A short transcript excerpt from a YouTube conversation led by Vishen Lakhiani about business strategy and scaling passion into profitable systems. Key claims: sales work by creating 'tension' and by 'incepting' desire (letting clients believe buying was their idea); creators often need better systems to reach many more people and should go where their brand is best received.
This is not about selling and convincing. This is about incepting.
The reason people buy anything at all is one word, tension. How would you encourage people to start jobbing their love?
Success is doing what you love and making money out of it. I think it's as simple as it gets.
So this is the classic problem that so many of you have with your business. You are passionate about the book, the product, the coaching. But you forget if you follow the right tactic, you could be reaching 100 times as many people. So if you say systems don't work, you do not have the right systems.
The lesson here is that your brand will not always translate everywhere and that's the reality. Go where you're treated best and sometimes that's not where you currently are.
This is not about selling and convincing. This is about incepting. This is about allowing your client to realize that they want to buy your product or service and believe it was their own idea because you allowed it to be their own idea.
