The problem is this. Many of our resolutions are goals that we are never going to hit. So don't set resolutions for the New Year, rather script identities.
Vision is on a mission to help others turn their New Year resolutions into lifelong practices.
I'm not someone who says be positive or embrace happiness. A lot of people think, I gotta be happy, I gotta be positive. But actually that's an illusion. You do not have to be happy.
Instead, Vision wants you to embrace yourself with these intentional three qualities he lives by.
The first one is the quality of compassion. Compassion is not something you do for other people. Expanding the levels of your compassion make you feel deeply connected to all life and to yourself. The second exercise is simply gratitude. Science shows that if you can just spend one or two minutes a day expressing gratitude, after 30 days, your happiness levels actually go up 25%. We simply do better now. The third exercise is a little bit trickier, and it's forgiveness. The more you practice letting go, the more you develop a sense of inner peace.
And don't we all want that? Here's to a better year and a better you.
