My home is jam packed this time of year with two things. Number one, Christmas decorations, excessive Christmas decorations. But the second thing is this. Hundreds of books I never got a chance to read. Everywhere in my apartment are books, books, books. Now, I only get to read about 10% of the books that people gift me or that I buy. But I have a method of organizing my information in books so that I get the best results from everything I read. Now I want to give you a clue of what this method looks like. Whenever I consume knowledge from books or from mindvalley programs, or from a documentary or from a conference or an event, I slot that knowledge into one of three buckets. Number one, does this knowledge help give me a new vision of a type of life that I want? For example, books on fitness might inspire you to want to strive for an incredible athletic body. That's a vision. The second thing is strategies. Can the book give me powerful strategies that I can apply in my life to get to that vision? One example here again looking at fitness might be exercise protocols, intermittent fasting. Might even be a book like Atomic Habits which is on habit creation. And the third one has to do with beliefs. Does this book shatter outdated beliefs that I have that might be holding me back? Outdated beliefs in spirituality, in fitness, in my intellectual life, in relationships, in love, in parenting. That's a really important thing. Now most people, as you read books, the information stays in the book. You might remember just a tad bit. Studies show that 24 hours after reading a book, we only recall 80% of what we learned. But what if you had a process where every time you finished a book, it went into to a system? A system that helped you transform your vision, craft new strategies, examine your beliefs. Now we don't just stop there. There's a fourth thing that you want to distill from your book and that is your reason why. Why do you want that healthy body? Why do you want to be a parent? Why do you want to build that business? Why do you want to be a social media superstar? Knowing your why gives you the fuel to move you towards the vision to put the strategies in practice to remove beliefs holding you back. These four things are supremely important. But how do you get organized? That's where this methodology comes in. And this methodology is Lifebook. Lifebook is probably one of the most powerful personal growth programs I've ever taken. I took it over a decade ago and it completely transformed my life. Today, Lifebook is a mindvalley company. And this methodology helps you take all the knowledge you're Learning from all of the books that come into your life, every conference, every event, and using a concept called laser learning helps you bring it into your life. This is how it works. All the books sitting by your bedside table. How do you know which book you need to begin with? It shouldn't be random. You don't pick up a book based on the COVID You pick up a book by understanding what part of your life is most out of whack and seeking to solve that aspect of your life first. For some people, it might be help. For others, it might be your relationships. For others, it might be that you're broke. Lifebook starts with an assessment. You can take a Lifebook assessment. It takes 22 minutes, and we made it completely free. That gives you a report on what aspect of your life is out of whack. We look at 12 different categories of life. Many people are focused on just one or two categories. They care about maybe fitness, and they care about happiness, which is an emotional state. But they might be falling behind in money, falling behind in career progression, falling behind in love. Others might have the most amazing love life, that you might be broke. So you need to look at your life from these 12 different categories. And in each of these categories, understand your vision, your strategy, beliefs, and your reason why.
