks participants through exercises like reframing limiting money beliefs, visualizing a higher financial thermostat, and imagining a best-year scenario with vivid sensory details. McKenna argues the unconscious mind drives behavior and that repeatedly adjusting your internal wealth thermostat creates new possibilities.

We don't need to go and pull every belief and talk about it like you would in therapy. We're just going to reprogram, repattern the way that you think about money.
Our viewers will know you, of course, as a hypnotist.
You did kind of blow me away because you got people I ask people in the audience to do all sorts of things. I ask somebody to join me on the stage. I do process with them. 20 minutes later, they're cured. Justin Bieber has been talking about how it's helped him with his anxiety.
I am super proud to say that last year Paul McKenna was the most popular author on Mindvalley.
Together with Mindvalley, I have created the number one hypnotherapy training in the world.
Paul McKenna's session was mind-blowing, amazing.
You can use the power of hypnotherapy to easily Reprogram your unconscious mind. 1, 2, 3, 4. To become more confident, more resilient, more optimistic, and achieve your true potential. Who feels good? Yeah! Woo!
Woo! Who feels good? Well, welcome to the special presentation with Paul McKenna. I'm honored to have Paul here as our guest today. First, as people are coming in, just want to share, Paul, we have 2,500 people live with us right now from all around the world. Now folks in the chat, share where you're from. Paul and I always love seeing the diversity of the Mindvalley audience. Now I'm currently in Florida. So the, the new university year is about to start here in the US, and I'm helping my son, who is going to be a freshman at the University of Florida, settle into his dormitory, buy a bike, you know, get, get ready to start school. It is blazing hot outside, but it is so wonderful to be in Florida. And I see we have people here from Calgary, Alberta, Ecuador, Vanuatu, Quito, Massachusetts, Chicago, Ghana, Utah, London, Ontario, Vancouver, Canada, Birmingham, Alabama. It is so nice to have all of you guys over here. Welcome. So before I bring up our guest today, Paul, let me do a quick intro to who this wonderful man is and why we are so excited to work with him. So Paul McKenna is a globally renowned hypnotherapist, behavioral scientist, international bestselling author. He has worked with people from Ellen DeGeneres to David Bowie to Daryl Hannah, James Corden. He's been featured in Good Morning America, Dr. Oz, Rachael Ray, Anderson Live, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and he is one of the number one nonfiction authors in all of the United Kingdom. In fact, I frequently catch up with Paul over breakfast when I'm in London, and we'll be opening up the newspapers and there's Paul. He's constantly written about. He is a legend in the UK.
Thank you.
And this is because Paul has the ability to go into your mind and switch off bad behavior, switch off unconscious programming that might be holding you back from what you are seeking in life. Okay? And what we're going to do today is we're going to give you an experience of that. So we're going to do 2 things. Number one, Paul is actually going to take you on a hypnotherapy experience. We want to give you a taste of what hypnotherapy is like. This experience is going to be on lifting barriers to abundance, any type of childhood programming, any type of idea that prevents you from actually stepping into your wealthiest self. The second thing we're gonna do, so we're gonna do that for 45 minutes. And the second thing we're gonna do is for those of you who are interested in going further, okay, in learning how to now go through 4 months of hypnotherapy with Paul, but in that process also learn to become a McKenna Mindvalley certified hypnotherapist, meaning you can go out there and apply hypnotherapy to your clients, to your business, and you can charge for it. We train 550 students every year. We put a cap on that. And we're going to talk about the McKenna Mindvalley School of Hypnotherapy. And for those of you who are interested in becoming a student, we'll do a short presentation of that with a Q&A. That's 45 minutes. So 45 minutes of the experience, 45 minutes, and I strongly advise you to stay. And we're going to talk about how you can continue going on a hypnotherapy journey with Paul and become qualified to teach it and to transform others. Because the best change that we go through is a change that we so fully embody that we can bring that change to other people. Okay. So with that, let's bring up the incredible, funny, wonderful man with the sexiest voice I know, Paul McKenna.
Thank you, Vishen. Thank you so much. Hello and welcome to what is going to be an extraordinary experience. So, A lot of people use hypnotherapy to help them overcome a problem, like lose weight, quit smoking, deal with anxiety and insomnia. But also it's used to help people optimize themselves. So every major athlete in the world has somebody like me work with them, a success coach who uses hypnosis or modern psychological techniques. CEOs, you know, people in the arts, rock stars, movie stars, etc. And so not only do I help people with problems, I help people to be better than they are already, right? Sometimes someone who's the best in the world comes to see me and I, I say, what's the problem? They go, no, I don't have a problem, I just want to be even better. So for example, in the world of athletics, the difference between a medal and an also-ran is about 1%. So my objective here today is to help you optimize yourself in relation to wealth, right? The wealth mindset, the, the, you know, the rich mindset is one of the most popular things these days. It's amazing. Hypnosis is very much something for weight loss and confidence, but these days a lot of people say, I've got wealth blocks, or I want to be able to think rich. Because when you think rich inside, it affects the way that you behave and the way you interact with the world, and then the results you get. Now, the best-selling self-help book of all time is Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, but it's about 80 years old. And about 20 years ago, I thought to myself, you know, I'm— it's a nice book, but, you know, it's, it's old-fashioned stuff and nobody's really written anything else, you know, to update it. And so I thought, you know what, I'm going to write my version, my, you know, modern equivalent using all the latest psychological technology to help people to overcome wealth blocks. Because Think and Grow Rich is about subconscious reprogramming, really. That's essentially it. And so what I'm going to do with you in this session So I'm going to do some of the techniques and move you out of any poor thinking into richer thinking. Yeah, so before we do that, I'd just like you to look at the major areas of your life, because even though this is about money, it's about a richer life generally. Now I'd like you to rate where you are at in these various parts of your life on a scale of 1 to 10. So think about your health, physical and mental. 1 would be bad, 10 would be brilliant. On a scale of 1 to 10, where's your health? If it helps, either write it down or make a note. Where are your relationships, personal and professional? Your career? Put the number down. Finances? Spiritual life, if that's important to you?
10.
