Vishen Lakhiani uses a staged coffee-spill anecdote as a metaphor for how people carry negative emotions (worry, fear, anxiety, jealousy) that can ‘spill out’ when triggered. He references Tal Ben Shahar on emotional mastery and promotes a Mindvalley masterclass with Jennifer Partridge teaching Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping) as a method to remove negative emotions and maintain daily bliss.

Behind the scenes at a mind bound shoot with the one and only. It's okay. I have a couple of extra shirts. Just hold this. Hold this for a second. The mic is good. So what I wanted to talk about today is coffee. The cup contained coffee, which obviously just spilled on me. That was a total setup. Right? You can see that. We would just re plan that. But the point I'm trying to make is that if that cup contained tea, it would have been tea that spilled on me. There's an important metaphor here. I was speaking to the famous Harvard professor Talben Shahar. We were talking about emotions. Tal Ben Shahar was talking about how one of the five most important skills we have to teach people is mastery over their emotions. So often we are carrying within us negative emotions. Worry, stress, fear, anxiety, jealousy. And when something happens and we bump into something by accident, that bump could be someone literally bumping into you. It could be maybe someone not recognizing you. It could be your computer crashing, losing an important project you were working on because your cup was filled with negative emotion. These emotions spill out. The trick is, is to ensure that we are not carrying this cup that is full of negativity. Instead, we have learned how to slowly remove negative emotions from our being. We don't carry these emotions in our energy field. We don't carry these emotions in our body. And this is why this week we're going to be talking about emotional mastery in mindvalley. We're going to talk about how to master your emotions so that every single day when you wake up, you wake up in a state of bliss. The worries, the fears from the past are no longer with you. And if something does happen where someone accidentally bumps into you, it's all cool. There's no issue. So if you find the topic of emotional mastery fascinating, join us for our masterclass this week with the one and only Jennifer Partridge. Oh, sorry. Sorry, man. Sorry. Join us this week with the one and only Jennifer Partridge, where we're going to be talking about emotional freedom technique, a concept called tapping that has now been scientifically proven, as strange as it looks, scientifically proven to help you regain mastery over your emotions. I'll see you there.
