Vishen Lakhiani explains the importance of intuition for choosing life goals, contrasting 'mature wanting' (soul-driven desires) with 'immature wanting' (socially or advertising-driven). He cites Michael Beckwith's distinction, gives fatherhood as a personal example of a mature want, and recommends formal training (the Silver program) to accelerate access to intuition and avoid wasting time on misaligned goals.

Why is intuition important? Michael Beckwith says, when it comes to desire, there are two different types of desire. There's mature wanting and immature wanting. Immature wanting is wanting that is put in your mind through advertising, through wanting to keep up with the neighbors, through the fancy clothes. You see someone else where you want to spend money. Nothing wrong with that. But mature wanting is wanting that's coming from the soul. I had a mature wanting at a certain point that I wanted to. To become a father. And I think that was probably one of the most fulfilling things in my life, even though it was scary at first. So mature want, things that just kind of come from the soul, they tend to be the things which are right for you. It's your soul saying, move in this direction. Now to accelerate intuition again, you want to go through the full training, do the Silver program. But when you can tap into intuition, you're more likely to pick the right goals rather than go in the wrong direction and waste a lot of time chasing something that you were never meant to have.