And then your general levels of happiness, scale of 1 to 10. Okay, put that list aside. We'll come back to it in 45 minutes. So, thing is, I set out to write a— to study rich people, right? And it was amazing, you know, within a few days the universe conspired in my favor. I'm suddenly sitting next to Anita Roddick at a dinner party. She's the founder of The Body Shop. you know, fabulously wealthy, successful lady. And I said, you know, I've always wanted to meet you. And she said— I said, but I'm working on this. She said, I'll do it. I said, you don't even know what it is yet. She goes, I got a vibe on it. I said, I need to model you. That means study you and codify your strategy and mindset for successful business and for creating wealth. She went, sure. I get a call a few days later from Sir Richard Branson. He says, I'd like you to do this event for me? And I said, okay. He said, what are you going to charge me? I said, nothing, if you will let me study you and find out how you think rich. And he said, okay. I said, I'm writing a book, um, if you like it, would you do the foreword? He went, if I like it, I will. And he did. And then it was really interesting. So I began to just, you know, circle— it was amazing how life conspired positively. Stelios, the creator of EasyJet, You know, and then there was a very interesting man called Sir David Barclay, self-made billionaire, who contacted me about something. And I said, may I model you? And he said, you know, on this journey that you're going, Paul, you're going to meet some people who are, say, wealthy in terms of money, but they're not rich in terms of their life. You know, they might have, you know, uh, they might have created a lot of money, but they're always running from poverty inside their mind. Or, you know, they don't have any real friendships and, you know, things like that. And he says they could be wealthy, but they're not rich. And I said, that's really interesting. So there's a quote by Bob Marley, which is, some people are so poor, all they have is money. And so even though this is about money, I want to make sure that it's in context of being genuinely rich. Because for me, there's not so much that there are rich and poor people in the world, there are rich and poor thinkers. So poor thinkers are constantly coming from lack. They're in a— they can't get enough, right? Rich thinkers are in a mindset where they see opportunity. They think abundantly. They're thinking creatively. And we're going to— in this, in the next few minutes, I want to flip any negative subconscious beliefs you've got that are holding you back into a richer mindset of possibilities. You know, the way I think about it is Is, is that, uh, let's try an experiment first. If it's safe to do so, close your eyes. Yeah, rather than me explain it, let's just do it. If it's safe to do so, close your eyes, and I'd like you to think for a moment. If you had the richest life possible, if it was rich in every sense— relationships, career, money, all sorts of things, you know, fun times, etc.— what would it look like, sound like, and feel like? There you go. A really rich life. What would it look like, sound like, and feel like? Get a really strong sense of it because I'm going to be using that, and your unconscious mind is listening to everything I say. We're going to be using that to guide you into rich thinking. So when you imagine really rich, it feels nice, doesn't it? And the thing is, is that you'll never see millions in your bank account unless you can imagine them in your mind first, but that's coming later. Because let's just look at the, the main areas of your life. Now, if you had all the money in the world, would you do things differently? You see, thing is, the way I look at it is, if I have— a billionaire can afford a better bed than you or I, right? But when I have a really good night's sleep, in my mind, I'm sleeping rich, right? So in all the areas of my life where I wouldn't change something, where I feel This is already great. I'm living rich. And I want to notice that and reinforce it. You know, it's a bit like one of the best things you can do is a gratitude list, because every time you think about all you're grateful for, you reinforce it at the unconscious level. So you're coming from abundance. You're saying to the unconscious, look how much I have, bring me more of this, rather than I don't have and I want. Yeah. So we're reinforcing positive things here. And I'm going to just ask you some simple questions. If you had all the money in the world, would you change? Would you change your job? Now it's really interesting. Some caveat here. Some people say I wouldn't change it. I just wouldn't work as hard. Ah, so up until the point that you're working as hard as you want to, not beyond that, you're working rich, right? Let's let's also think about would you change what you eat? Now people go, well, yeah, I'd have a chef or I'd eat out more. Okay, but would you still not go to your favorite Italian, Indian, Chinese? Oh no, I still go there. So when you eat there, eating what you want, you're eating rich, right? Just, I'm trying to get your mind to notice where your life is already rich. If you had all the money in the world, would you change where you live? A lot of people say yes to that one. Okay, would you change your car? Everyone says yes to that. That's not such a big thing to change. Would you change your friends? You can do that for free, by the way. So I'm asking you to think about the areas of your life where you're already living rich. So by reinforcing them, you get more of that. You know, I remember when I wrote the Rich book about 20 years ago, I was walking down the street in Edinburgh, right? And the sun was shining, which is a rarity in Scotland. And Edinburgh is a beautiful City, right? And I was with a friend of mine and I suddenly went, wow, isn't this beautiful? Sun shining, beautiful city, I feel great myself. And I said, I'm having a rich moment. And he said, oh, what have you— have you thought of a new business or something like that? I said, no, this, this makes me feel just so, so good. All of it. That is thinking rich. I mean, in simple, it's just noticing how much you have So you tell your unconscious mind, bring me more of it. Now, what I'd like you to do next is we're going to go after some potential money blocks, right? Because you see, money inherently isn't good or bad, right? You know, it's really the oil in the machine that allows the exchanging of goods and services in the world, right? And so, you know, if you and I sit here and we pass a dollar bill back and forth, we could spend a million bucks. Right? So people say to me stuff like, well, it says in the Bible money's the root of all evil. I say, actually it doesn't. It says the love of money is the root of all evil. That is treating money like a commodity, hoarding it, you know, in a greedy, you know, way. And yeah, I can, I can agree with greed being, you know, certainly the root of all evil. So there are terms like fat cat and filthy rich and These are, if you like, little prejudices that people have, you know, about rich people. And look, if, if you dislike rich people, how are you going to become one of them? Or if you think to yourself, in order to become that, I'm gonna have to become selfish and ruthless, and who'd want to do that? You don't have to do that. And so these kind of ideas about what becoming rich means or rich people are If you have those going on in the unconscious mind, they will hold you back from from having a rich and wealthy and abundant life. You know, I mean, it's um it's very easy to look at people who've been successful and feel a sense of envy, but it's much more emotionally well to be happy for them because it releases the energy around you. Holding yourself back. Now, what I'd like to do to demonstrate this to you, I'd like to give you something tangible to look at. It's an exercise called the Meaning of Money. All right, now we're going to put this up, and in a moment you'll see there are a bunch of statements, and these statements are followed by a gap. So what I want you to do now is get something you can write on. You don't have to write out the whole sentence, But number one, people with money are, and I want you to write down the first thing that comes into your mind. So people with money are, you just write whatever it is, right? And then the next one is money makes people, and then just write the first thing that comes into your mind. Just write number three, I'd have more money if. And then put the first thing that comes into your mind. My parents always thought that money would, and then bam! First thing that comes into your mind. Money causes. First thing that comes into your mind. I am afraid that if I had more money, I would bam! First thing. That comes into your mind.
Money is—
write it down. That's number 7. Number 8, in order to have more money, I would need to— and just put the first thought. 9, I think money— first thought. Number 10, if I were really rich, I would— and then first thought that comes into your mind. Number eleven. My biggest fear about money is bam. Oh, don't don't worry about twelve. It's a repetition. Okay. So when you've got that list of those thoughts that come into your mind, and particularly what I'm looking for because I want to help somebody who has this. If you've got a bunch of negative things like people with money are selfish or money makes people greedy or something like that. Right. If you've got a list of those, right, then I need you to, to let Caro, our technical manager, know, right? So raise your hand or whatever it is. And in just a moment, we're going to find somebody who's got a list of negatives. And believe me, you know, it's not a bad thing. So there's no shame in this. It's just— this is just from conditioning, because you'll find that a lot of the beliefs you have about money either you picked up in your childhood or that they were conditioned and reinforced by people around you and to some extent by modern culture. You know, you know, we in the UK, we have tabloid newspapers. I saw the other day it said a list of rich people so rich you'd want to slap them. And I thought, why would that be? Why would people even think like that? You know, but unfortunately they do. So if somebody has A list of negatives. Then, Kara, if you can find me somebody— is it— who is it that you found? Is it Linda? And maybe it's not. So whoever it is, Kara, somebody— yep, it is Linda, actually. Hi, Linda. Where are you? You need to turn your microphone on, if that's okay.
That's great.
Just unmute yourself. Hi Linda, where are you joining us from today?
From Montana.
Montana, beautiful part of the world. And, um, I've got to ask you, so when you looked through these, um, these, the, the meaning of money statements, you had some negatives in there, is that right?
Yeah.
Okay, so we're just going to go through them. I'm going to read out the statement and I'd like you to give me the word or words that go at the end. So to begin with, People with money are— what did you put?
Judgmental.
Judgmental. Did you write these down or were you just telling me them? No, I wrote—
I, from pre-on, I wrote them down. I had to get a piece of paper.
Okay, sure. Money makes people—
Money makes people upset. Upset, right.
I'd have more money if—
I was smarter.
My parents always thought that money would—
Um, which number was that?
This is, uh, number 4. My parents always thought that money would—
Get in the way.
Get in the way. Right. So, okay, we're doing great, um, because we can flip these in a moment. Money causes— this is number 5. Money causes upset. Yeah, I'm afraid. Number six, I'm afraid that if I had more money, I would be mean. Be mean. Sorry. Okay, because you see how that you know with beliefs like this in the unconscious, your unconscious mind is not going to let you near the money.
Okay.
Okay, number seven: money is hard to get. Hard to get. All right, number eight: in order to have more money, I would need to get smarter. Get smarter. Okay. Now, you think thing is, Linda, a lot of people watching here have written similar sorts of things, and it's okay, right? It's just conditioning. It's just you know it's a mindset, and. The thing is that what we're going to do is we're going to begin to ease out of that. And see, money is just a tool, right? It just allows the exchange of goods and services. Money doesn't have an opinion about you, right? Money, money just is, right? And so given that it's a tool, I'm going to replace the word money with another tool, say shovels, you know, a shovel you use to dig things. And so what will happen is, as you begin to see the mindset around this, and then we're going to do a couple of other processes, you know, there'll be a shift in the way you think about money. So I'd like you to say what you've written down here for number one. People with shovels are. So it was people with money are. So people with shovels are. Mean. Mean, are they? People with shovels are mean. Number 2, shovels makes people—
I think I had mean for number 2.
