On mindvalley's collaboration with Speaking Academy to bring the Speaking Academy event right out to all of you in well across the world. But it's going to be happening in Miami. And so what we're going to do in this webinar is as follows. I'm going to bring up on stage, Eric at mes, the brilliant mind behind many of the leading programs on mindvalley, from Wild Fit to the Stage Effect. And Eric is first going to take you on a beautiful presentation on how to be a speaker. We don't want to before we even present our academy and the the event that's coming up in Miami. We just want to deliver value. Okay, so the first 45 minutes, you're going to get a free class on communication and public speaking. And if you don't know Eric at midis, he is a master teacher. This man is one of the best. So, first 45 minutes, that's what we're going to do. And then for the second half of this event, we are going to show you the event that's happening in Miami. We're going to go through the agenda. We have around 25 or so seats available. We'll talk about the pricing, how it works, and you can decide if you want to attend. Okay, Eric, welcome.
Hey, Vishen, good to see you. Glad to be here.
So, Eric, before I give you the mic to do your presentation, I just wanted to share a really interesting slide with the audience here to. So what you're seeing is a list of the top programs on MindValley. If you open up the MindValley app, you will see that these are the 12 programs that currently lead on MindValley. They're the most popular programs and these programs have pretty much been the most popular programs for the last one year or so. You know, popularity tends to beget itself. The top program, which is my program, Silver ultramind, it's constantly at number one. And then people see it's at number one, so they watch it. So it continues staying at number one. Second program notice is Wildfit by Ericad Media. That's testament to Eric's incredible knowledge as a teacher. And then you have Duality by Jeffrey Allen. Art of Manifesting by Reagan Hillier. But that's not what's really important about the slide. What's really important about this slide is this mindvalley started out with a promise. We wanted to find the world's best teachers and create the most cutting edge courses with them. And so we signed teachers like Neale Donald Walsh who were sold 15 million books. We signed teachers like Robin Sharma. We signed all of these amazing teachers. We bought the rights to Lifebook to the Silver ultramind system. All of these legendary programs stay on our platform. But then we realized something. There are many great educators out there who don't have a New York Times bestseller, who haven't yet been on Oprah, but they are amazingly talented. So we created an open stage called the community Stage. And, and every year hundreds of people apply to speak on our community stage. And we choose a few people to put on stage and interesting things started happening. These are some of the people that ended up on our community stage. This guy from Ibiza, Niraj Naik. This lady with a British accent, Marissa Pierre. This woman, Regan Hillier. And what we found was something really interesting. Out of our 12 top programs, five of the 12 are made up of teachers that we discovered not from the New York Times bestsellers list, but from our community. From the thousands of people on this call. Neeraj Naik, Breathwork for life. Number one breathwork teacher in the world. He spoke on the community stage at Mindvalley University. Got a standing ovation. Rapid transformational hypnotherapy with Marisa Peer. She was put on that stage in 2015 in a fest. And the funny thing is this. I got to know her because she would accompany her husband to our event, a fest, which is a transformation festival. But she would never attend. She'd just stay in her room doing one on one, coaching her husband. One day bumped into me in the lobby and said, hey, you know, my wife does all of this amazing stuff. What will it take to get her on stage next year? And I said, sure, she can apply. She applied, we put her on stage. She was voted best speaker. We signed her today. Marissa Peer is one of the legends of wellness amplify with AI man and Dave Vikintask Laudenis. They were community members. They were actually working on AI projects within Mindvalley out of Manifesting Reagan Hillier. She came multiple times to Mindvalley University, volunteered, ended up on the community stage, got a standing ovation. We signed her. It took five years. It didn't happen overnight. She came back three times before we signed her. Jeffrey Allen, Duality. Duality is one of the highest rated programs in Mindvalley right now. Jeffrey lives in Japan. He showed up at an event by Mindvalley in Thailand in 2014. We signed him. Now, why do I share these stories with you? All of these people gave one speech, One speech. And that one speech was so good, it changed the trajectory of their lives. One speech. Now, I did the math. Each of these people, I want you to guess how much they earn in royalty every single day on average. Because they are now on Mindvalley. The number is $1,300 a day. They decide not to work that day, they get $1,300. You can multiply that by a year to calculate $1,300 in royalty every day. That's almost 10,000 every week for five, 10 years while their programs are active on Mindvalley. Such is the power of giving one good speech. So if you have a chance to learn speaking, you want to jump on it. But it doesn't just stop there, guys. So anyone here heard of Alex Hormozi? He's like the number one marketer in the world today. I was just talking to Alex Amoe. Not talking to him. Sorry. I saw a video by him and he was talking. Alex Amozi was talking about a conversation he had with Mr.
