Vishen Lakhiani says modern yoga has become exclusive, marketed to young and wealthy people, when it's actually a practice for everyone. He's building a platform to make yoga accessible worldwide, whether you want short sessions, fitness, mental peace, or postpartum strength.

Close your eyes and picture a person doing yoga today. Few of you will be thinking of the old yogi standing in a tree pose atop a mountain, looking like he's about to dish out some incredible wisdom. Most of you will imagine a young, flexible and fit woman who seems like she spends at least one or two hours a day on the mat. Not that there's anything wrong with that. That woman is celebrating her practice how she chooses to. But how about the woman who only has 15 minutes to keep fit? Or the man who wants peace of mind? Or the woman looking to get to know her body all over again? Or the mother who wants to remain strong for her child? The guy who's looking for a new way to keep fit. After all, isn't yoga for everyone? No matter where you are in life or what you're seeking for your body, your mind and your soul, today yoga is accessible to and practiced by millions. But somewhere along the line, as yoga gained worldwide momentum, it has also somewhat become misrepresented. It also forms societal pressures for people to look a certain way, a certain way, speak a certain way, be of a certain age. People only pictured that ideal yogi that we visualized earlier. As a result, it was no longer seen as a practice that embodied the body, the mind, and the spirit for everyone. It created a culture of exclusion. As fitness enthusiasts and celebrities worldwide shared their practices, many people started seeing yoga as a pursuit for only the right people. Am I flexible enough? Am I young enough? Am I fit enough? Must I pass a series of difficult poses? Will I have to give up the food I love to eat? What if I don't have time? Is it expensive? Must I join a proper studio? So here's the truth. True yoga is about how you feel about yourself. Your spirit, your mind, your body. No matter who, where, when, and what you are in your life. It's your personal journey towards the goals you want to achieve. And your. Your journey is how you choose to define it for you. No one gets to pressure you on what to give up or how much to take in. The most important thing is that you keep going back to your mat on your own practice, in your own time. And we're excited to launch a platform to help bring yoga to everyone.