2 as well. Number 3, I'd have more shovels if I was smarter. If you were smarter. Number 4, my parents always thought that shovels would Um, hurt people. Hurt people. Shovels would hurt people. Okay. And finally, number 5, just for now. Shovels causes—
Upset.
Upset.
Okay.
So you're beginning to see there's a sort of— that there's— by the way, there's nothing wrong with having negative beliefs in the unconscious, right? The unconscious mind is not logical. It's purposeful. Its purpose is survival. So if you think that it's going to make you mean, it's going to hurt people, it's going to all these things, your unconscious mind is going to stop you from allowing more money in. Does that make sense?
Yeah.
Great. Linda, I want to thank you for joining us today. I'm going to move on to, to just do this with everyone. Then we're going to move on to a few more processes. So I want to get as much in as I can. Thank you, Linda. Okay. So I'd like everyone just to do that now, to just go through the list once again and see what you've written. But this time we're going to put shovels in. So people with shovels are whatever you've written. Shovels makes people. Number 3, I'd have more shovels if. Number 4, my parents always thought that shovels would. Number five, shovels causes. Number six, I'm afraid that if I had more shovels, I would. And number seven, shovels is etcetera etcetera. So you get the general idea. Just look that that's it. All I'm looking for is for you to shift out of someone's put. I'd have more shovels if I would steal them. So all I'm looking at is just for you to see any unconscious beliefs that are holding you back, and and then when you make them absurd by putting the word shovels in, you go, oh, I see. Oh yeah, yeah, okay, okay, okay. Now the thing is that as I mentioned just now, that the unconscious mind is not logical; it's purposeful. And I'm going to do a process with you in just a moment that would— it's deceptively simple but super powerful. And the reason that I came to this was back in the 1980s. So I've been doing this for 40 years. When I started out as a hypnotherapist, this guy came to see me and he said, you know, whenever I start to get successful, I sabotage myself. Anybody here suffer from self-sabotage? Maybe a little imposter syndrome, etc. So what was really interesting was I, I wouldn't do it like this now. We're not going to do it like this now, but I was an old-school hypnotherapist in the '80s, and I— so what I did was I took this guy and I hypnotized him. I said, I want you to go to the time where this self-sabotage first happened, right? This is one of my favorite stories, right? And this guy went back to when he was a child, and he said, I'd said to my mother, I was a little boy, and I said, when I grow up, I want to be successful. And she went, oh, so I'm rich? She went, no, you don't want to be successful, son. Those successful people, they have heart attacks. Now, there is no logical link between success and heart attacks, right? But you've got to think about it like this. A young impressionable person spoken to by an authority figure With emotional intensity. Bam! It went straight into his unconscious mind with the power of a hypnotic suggestion. So what then happened was, even though he's grown up, there's a part of his unconscious mind that's going, success equals heart attack. So every time— it's not logical, it's purposeful, right? Its purpose is survival. Every time he started to get some successful, his unconscious mind would go, hang on, we can't have this, and sabotage it. And he kept blowing it, and he knew he was blowing it. Every time he went for a business meeting, he screwed up. And he just knew he was doing it, but he couldn't stop himself. Because no matter what you consciously want to do, the unconscious or the subconscious, which is the domain of a hypnotist, has the final say. Now, this process that we're about to do in just a moment, I'm going to ask you to concentrate concentrate on, we'll be using the power of your subconscious mind. And it's pretty awesome actually how it works, because there can be a part of you— we talk about this in our everyday lives— part of me really wants to go to the cinema, but a part of me wants to stay at home. And you know, it's, it's not as though there are 2 people inside you, but these are 2 aspects of self. And when you have conflict like that, it's like driving down the street With your foot on the accelerator and slamming on the brake, it makes for a bumpy ride through life, right? But what happens is when you can get these 2 parts to work together, which is what we're going to do in just a moment, what happens is it's like easing on the accelerator and easing off the brake, easing on the accelerator and easing off the brake, right? It makes for a smooth ride through life. Like you surf through life. Now, I remember doing this process I'm about to do with you a few— I mean, I've done it a thousand times, right? But I did it with a lady who came on the stage at one of my events, and she was dressed really scruffy. And, you know, she was a smart lady, but she just couldn't really make anything work. She had ideas about things she wanted to do, but no direction really. And she, you know, she wasn't in a relationship. Anyway, I got the part of her that wanted to succeed and achieve in one hand, and the part that was holding her back, that either sabotaged for whatever reason, didn't believe she could handle success, it would all be too much for her, didn't believe she deserved it because she wasn't that great a person. Now, the 2 parts have got positive intent. One wants to succeed and achieve, the other wants to protect. What happens is you get the 2 parts together like this, and you get them to figure out at the unconscious level how they can both work together. And then when it feels like it's possible, the unconscious has found ways to work together, boom, you integrate it. So about a year later, I bumped into her and I didn't recognize her, right? She was in a smart suit and she looked great, you know, and she was with a handsome guy that she, you know, she was in a relationship, but she started a business and it was doing phenomenally well. Now the thing is, a human being is an interdependent system, right? So when you change one aspect of a person, you get them aligned, what happens is all the other areas of their life— the money, the health, the relationships, the career, all that sort of— it all begins to slot into place and work together to propel someone into a better life, right? So what we're going to do now Is we're going to do that process. By the way, don't be too surprised at how powerful this is. I've been doing this for about 40 years now, and even though this is a simple process, super powerful. I've seen people's whole lives change from this one process. So you need to place your hands out in front of you with your palms facing up, and then if it's safe to do so, close your eyes.
Next.
I'd like you to get in touch with that part of you that would like to either be financially richer, more successful, happier in your career or relationships, the part of you that wants to find a relationship, right? And any other areas of your life that we'll put under the category of success. Now, on the other hand, I would like you to put the part of you that stops you That holds yourself back, that limits you or sabotages you. Now, I'm going to— I'm going to talk to that part for a moment because I know that it has a positive intent, but I'd like it to find new ways to achieve all of its positive intention without holding you back in future. And in theory, that's possible, isn't it?
Yes.
Now get in touch with those 2 parts again, the part of you that wants success and the part of you that holds you back, limits you, or stops you. And then bring your hands together so they're on top of each other, they're together, they're united. Now don't try and figure this out consciously because it'll be too much. Let the unconscious mind Figure it out. The unconscious mind is the larger mind. It can make billions of computations every second. That's right. Right now it's figuring out how these 2 parts of you can work together to fulfill both of their positive intentions. And you don't have to know how it is they're going to do it. You just have to let it— just let the unconscious figure it out. Just sit here with me in this process. Yeah. These 2 parts of you, the one that wants success and the other that's holding you back or stopping you or sabotaging, they both have positive intent. Just let them, at the unconscious level, figure out how they're going to work together. And all that will happen is that you'll feel that it's possible. And it may be feeling possible already, or maybe it'll take a few more moments before it feels possible. And the moment that it feels like, yeah, it's possible they could work together, You don't know how. You don't have to at the moment. You do that, put your hands together and integrate this new super part into you.
That's right.
Keep your hands on your chest as you see what you see, hear what you'll hear, and feel how good it will feel to have greater success in your life. And you may have greater success in terms of your career or your wealth or Or your relationships or your health, all kinds of different areas of your life. As you have greater success, what will it look like, sound like, and feel like? And you don't have to know how it's going to happen because it's happening at the unconscious level. For anything to happen in the outer world, it's first got to happen in the inner world. That's right. Keep your hands on your chest, seeing what you'll see, hearing what you'll hear, And feeling how good you feel as you experience a richer life, free of limitations and all self-sabotage, any imposter syndrome, things that were holding you back. So you begin to fulfill more of your true potential. What will you see? What will you hear? And what will you feel?