Beast.
Okay. And what's happening in the world today is that people are really valuing events and live interaction. That's why we decided to do this class live with you. We're real. I'm right here. This is not an AI clone. So Mr. Beast was telling Hormozi this fascinating story. They were attending this, this big VIP gala, and there were all of these VIPs that were ushering in, and Mr. Beast was observing who the audience clapped for. So the first group that came in, they were actors, Hollywood A list celebrities, you know, like Gwyneth Paltrow. Good applause. Second group got even more applause. You know what that second group were? They were the TikTok and Instagram. Real star, short form content, bigger applause than A listers. But then the third group, the third group were the people who get on YouTube and run podcasts, right? The podcasters like Stephen Bartlett, the YouTube educators like Daniel Priestley, who's on Mindvalley, even bigger. But the group that got the biggest applause were people who were live, streaming or teaching live. Because there's something about being live on stage or live in front of a camera on YouTube right now. The world wants that. We are sick of AI fakery. We want real human beings looking at you on a camera, speaking live in real time. The world is hungry for that. Those people got bigger applause than the Hollywood A list is. Now imagine if you had that skill, if you could get on a stage and connect with people. If you could teach live on YouTube today. If I'm in any big city in the world, I Get stopped one time per hour. That's the right amount of fame, right? I like that. If it was more than once an hour, maybe, you know, it's too much. But once an hour, I have a nice conversation with the people. And what happened is they saw me speak live. I don't really do a podcast anymore, but they saw me speak live on an event like this or on the mindvalley Summit because I now I can do that because I learned to communicate. I learned to speak. I learned from incredible teachers. One of them is this man in front of you today, Eric, at mes. So if you've never dreamed about being able to own the stage, to communicate the thoughts in your mind, to completely transform how you show up in the world, this is something for you. This is something you want to seriously consider. And with that, I leave you with Eric.
Thank you very, very much, Vishen. And just to continue that story, I too was really, in a very sense, elevated out of community. I came to speak at one a fest event, and just like Vishen said, I did one talk. And that one talk resonated so well with the community and resonated so well with Vishen that it led to another talk. And then it led to Wildfit and it led to several other quests on the platform. One of my biggest messages for all of you is that you are only ever one well constructed talk away from breakthroughs that you at this point, can't even imagine. And as an example of that, many of you will know Simon Sinek. But the reason you know Simon Sinek is because he did one talk, a TEDx talk that completely changed his life, launched New York Times bestsellers and so on. Brenny Brown had given many, many, many talks, but suddenly she delivered one talk with some vulnerability in it, which ironically was the topic she was studying. And then by doing that one talk with some actual vulnerability and authenticity in it, it went nuclear. It got millions and millions of views. She was initially uncomfortable with that if you go watch her documentary on Netflix, but oh, wait, she has a documentary on Netflix because of that one talk. Even Barack Obama, irrespective of your politics, says that it was one talk he did when he was in the state legislature that actually put him in the White House, one talk that set him on that direction. So, everybody, I right now have the opportunity to maybe change the trajectory of your life. And I mean that in a quite literal sense. These days, there are many different ways for you to, say, accelerate your attraction or to build your business or to scale your Dream. There's many different ways to do it. But what I'm finding or what I'm seeing is that there's a lot of struggle out there and a lot of people throwing spaghetti at the wall trying to find different mechanisms that stick. And so I want to share something with you. A guaranteed way to make more money in corporate America is to wear bigger heels. In corporate America, every inch taller you are literally translates to more money. Like, literally, statistically across the work body. But what I want you to say, what I want you to know about that is that it's infinitesimally small next to how much more attraction you create when you become a great communicator. You see, you can go after, you can find out, oh, I can scale by doing this, and I can scale by learning this Internet marketing. But literally every single mechanism you will ever use to create more attraction in your life will be amplified by becoming a comfortable and confident speaker. So that's what we're here about. Are you guys excited about that? In fact, here's what I'd like to know. What I'd like to know is what? Where are you right now? Where are you right now in terms of how confident and comfortable you feel as a speaker? 