We will often encounter friends, family that's losing hope. They feel hopeless. This often happens after multiple disappointments, where they focus solely on what hasn't worked out. It's like staring at a dark cloud without realizing there's a whole sky above it. If there is someone like that in your life, you can help first, help them change their state. Start by asking, what are some of the things that have gone right in your life? Help them recognize their small victories. Encourage them to reflect on what they're grateful for, not just the past few days, but over the last four or five years. This shift in perspective can introduce a sense of positivity and hope. We all make progress over a longer period of time and we forget it when we are looking at our smaller setbacks. The second step would be to set small, achievable goals. Instead of overwhelming them with big dreams, guide them to set small, achievable goals. For instance, what's the one thing you can accomplish in the next week? This helps with trust in themselves. Again, it's not about having small dreams. It's realizing that big dreams need small steps and you have to take small steps if you eventually want to get to big dreams. The power to help is in your hands if this speaks to you. If you want to learn more models of how you can help somebody else, I invite you to a webinar that we are putting together at mindvalley.