That's right.
That's it. Beautiful. And then when you're ready, open your eyes and come on back out.
Hmm.
Now the way this works is some people go, oh, I, I can feel it, there's a shift has happened. Wow, I, I've, I've, I've moved beyond something. I, I've reconfigured something at the unconscious level. And I, I mean, oh my word.
I—
now other people go, you know, I, I don't know, I don't know, I may, may have had a shift. Okay, now whatever you've experienced, whether you— wow, Yeah, something shifted, something cleared. I've moved forward. Or, hmm, something may have gone. I'm not really sure. That's fine. Whatever you felt is fine for you. But when you look back upon this session that we had in a few days from now, maybe weeks or whenever, and you notice how life has changed, you can see it looking backwards. It's— Steve Jobs says it's easier to join the dots looking backwards. Than going forwards. And so you don't have to know right now how your life is getting better or gonna get better. You just need to trust in the process, because I've been doing this for 40 years now, and this is one of the simplest techniques with the most profound change. It was created by my dear friend Dr. Richard Bandler, the creator of neurolinguistic— co-creator of neurolinguistic programming. Amazing psychological technology that we actually incorporate in our hypnotherapy training, as well as the modern hypnotherapy techniques. Now, as this is about the wealthy, rich mind and abundance, we're going to do a process in just a moment around money. And this, this again is to move you outside of your thermostat. You know, it's really interesting. About 70% of people who come into money— thank you for all the appreciation, by the way— about 70% of people who come into money quickly through inheritance, lottery wins, or something like that, within a few years have gotten rid of it. It's an extraordinary statistic, isn't it? But the reason is, is because they haven't become rich on the inside, right? There's a fascinating experiment where people are asked to imagine that they're job interview and, you know, the salary is like $60,000, but when they go for the final interview, they've misread it. It's $600,000. And what feelings does that bring up? And nearly everyone goes, oh, it just feels uncomfortable. It's too much. Right. Now, when you've got that going on, your thermostat is set at a particular level, you know, and again, it's unconscious. And when it comes to manifesting, a lot of people I've noticed do it 2-dimensionally. They have a vision board or they write their goals down. And there's nothing wrong with that because, you know, that's, that's, um, if you're clear about it, that's really neat, you know. Um, and also they do it 3-dimensionally. They imagine what it's going to look like, sound like, feel like when they've achieved what it is that they want to. I like to do it 4-dimensionally, and we're going to do 2 processes before we finish this session to do manifesting or mind programming 4-dimensionally. That's in time-space. So I'd like someone to help me with this. who has got their own business, say, but wants to make more money and just goes, you know, I really want to make more money. Now, if you haven't got a business but you work within a business, that's fine too, because you see, if you are an employee, you are the product, right? And basically you get rewarded for life by adding more value. So whether you add more value through your business or you add more value working in a business, you get rewarded. By the way, I should say it's perceived value actually, because supermodels are paid more than doctors because their perceived value is greater, right? So when you invent something or you have a service or something like that that provides value to people, you get rewarded for it. Working in a company, you do too. But what we're going to do is I'm going to do a process with somebody in just a moment, then we're all going to do it, whereby you push through the thermostat of what you feel is comfortable to a point where it's like, oh my God, it's so much, it's almost too much. And that process will alter the amount of money that you allow to come in based on your subconscious. This is so subconscious, unconscious, that means you won't be aware of it. Thermostat, that's that comfort zone around money. And we're going to do it in time-space, right? So everybody, when they think about how much money they have— like, if I think about it, I've got money coming in, I've got a, I've got a current account, savings account, investments, right? So I can see these things, but I know they're that, that much further in front of me, the number. Now, some people see it as a block, some people see it as an actual number. And when I work with somebody in just a moment— you just need to raise your hand and Carrie's gonna Select somebody. When we do that and we push the numbers up, it feels good. But then we push them so far, it goes through a threshold, goes and and it changes it, right? And it changes. So instead of you feeling uncomfortable having so much money coming in, right? It pushes it so that it feels much more natural, normal, and you can accept it. So, Kara, who do we have? this. Um, uh, oh, you've got quite a few people raising their hands here. Uh, who do we have who wants to do this process with me? By the way, you'll see when we do this. All right, so it's Sarah, or Sarah I should say. Uh, yep. So is that— yep. Hi, is it, is it Sarah or Sarah?
First of all, it's Sarah.
Sarah. Hello, Sarah. So whereabouts am I speaking to you in the world today?
I'm in Poulton near Blackpool in Lancashire, Northwest.
Lovely part of the country. So, Sarah, um, you have your own business, right? Is that it?
Yes.
Yes. Okay, do you mind me asking what business you're in?
Yeah, so I'm a counselor in private practice.
Great. Okay, so doing great work helping people. Fantastic. Now, thing is, I don't want you to tell me any numbers with this, but what we're going to do is in just a moment we're going to see how we, we represent how much money we have. Um, you know, like for example, for me I can see current account, savings account, investments. And when money comes in, I see emotion. Like, you know, some people actually see something physical, or they see like an energy shift or something. And some people have a block, and the bigger the amount is, the block is bigger. Everyone is unique in the way that they represent it. But what we're going to do is use your neurocoding, your actual— how— where it is spatially in front of you. Then we're going to see, is it a number or is it a block? When you think about— and do you have more than one number going on there? So if I say, do you think about how much money you have? Don't tell me a number, just tell me, say, yeah, I see a number, or yes, I see a block, or something like that, or I see several accounts.
Yeah, I see a block.
You've got a block of—
yep.
And do you see a number on top of that block or inside it?
Yes.
Yeah. Okay, great. So it's a block with a number, right? Has it got a color? A color? Yes. What colour is it? Purple. Great. Do you have one number or do you have different? You have like a current or a savings or you just have one overall number?
3.
You've got 3. 1, 2, 3. So it's a current, a savings and some other account. Tax account or something. All right.
Okay, great.
Whatever it is. Okay. Now, here's the magic. Okay. All right. I'd like you to just take a moment, just point at 1, 2, 3 numbers. Just, just so this is for you, so you know where they are.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So point at 1, point at 2, point at 3. Right. What I'd like you to do is close your eyes and increase the number in one of them, like the one where the money comes into, by 10%. Right. Then knock that on to the other 2 so you see it go up 10%, 10%, 10%. Maybe the block gets slightly bigger or the color changes or something like that. Yeah. Now take it up another 10%. And then another 10%. And then another 10%. That's it. That's all 3 up 10%. Another 10%. And then take them up another 10%. We want to take it up and we want to break through the glass ceiling of this. Take it up 50%, thereabouts, roughly another 50%. You don't have to have the exact number, just roughly.
Yeah.
That's it. Here we go. So here we go. And take it up 100%. And then another 100%. And then 100%. And then another 100%. Because we want to break through the old settings and it go— that's it, 100%. Another 100%. Another 100%. Until it's almost like too much. And then take it up another 100%. And then take it up another 100%.
It's so hard to see.
It's too— yeah, people go, well, I, I don't know how I'm gonna— I said, you don't have to. What we're doing is just pushing the unconscious mind to make the numbers go higher, right? Okay, so then open your eyes, come on back out. So that feels good, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And now when you look at the numbers, they're higher than they were. Yeah, and the— it's great, isn't it? And the possibility— so the possibility of having higher numbers in your bank account feels more real now? Yes. Yeah, yeah. Okay, you know, Sarah, thank you so much. Bless you. Thank you. And thanks for taking part with this. Practice this every day, right? Push the numbers up.
Okay, that feels great. Thank you so much.