10, you're happy to take the stage anytime, any place, you'll follow anyone you're ready to go, and then zero. Geez, I really wish I could. I'd like to know where you are on the scale right now. And then I want to say something a little cheeky. If your number is. I saw some tens in there. I want to say this. If I see sevens, eights, nines, and tens on a workshop like this, what I want to suggest is it might not be that it should be a 10, because you can have all the confidence in the world, but there may be some. Well, there may be some things missing that you go out there with your 10 and there's some skills missing. So if you're a 10, I hope you really are a 10. But what I'm hoping is over the next little time that we spend together, that I will help you add a number or two to that and actually set you on a different trajectory. So let's begin. Let's start with this. How many of you have ever been to a conference where half of the speakers or more were mind numbingly boring? Who's been to that conference? In fact, who's been to more conferences that are like that than any other kind? Right? You've all been to that conference. Because frankly, that's Most conferences. Now, the reason I want you to really understand that is that I want you to think about that in terms of how good do you really have to be to differentiate yourself against mind numbingly boring? Right? I mean, you can basically go with this, with. With the standard of don't suck, and you'll be better than 90% of the people that are at those conferences. But if you're willing to go another step further, if you're willing to take it seriously, if you're willing to unleash yourself, if you're willing to become a truly authentic presenter, if you're willing to learn great storytelling technique, if you're willing to bear your soul, you're willing to share your best, then you don't just simply differentiate yourself above the boring. What you can do is make yourself unforgettable. I really mean that. And this is how I measure it. There's many ways I can measure it by the lives that I've had the privilege to transform. I can measure it by, you know, the people that offer great opportunities or stop me on the street. I can measure it in all those different ways. But the one way that I really measure it is when people walk up to me and they say, hey, Eric, I'm so glad to meet you finally in person. I saw you speak at an event last year, two years ago, five years ago, and I remember you told a story. And then they start telling me my own story back. Think about that for a minute. They start telling me my own story back. What does that mean? It means they remembered. If you want to create genuine transformation, genuine attraction, if you want to change people's behavior, if you want to attract them into your sphere of influence, either because you want to raise money or you want to sell them something, or you want to get them to vote a certain way, or you want to get them to reduce their impact on the environment, whatever it is that you want to stimulate in them in terms of change, if you can be unforgettable, you're there. You're going to make it happen. And so that's what today is about. So let's start with something really important for you to really, really understand your job as a presenter, as a speaker, as an influencer, whether you're in front of an audience or in front of a camera, your job is to help people to feel, to make people feel. And what I mean is that most people are living their lives in kind of like a general boredom zone. They're driving their car in the boredom zone. They're sitting at the gate of the plane, in the boredom zone. They're even sitting in front of Netflix in the boredom zone. I can prove that to you. I wonder how many of you are willing to admit that occasionally you've been sitting, watching Netflix and you're also on your phone. I'm just curious if any of you. Anyone, Anyone, Anyone. Okay. Because what that means is that Netflix wasn't even engaging enough, so you still had to go look for some distraction. So in a sense, everybody's always looking for emotional flicks. They're looking for ups and downs. They want an emotional experience. You know, you go to a movie, for example, you don't go to the movie to, to, to, to just kill two hours. You go to the movie to feel something. You want to feel inspiration, you want to feel emotions. And so that's a very key thing for you to understand. As a presenter, as an influencer, as a speaker of any kind, your job is to help them to feel something. And here's a clue, in fact, write this down. For the audience to feel anything, you have to feel it first. Yeah. How many of you have seen a presenter that is clearly not feeling anything? They're