Thank you. Much love. God bless. Okay, so the point in doing this, you see, when I, when I modeled the super rich people, I found their strategy, right, for making money. And what was really interesting was they all had a similar strategy, whether they were selling airline tickets, cosmetics, whatever. And rather than teach you that strategy, I then devised techniques to help people move out of their limiting beliefs into greater possibility. Right? And that's far more useful for me to do. So I just gave you the strategy, but you didn't have a richer mindset. It really wouldn't make that much difference. Do it the other way around. You just tell the unconscious mind, bump the levels of wealth in, you know, in my mind. And what happens is then it comes up with ways to do it. Now, I've got to tell you, when I did this whole process after I devised this system, this is about 20 years ago, I did it on 12 people. Every single one of them made more money. One of the people in the group went from fairly humble earnings to, to making over $1 million in a year, right? Because he had these resources that he didn't realize he could just charge more. He felt more comfortable charging with it because he'd moved his financial thermostat. So the way you saw me do this with Sarah, we're all going to do this now. So take a moment to think about how much you have and then how you represent it. It might just be like one number. It might be 1, 2, 3. Very common to have 1, 2, and 3. You know, may have more, but certainly— and notice where the distance is, the color, the shape, all of it. This is all part of the neurocoding, right? Because when we push this, what happens is we get a sense in how we feel, but we're unconsciously programming our mind to be open to making more money and to creating ways Of doing it, right, at the unconscious level. So look at your numbers now, bump them all by 10%, and then increase them by another 10%, and then increase them by another 10%.
That's right.
And then increase them by another 10%, and then another 10%, and another 10%. That's it. Just keep roughly— you don't have to be exactly Now make them go up by 50%, and then another 50%, and then another 50%, and another 50%, and another 50%, and then 100%, 100%, 100%. Just keep it— just keep them going until it's overwhelming. Another 100%. That's right. I want to change the neurocoding, the conditioning you have around what's acceptable as an amount of money for you to have. Push them up another 100%. 100%. And 100%, that's it. Keep the numbers going up.
Wow!
And then stop. Open your eyes. Come on back out. Feel different, right? If you sat and did that every day, you are programming your unconscious mind not just to allow greater amounts of wealth in, but also to get it. What happens is start to think about ways you can create it rather than the other way around. Yeah, the way that most people do it. I've got this plan. I've got this passion for this. That's which is fine. But bump it in the unconscious first, you're much more open to other opportunities. Okay, so we're going to finish with a little bit of hypnosis. And with this, we're not going to go off into a deep trance, but I want you to be able to concentrate on this thoroughly because that's really what hypnotic trance is about. To some extent, it's concentrating. Sometimes in a trance you get so relaxed you lose track of time. We're not going to do that sort of trance this time.
Okay.
Now, I need you to think about how you consider time. Now, for example, if I think about next week and I think about what I'm doing, it's there in front of me. Next month is a bit further away. Christmas is further, and next year is even further, and the past is behind me. Now, some people have the past on their left, the present moment here, and the future goes off to the right. Some people see it go around. There is no right or wrong way to code time. Take a moment now and just see where next week, next month, next year is. Look at the direction in which time moves for you. Okay, now if it's safe to do so, close your eyes and relax. Take a deep breath in, let it go. And I'd like you to float out on your timeline One year from now, float all the way out. It's a year into the future, and a year into the future, I'd like you to imagine it's been your best year yet. It's been one of the best years of your life, if not the best year yet. If that's true, what must have happened in regard to your health? Mental and physical. If you've had one of the best years of your life, if you've had one of the best years of your life, what must have happened in regards to your relationships, personal and professional? What must have happened in regards to Your career, if it's been one of the most amazing years of your life, if it's been one of the best years, what must have happened in regard to your finances, your spiritual life, and your general levels of happiness? Wow. Live a day in this amazing, in this amazing moment. What do you see, hear, and feel? If it's been one of the best years of your life, what do you see, hear, and feel one year in the future?
Now.
I'd like you to notice how good that feels and notice where it feels really good in your body and give that feeling a color, any color you like, and move that color up through your body into your neck, around your head. That's it, good. Down through your shoulders, move that color down through your arms and hands and fingers, move it down through your stomach into your legs, to the tips of your toes, and double the brightness and double it again. That's it, keep doubling it until you're glowing with this color. Now float backwards on your timeline, leaving that picture of you healthy, happy, and successful a year from now. Float back 3 months and ask yourself, what happened 3 months before? Just get a sense of it. And then float back another 3 months before that and ask yourself, what happened 3 months before? And just get a sense of it. And then float back another 3 months before and ask yourself what happened then. Just get a sense of it, that's all. And float all the way back to now. And I'd like you to look out at the next year of your life and see images of you 3, 6, 9, and 12 months healthy, happy, and successful. That's it. 3 months from now, see a picture of you on your timeline, healthy, happy, and successful. 6 months from now, healthy, happy, and successful. 9 months, and then 12 months, and then, if you like, way off into the future— 2 years, 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, 30 years. That's right, just see a succession of images of you healthy, happy, and successful, because your life is going to get better, and the change you keep Is the change that you create in yourself and for others. Because if you do this every day, you get more of what you focus on, and you will be programming your unconscious mind to bring you this more amazing life. And then when you're ready, open your eyes and come on back out, and let's just Check, shall we? Feeling good, by the way. Just look at the major areas of your life and have the numbers shifted. If you think about your health, what's the new number? Think about your relationships, what's the new number? Career, what's the new number? Finances— this is great, these numbers. Spiritual life and your general levels of happiness.
Wow.
So if you do this every day, because you get more of what you focus on— remember, we're doing it in time-space on the timeline— it's organizing all of your thinking, all of your energy, all of your creative resources to make your life more like this. Don't be too surprised at how much better you feel, not just about the future right now, but when you look back on this process in a few days or weeks from now. Okay, so that completes the introduction to modern hypnotherapy in regard to creating that rich mindset in every sense, moving you beyond limitations and into greater possibilities. And I really hope that you've got the kind of shift and change that you were hoping for during this session. And if you haven't yet, Just wait and see what happens. Okay, so with that, I'm going to pass back to Vishen, and we're going to talk to you about our hypnotherapy training that we do at Mindvalley, which, um, has transformed the lives of so many people. And we want to help you to transform your life and be able to transform the lives of others as well. So if you have questions, we're happy to answer those. But we just want to talk to you about what it is that we have planned.
Hi, everyone. And hi, Paul. I hope you guys had an amazing taste of hypnotherapy. Now, for those of you who are interested in going deeper with Paul, what we'd like to do in the next 45 minutes or so, actually 40 minutes, is that we are going to show you how the McKenna Mindvalley School of Hypnotherapy works. We have space for about 120 students this year. That is a hard cap. Because we cap ourselves at 550 new hypnotherapists every year. Now let me— let's go straight to the information so that we can get started, because I know many of you showed up because you were excited to learn about this. So today you didn't just learn hypnotherapy, you got a taste of it tonight. And thank you, Paul, for giving us that wonderful taste. What we sought to do Was give you a feeling of what it means to go through hypnotherapy. Some of you would have experienced a deep shift. Some of you may experience nothing at all. And for either, it's okay. Sometimes it works very fast. Sometimes it takes a number of repetitions. Now, the only question is, how do you make that concept of free-flowing abundance permanent so that you don't hit another wall? And likewise, hypnotherapy goes beyond abundance. How do you make the idea of access to confidence permanent so you don't suddenly develop the jitters if you're asked to give a stage talk? How do you make the concept of a body that's continuously healing and rejuvenating itself permanent so that even when you do get sick, which can be inevitable sometimes, you bounce back fast? Okay. So this is what Paul and I sought to do several years ago. After Paul put me through a hypnotherapy session that genuinely changed my life, we decided to team up and create the McKenna Mindvalley School of Hypnotherapy. Now, one of the reasons we started this school is because we wanted to be able— and Paul, I just wanna make sure, can you see my slides? Yes, I can. Yeah. Okay. Can we— just wanna stop. Mindvalley is sharing some slides. I just wanna stop that. Mindvalley team, there's another share happening. Would you mind taking that away? Okay, let me just end that. Stop video. Okay. Okay, gonna do this again. Alright, you guys could see the slides, right, folks?
Yeah, can see them now.
Okay, fantastic. So this is— we set up the McKenna Mindvalley School of Hypnotherapy because I was teaching meditation. And, you know, Even a concept like meditation, you can go deep, you can feel relaxed. But what if you could create a permanent shift? So when you come out of the meditation, what happens is that your nervous system is relaxed even when you face a tricky situation. How do we go deep and rescript the subconscious? So I created this because this was something that I really wanted to learn, and I knew Paul was one of the best people to teach it. Now here's the key idea I want you to take away. The change you keep is the change you can create in yourself and in others. And what this means is that if you can create a shift in another person, you can most certainly create that shift in yourself. When Paul trains you, he's doing hypnosis on you the entire time. When he's training you to be a hypnotherapist, you go through that shift. It's installed like an app is installed on your phone. It's not memorized. You transform first, and then he teaches you step by step what he did so you can go and you can bring that transformation to others. Okay? Now here's an example, right? You don't have to take it from me. This is Julie Robertson. She's an education counselor in Scotland, and she enrolled in this program just for herself. And this is what she said. She said literally, it was my intention to learn this for my own benefit. But I realized quite quickly into the course how powerful it is and how far too good it is not to share. So what I want you to do is in the chat, I want you to type in the word shift if you felt something today. Just type in shift in the chat. So look at that, right? That's thousands of nervous systems changed. And by the way, Paul, since we started, we went from 2,500 when you started the call. We now have 3,400 people here. So that's pretty exciting. I love it when a teacher can hold attention that well. And look at all of the people who have typed in shift. That's amazing. And I'm so glad that you got to join us today in the middle of a workday. Okay. Now, before we go further, okay, before we start talking about the McKenna Mindvalley School of Hypnotherapy, I do wanna pause here because there's some important things that some of you were asking in the chat that we want to answer. And the most important is this. I can't visualize. Several of you typed this out. Paul, could you address this, please?
Absolutely. Now, a lot of people think that in order to visualize, you have to see something really clearly like reality. And that's not the case. Very few people can do that. You know, professional designers can hallucinate something really, really real. But most people see things different. You know, they see something So if I say to you, here you go, what color is your front door? We'll go, well, it's brown or black. We'll go, okay, which side is the handle, on the left or the right? It's on the right. So in order to recall that, you have to visualize it, but you don't recall it as real as reality. There is a— there's a proportion of people, it's very small, that think they can't visualize, but what happens is they make a picture and they send it away. But like anything, this is a skill. And one of the things during the hypnotherapy course is as you practice these things, you get better and better at it. It's like, you know, the more you use a muscle, the stronger it gets. And so like any skill, you'll become better at visualizing, imagining, or remembering things that are going to support you. And that will happen just through repetition, like anything you practice.
Thank you, Paul. Okay, now 2 more questions. Um, I didn't go under.
Okay, so a lot of people assume that being hypnotized means that you're unconscious, like being asleep. Now, sometimes, because people get very relaxed, they actually do fall asleep, but that's not the intention usually of hypnosis when I'm doing it. What I'm asking you to do is I'm asking you to kind of concentrate That's really another word for describing hypnosis, is focusing your attention in the way that we just did. And I got you to, you know, imagine a better future. So, um, because of this preconceived idea that people have to be, you know, deeply asleep— and I understand where that comes from, that comes from movies and from stage hypnosis shows where somebody appears to go at the snap of fingers into a deep sleep. But that's okay in a stage show, but modern hypnotherapy is actually done differently. It's done in what seems like a conversation. And also, our course, by the way, is different to the old traditional hypnotherapy courses that are based on models from the 1960s. Ours is a much more sophisticated approach where we use language, we use concentration, with some visualization, but also sophisticated ways of talking to the unconscious mind. We talk to the right brain and the left brain and the whole brain. And so you don't have to be unconscious to, inverted commas, go under. The moment I start speaking and you're listening to me, I'm giving you hypnotic suggestions. That's how it works.
Thank you, Paul. And Paul, the final question is, you know, There's a belief that some people just cannot be hypnotized. Let's talk about that.
Okay, so I've never met anyone who can't be hypnotized, but I have met people I couldn't cure or successfully treat, let's say. And I actually can count on one hand those people in the last, uh, 25 years or so. Um, as I say, I've been doing it for about 40 years. So the thing is that hypnotherapy doesn't work For everyone, every single time, but it works for most people most of the time when it comes to behavioral changes. So it's the best way in the world to quit smoking, without a doubt, looking at the statistics. It's possibly the best way to lose weight. It's certainly a phenomenally good way to become more confident and to overcome insomnia. So when people say to me— people sometimes say to me, I'm not suggestible. And I'll say, well, what's your name? Frank. I'll say, what color is the sky? It's blue. How do you know? Well, I just know. Well, no, you know because somebody once gave you a suggestion that that was your name and it got reinforced and they told you the sky was blue. So these are common misconceptions that lots of people have, but I can tell you that When people say to me, I can't be hypnotized, I'll say, well, I think you can, because it's really another word for concentrating. That's all. But can you be successfully treated? For the most part, with a behavioral change issue, yes. But not everyone every time.
Thank you, Paul. Okay. So with that, tonight, we're opening applications for Mindvalley certified hypnotherapists from the McKenna Mindvalley School of Hypnotherapy that Paul and I founded. And I'm going to walk you through exactly how the certification works, The timeline, the cost, the pricing, the academic curriculum hours, what you get at the end, how we help you start your hypnotherapy practice, and so on. Okay. Now, firstly, I want you to know that we've been doing this for about 3 years, and you can see on our website, stories.mindvalley.com. And I'm gonna ask my team to paste this link in the chat. You can see there are over 849 student stories. These are— these 849 people are graduates of the program over the last 3 years, and these were graduates who submitted a case study because of how much this program not only changed their lives but how it changed their business. It opened up a new passive income stream. It helped them— it helped them gain fulfillment because they developed a skill that they could genuinely use to help other people. And you can see, you know, a lot of the people who signed up, they were executives, CEOs, founders. Some of them switched and became practicing hypnotherapists. Some of them did it part-time. Some of them supplemented this with their coaching practice. But again, you can see all ages, so many different countries. I think our students come from about 80, 80 different countries. Okay? And you can browse through all of these. The reason why you see it's predominantly women is because Mindvalley's audience is about 65% women, but it doesn't matter whether you're male or female. It is, and it doesn't matter what your current professional career is, as long as you feel that this is a field that you want to step into. Okay, so I want to go through some of the stories because our students answered the questions in the best way. Now, some of you are thinking, okay, I don't know if I can do this. Is this really going to change my life? Now check out what, what Leanne Hamdi said. She basically believed, in her words, initially that hypnotherapy was a fraud. Today she uses it with her clients. Now check this out. This is Leandra Jones in Austin. She thought it was weird and it only worked on weak-minded people. Day 1 of this program changed her mind. Now, what I want to show you is this quick video. We were doing a seminar in Amsterdam for Mindvalley Certified Coaches, and these are graduates of the program who are in the audience, and we invited them on stage and listened to their stories. Paul, can you hear?
I can hear. Yeah. Started last year. I've had now about 2 a month. All of them have been treated None of them came back with any issues.
I'm Todd, and I have a client who would come in and she had all these serious confidence issues, and that kind of changed her life to now she's confident.
Have we lost the sound?
You realize how many decisions you just made? And she's like— I've been using it a lot in my martial arts. She had a trauma in the past, and ever since then, every single time when we do advanced techniques, we take it nice and slow. Every single time she says, you know, it hurts, and, you know, this, I can't do certain techniques. I did the 6-Step Reframe, and then I did anesthetic. And ever since then, she, with a little bit of exercise, a little bit of nutrition through Eric's program, she says, you know, my pain is gone. How did you do it? The thing I want to say about your training, it's changed me as a human being. The power of language is amazing. It's changed my entire life, and I feel so powerful in life now.
Amazing.
Thank you. Thank you.
Thank you.