just up there clicking through their slides, running through their lines. Anybody seen that presenter? Don't name anybody. I don't want to see any names. But I know you've seen that. But at the same time, how many of you have seen a presenter occasionally, maybe rarely, where they really bared their soul, where you got a glimpse into their genuine journey, where you were able to feel what they were feeling, that is going to change everything. So that's step one to understand that when you feel they feel, and that's really important, it means you want to be able to associate to your stories. So then let's move to the second point about this. What percentage, tell me in the chat, what percentage of an hour long presentation should be storytelling and what percentage should be, say, valuable information and lecturing? What do you guys think? What should the split be? What do you think the split should be? I see 50%, 70%, 80, 20. Let's see here. Okay, yeah, there's some good numbers. There's some really good numbers. And by the way, there's no fixed answer to this. It depends a lot on the audience, and it depends a lot on your delivery style. Depends a lot on the content. But again, I'll put to you, how many of you have been to the conference where you've seen somebody go on stage and tell not a single story, and to this day, you don't even remember what they were speaking about. Yeah, a lot. It happens frequently. And so what we want to do is recognize that the human mind evolved for the receiving and delivering of stories. Think about this. Most of human intelligence and history was passed on in the form of storytelling long before any writing even developed. Like, think about that. Writing is a pretty new thing. I know, I know. For us it's like ancient Sumeria and ancient, you know, ancient. That's not ancient. That's like. That's a blink of an eye in evolutionary terms. The vast majority of our history was passed along in storytelling and in fairy tales and in emotion. And so our brains really like that. And I'm going to give you an example. I'm going to give you an example. Now I want the honest truth, everybody. I want the honest truth here. The truth. You're on a plane and auction masks drop out of the ceiling and you're there with your young children. Think if you have young children or if you once had young children, or if you've got young relatives, you're there with your young children. Honestly, how many of you have heard the announcement? You know, put your own oxygen mask on. But how many of you, if you really think about it, you probably would help your kids first. I mean, come on, it's your kids. Who's going to do that? Who's going to go and help the kids first? There you go. I knew it. I knew it. And I can tell you right now that there's an overly high representation of those yeses and me's that are moms. Because moms are even more inclined to put their kids first. Right? There really are. So now I want to share something with you. This is a true story. I mean, it is literally something that happened to me. I was on a plane. I was on a plane with Kirsty. My wife and I was on a plane with Kirsty and one of our daughters, one of our middle daughters. And as we're flying, we're about an hour off the coast, an hour off the coast of Ireland, and suddenly the captain comes on and he makes an announcement. And this is the announcement he made. Word for word. This is what he said. I have no idea what he said. He was shouting so loudly that we couldn't hear anything. Plus there's this beeping alarm that we've never heard before. How many of you like new sounds when you're on the plane? Anybody here like new sounds? I like. I don't like new sounds. I want all the old sounds. I Just, no, this was a new sound, this awful alarm. The captain screaming and the cabin crew running full speed down the plane. Then the plane goes into a dive to straight at the planet. I'm telling you, the oxygen masks dropped from the ceiling and it was over for us. I looked around the cabin. The girls were sitting about four rows behind me. There's no way I could get back to them. When the plane is diving like that, there's no gravity. You're not taking off your seatbelt. And I looked around the cabin, and what I saw was a variety of emotional responses. I saw catatonia. People couldn't say a word. I saw people screaming, people crying, people praying. But in front of me, I saw something that changed my perspective permanently. And this is what I saw. There was a family. A mother and a father and two young kids, 4 and 6ish. And they were sitting three seats in the one section and the one parent over on the other aisle. The mom was over there. As soon as the auction mask dropped, the father selfishly grabbed the mask, put it on his face, cinched it on. And then he turned to help his children. And then as he went to help his children and he started putting the masks on them, the kids started fighting. They started fighting. They didn't want this mask on their face. They