So hope you guys saw that. Sorry about the sound issue. I— this— there's this thing on Zoom which is so annoying. It doesn't automatically share sound, but I'm glad you could hear it from my speakers. Okay, so, so you get an idea, and notice how enthusiastic everyone was. They were not talking about so much how they changed. They were talking about how they were able to create change in others. Okay? And this is why this program, when you go through this program, there are really 3 reasons people go through it. And the first one is to transform yourself. Because if you loved what you experienced with Paul, imagine that for 4 months, Paul working with you every week for 4 months, removing block after block after block, removing any barrier to your most extraordinary self. But the second reason people do it is to amplify an existing practice. I took this because I'm a father, I'm a company founder, I'm a speaker, and learning hypnotherapy helps me become better at all 3 of these things. It helps me understand how to protect the belief systems of my children. It helps me understand how to better understand my founder mind at work, my own limitations, remove them. It helps me be better on stage because I can take my audience through a transformation. That's door number 2, amplify your practice. But then there's door number 3, and many people take this because they want to create a new stream of passive income where they are able to basically take on clients. No matter which door you're going through, this is for you. Now I want you to put 1, 2, or 3 in the chat to give us an idea of which door interests you most about this program. Okay, so a lot of 3s. That's great. Actually, it's starting to look almost even. Okay, let's go door by door. Okay, so door number 1 is self-transformation. And wow, I'm seeing a lot of people put in 1. Door number 1 is about being able to transform yourself. And again, let's have our students share what this meant for them. So this is Jennifer Wonder. Hi, Vishen. An entrepreneur in Estonia, after years of struggling, four months. In four months, she went smoke-free, and in her words, she said that chapter is finally behind me. Notice she came through tonight's exact promise. She shifted a habit she was trying to kick for years. Then there's door two, the practitioner. So check out Fiona McKinnon. From Brighton. She found a way to bring in the techniques and positivity that Paul brings to his course into her coaching session so she could be better as a coach. There's Elizabeth Harris. She went through Door 2, and she used it as a parent to help her son with panic attacks. Then there's Door 3. Okay, now Door 3 is where, you know, there are so many incredible stories. That's the pilot. The pilot, he's one of our students and he now uses this to treat— he was a pilot trainer. He uses it to treat his students to overcome fear of flying. There is a police negotiator from Hungary called Kersta. After she took this course, Kersta was able to negotiate a 60% raise for her entire police squadron because she started to understand human psychology and could apply that to negotiation. And then there are many people who we call them the healers at home, and they work as therapists, as coaches, sometimes on Zoom, sometimes in person, and they are able to use this to create change in other people. All 3 of these opened up new career streams, new revenue, passive revenue opportunities for the clients. Let's look at a couple. Okay, so Carrie. So Carrie started her own hypnotherapy company days within finishing the program, developed a logo, bought her— bought and registered her business, her domain name. And what I want you to do is— so we already did this. I wanna share a couple of other stories. Now, some of you might be thinking, how serious is this? And I wanna share this story. So this is Jean-Pierre Cantine. He's a doctor, general practitioner in Aberdeen. Doctor since 1987. He was frustrated, in his own words, by patients coming in for pills but not engaging in their own well-being. So he joined this program, and he had a bit of a speech impediment, so he was really struggling. Now, he said his speech was irregular, it was not flowing, he was stopping between words. English wasn't even his mother tongue, and he really had doubts that he could do this. Then there was a particular Q&A with Paul, and something in his brain just clicked. A minute later in his— his— so we, we put people in what we call practice labs where you practice hypnotherapy with other students and you work on each other. He said when he went into his practice lab, all of a sudden he was speaking clearly, effortlessly. And now what he does is, even as a medical doctor, he's bringing hypnotherapy and bringing these concepts to his patients. So he doesn't just give them a pill. He helps them heal whatever is holding them back in their subconscious. Okay? And that's why we're so proud of this program. So the program is 16 weeks. It's 4 months. It is lightning fast in the grand scheme of things because of how precision Paul is at going to your subconscious and making those changes. And it's an accredited program by the IAPCP. You graduate with a recognized professional certification. The credential details are all on the page when you put in your application. Now look at what's in your hands by graduation: stress and anxiety relief. You're able to help people with confidence. You can treat compulsions. You can treat phobias, pain management. You can induce peak performance. You can help with weight loss and weight management, fix insomnia, mindset and belief reprogramming. self-image enhancement. It's a complete toolkit. Now, this is how it works, and this is the important one. The important one is that, as you're going to see later, the program is very affordable. The time commitment is what we care about. And because we're limited to 550 spots, and last year we had 670-something applications for those spots, the most important thing is you got to be able to make the time. The last thing we want is someone who applies in the program, pays, but then doesn't show up. Because this program also involves student work. You are put in pods with other students. And so we need people to be able to show up. We need commitment. And I can guarantee you, if you're committed, the change that you experience and the benefit that you get in your life and the ability you get to help other people, it is unbelievable. Now, the program requires 3 hours a week for for 4 months. Okay? 1 hour is prerecorded. You can listen to this while you're on a treadmill. You can, you know, this is like watching TV. It's on the Mindvalley app. You just play a video. The second hour is live with Paul. Paul goes deep with you. Paul works on you and you learn with Paul. This one you don't want to miss. Now, if you absolutely have to miss a session, You do get the recording, but if you can show up live, that's best. Now, the 3rd hour is also important. This is where you show up to practice hypnotherapy. It's where you're absolutely— you're already hypnotherapying, or hyp— what's the word called? Hypnotizing your fellow students.
Hypnotizing.
You're working your, uh, you're working with fellow students, and they are working on you. So when I did this, there was another student. I still haven't forgive— forgiven him. He made me reduce my chocolate intake. And I guess that was really good for my blood sugar. But, you know, but it's so fun because you actually see the power of this. So these are called coaching pods. Now, 3 hours a week for 4 months. That's how it works. Okay. The length of the program. Now, the program starts on the 26th of August. Application deadline is the 19th. Because, oh, it's— that's tomorrow. Okay. But the application takes 10 minutes. And that's because we actually announced this 2 weeks ago. You guys are in the final presentation. Okay. So I'm gonna go super deep in each of these. First one is the first hour, which is recorded, easy to follow weekly training, recorded, watch it on your iPhone, your iPad, on the Mindvalley app. Okay. Number 2, live with Paul. These are on Zoom. If you're busy, no worries, recording available. Number 3, the, the— this is super fun— coaching pods with actual students. Alright, so there you have it. That is the 3 hours a week starting August 26th. Now, this is the timing. The vast majority of our students are in the United States. 55% of our students are American. 45% are typically between Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. And so our timings are optimized for all the way from Los Angeles to Dubai. This means if you're further east than Dubai, meaning India or Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which is where I'm going to be, what happens is that you're doing the trainings at night. It could be 9, 10, 11 PM. So the trainings are 7 AM LA, 10 AM New York, 3 PM London, or 4 PM Amsterdam, 6 PM Dubai. Now the program runs once a year and it begins on the 26th of August. And this is what you learn. So month 1 is about foundations. Actually, Paul, I'm gonna ask you to very quickly, because we only have 12 minutes left, I wanna keep everyone on time. If you could quickly take us on month 1 to month 4 and explain what these How these work?
Okay, so to begin with, you'll learn the foundations of how to induce a trance in somebody and the power of language, how you, you know, use what we call hypnotic language to influence somebody, and also how you begin to interpret where somebody's at, the changes they want to make, so that you'll be able to read people not, you know, in a sort of the way a body language expert would be, but to read how it is that they're, they're forming things in their mind, how they're stopping themselves, holding themselves back, or creating a, you know, self-sabotage or something like that. Now the next part is behavioral change. So we interrupt the old patterns and we begin to install new ones. The 3rd month is really going into deeper states. So this is really powerful change. So you'll be learning the things that most hypnotherapists hypnotherapists treat people for: quitting smoking, losing weight, insomnia, anxiety, overcoming phobias, things like that. And also you're learning modern hypnotherapy. A lot of people are still teaching traditional hypnotherapy. There's nothing wrong with that, but it has its limitations and it treats very much the symptom rather than the cause. And you know, it's a kind of sit down, do as you're told, close your eyes, etc., whereas modern hypnotherapy involves subtle use of hypnotic language and also communication with the unconscious mind in quite a sophisticated way. And, and so as Vishen just explained, you watch an hour of a video of me doing various demonstrations, then join me live for a Q&A and coaching session, and then you go and practice with, with other people. This is the neat thing, because you're doing 16 weeks of hypnotherapy, there is no chance on this earth that you are not going to be different. And, you know, many people report massive boosts in their confidence, that they turn around unwanted behaviors, that suddenly they've got a set of tools that they can use not just to help other people but on themselves as well. So, uh, those are the sort of main benefits. And of course, the other thing is practice and business. Now the thing is that the average hypnotherapist makes about $100,000 a year, so it's actually— it's a good business to be in. In fact, a lot of the hypnotherapists I know earn 2, 3, 4 times that, right? But it's an emotionally rich business to be in as well, because the feeling of helping other people, particularly from things that have been holding them back, you know, is an amazing experience. And also, as part of the the business side of it. Ajit Nawalkha, a brilliant business coach, will be showing you how to kickstart and get your hypnotherapy business going. If you're a coach already or you're already a healthcare professional, this is an additional set of tools that will be able to not only enhance what it is you do with your clients, but of course when you get a greater reputation, you begin charging more. This is what we hear from people a lot.
Yeah. So, so one of the things is that we don't just teach you hypnotherapy, then let you hang. We teach you how to become a practicing hypnotherapist, how to charge clients, bill clients, build a reputation, market your business, start your business, grow your business, scale your business. That's all included here. Okay? Because we want you to be successful. There is no point creating hypnotherapists who are not successful. Your word of mouth is important to us. Okay, so how do you get started? Apply to the program. There's an application review. It's a $200 application, and we want you to win, so we got you covered with these bonuses. Okay, now these are certain bonuses that we add on to the program so that we can help you remove any barriers to going through it. We can help you get started as a hypnotherapist fast. We can help you win. Now, the entire program is $4,999. If you're a Mindvalley member, you get $500 credit back. So whatever you pay for your Mindvalley membership, you get that back. So it's $4,499 if you're a Mindvalley member. Now let me show you— there's a payment plan. We'll talk about that later. Let me show you what the bonuses look like. Okay? So the first one is accreditation and proof. And here you can see that you get an actual accreditation. This is by the IAPCP. So you are officially licensed. Now the second bonus is community. Community is very important because when you are together in community with other people who have gone through this program, you find allies. Maybe you share a social media marketing strategy. Maybe there was a, a situation with a client that you were able to resolve. The wisdom shared within the context of the community makes everyone better. So you become part of a truly supportive community. That community actually comes together in a real-world meeting every summer at Mindvalley University. Next summer, it's happening in Portugal. So hundreds of our hypnotherapists will be gathering there, and you'll actually get to meet many of your classmates. That's an actual picture from last year when they all came together. Now bonus number 3 is advanced coach training. So we give you membership to Evercoach. Evercoach is a company we acquired, and Evercoach uh, trains coaches how to build and market their coaching business. So you get all of these trainings. There's a lot of valuable advice here that is available for you. Now, Bonus 4 is we want to go deeper. When we first launched this program, one of many of our clients asked, all right, I love what I've learned, but how can I start turning this into a passive income stream? How can I start getting clients, marketing myself, building my business? So we created a course for you called Start Your Coaching Business. You get this free. It's by Ajit Nawalkha. So Ajit is the founder of Mindvalley Coach, and he has trained 30,000 coaches. He's one of the best coach trainers in the world and one of the highest-rated trainers in all of Mindvalley. He is a brilliant chap. Now, bonus 5. So the first one is starting your business. Bonus 5 is marketing your coaching business. And this is where you learn how to take the business that you've started and scale it to go from 1 client to 5 to 10 to 50. Okay, so the complete program looks like this. If you add the value of all the bonuses, this is easily $12,990 because you're getting significant training in marketing, in establishing yourself as a coach, and so on. The full investment is $4,999. And you get a discount if you're a Mindvalley member. Now, I want to show you what this investment means to many people. This is Martin Gerbers, and Martin's the CFO who became a coach. He was one of our first students who took this program when we launched it in 2022. I met Martin. He came back to Mindvalley U in 2023. And this is the interesting thing he said. In 7 months since finishing Mindvalley Certified Coach. He had made as much as the prior 12 months of work. So he did 12 months of business revenue in 7 months. Why? Because as a coach, he was no longer just offering regular coaching. He could add on hypnotherapy and increase his coaching rates. This was such a beautiful story from Martin. So the question is, what if you could make your investment back while still in the program? Okay. What if you can have a client experience change in a single session? An entry-level hypnotherapist easily could charge $100. And but often what you learn as a coach is to sign up 10 clients for a package, right? So rather than sign up 1 client for $100, what happens is you sign up that 1 client for a 10-coach practice. That's approximately $1,000. 10 of these clients is $10,000. And that's how many of our hypnotherapists work. That's how they They create revenue. So in 2026, we have space for 550 students. We have 356 applications in right now that we're going through, and we look forward to getting your application. Now, why do we cap it at 550? Coaching pods are limited at 5 to 7, and also live means live. It means that Paul is there teaching you, answering your questions. We want to make sure that we give you the attention you deserve. The reason we have so many case studies is because we really truly go deep with every student. We want to be there for you, and we want to make this exclusive. We do not want thousands of students certified. Then it just kind of degrades the reputation of the program. We want a few students, no more than 550 a year, because these students carry the Mindvalley brand name. and Paul McKenna's my brand name. And we wanna make sure that you are an exclusive experience for clients. Okay, so the application works like this. It's Wednesday, 19th of August, 11:59 PM LA time. So you have about 2 days and we give you a guarantee. It's called the Say Maybe Guarantee. And this is why we say maybe. You put in an application for $200. If you— if for any reason we cannot accept you, you get your $200 back. If we do accept you, then we bill you the balance, which is $4,799. If you're a Mindvalley member, $4,299 because you've already put in $200. And anytime in the first 2 weeks from the date the program starts, which is August 26th, if you feel this isn't right for you, you get your full money back. So you can actually go to the program, 6 hours of training, And anytime in that first 2 weeks, you can just shoot an email and you can ask for your money back. And you get it, no questions asked, no explanation. Okay? And the reason we do this is because we want you to be able to test the waters. We want you to be able to see that this is right for you. So we call this the Say Maybe Guarantee. You do not have to say yes today. You only have to say maybe. This means you're deciding around September 10th. 2 weeks with the experience in your hand. You feel it, you experience it, and then you're deciding. Now check out this, okay? So Ruth Pucci, so, is a coronary care nurse. Her words were this: she was excited, but she was a bit skeptical that she could learn hypnotherapy in like 4 months. And when she went through the program, she realized, oh my God, this really works. And she took that 15 days to go from skeptical to believer. Because she decided to give it a stab even though she had her doubts. And that's perfectly okay. That's why we have to say maybe guarantee. Okay? So secure your spot. It's $4,999. It's $200 to get started. Mindvalley members get $500 off. And I wanna share with you just a couple of student stories before we wrap up. Thaddeus. So a lot of people, you know, wonder how effective is this program. Listen to what Thaddeus said. He said, If you're comparing us to a $10,000 certification, don't take it from me. Okay? So Thaddeus spent eight years in hypnotherapy, bought other trainings, and in his words, "I learned more useful information in the first four weeks than all of my previous trainings." So application process: deposit two hundred, receive your application form via email, complete the form, and we'll get back to you. In a matter of days, that's the QR code. Go ahead and enroll. Cannot wait to see you in the program. So thank you, everyone. We wrap up the webinar over here. Grab that QR code and go ahead, and hopefully I'll see you in the program. We were really excited about our batch this year: 550 students working extremely closely with Paul and becoming Mindvalley McKenna Certified Hypnotherapist. Paul, thank you so much. It was. Lovely to have you as usual.
Thank you, Vishen. Thank you so much. And thank you for attending. Be safe, be well, be lucky. God bless you.
Thank you. Take care, guys. I'm going to leave this QR code up for those of you who want to follow through. Thank you.