started fighting and trying to get the mask off their faces. And so now I want to ask you, what do you think would have happened if he hadn't put his own mask on first? And so now let me ask you, how many of you now know with certainty that if you were flying with your kids, an oxygen mask dropped from the ceiling, that you would absolutely put your own mask on first? That your answer before is no longer valid? Who is going to put their own mask on first so that they can take care of their kids? And so what you guys have just demonstrated is that I have changed your behavior. I have changed your behavior, and I've changed it by creating a memory for you. Some of you now have a memory of being on a plane when the auction mask dropped. And by the way, just in case some of you are hung up waiting for the end of that story, they leveled off the plane at about 10,000ft. And eventually they flew us to Dusseldorf and we all landed safely. But the reason I want you to hear that story is that it is behavior changing. You will now put your own mask on first. How many of you would like to be able to change the behaviors of your clients? How many of you would like to be able to change the behaviors of your children? How many of you would like to be able to change the behavior of your investors? When you become compelling at storytelling, you create emotional response in people and then you have a genuine opportunity at transformation, a genuine opportunity at behavioral change. And so that is really the power of storytelling. So how about now we go into the power of storytelling because I know some of you think that you're really good storytellers already, and you probably are, and some of you don't think that you're very good story. In fact, I want to know who's a great storyteller and who you just. You're probably not a great storyteller. Tell me in the chat. I think I'm great. I think I'm not. You see the variety of the spectrum. I'm great. I suck, like literally from I great to I suck all through the line and everything in the middle. And so I'm going to share something with you before I share with you how to become a masterful storyteller. And I'm going to share it with you so that you really understand one of the most important things about speaking. I can't speak Estonian. I just can't do it. In fact, somebody asks me if I can learn Estonian, I tell them my osca, because that's like the only Estonian word I know, and it means I can't, basically. Now, here's the thing. When I think about trying to learn Estonian or any other language, I immediately start imagining to myself, how long is this going to take? How long will I feel clumsy? How long will it feel awkward? How long before I feel any level of proficiency? And I begin to realize I will never arrive at the level of fluency that I really want with this language. And so I give up. How many of you have ever done that with a skill, a martial art, a sport, a language? You've wanted to do it, but as you've looked at the mountain, you've realized the years you need to put in it's just not going to be worth doing. Yeah, many of us have done that. Many, many of us have done that. What if I told you right now that there was a way for you to learn whatever language it is you've always wanted to learn, but that the language is already inside you, that you didn't know that, that the language was already inside you, it was like an app that needed to be turned on and that that language could be released in, say, a mystical five day process? You, you have a major job you have to do. You have to clim 12, 000 foot mountain and you have to carry your backpack and it's going to take five days and you're going to get to the top of that mountain. You're going to have to meditate and go through incredible difficulty. It's going to be unbelievably challenging. And then on the fifth day, you're going to come down the mountain, but you're going to have the language. How many of you would climb that mountain to get that language? I think you probably would. And so this is what I want to share with you. Speaking, presenting, becoming a great storyteller is not like learning a language. It is already inside you. It is an app that comes with the Sapien installation. You were born with it. You used it a lot when you were a child. In fact, have any of you ever seen a two year old on a plane that's afraid of public speaking? I don't think so. They're not. But something happens after the age of two where that app is put into dormancy and a new app is installed. And that app is Communicate Safely. Has anybody here activated the Communicate Safely app? And it's drowning out your real personality. It's drowning out who you really could be. You look over and you see somebody else who's the life of the party. You see them cracking jokes and telling stories and being self expressed and you look at them with admiration. You look at them and go, wow, they're the life of the party. I wish I could be like that. But then somebody goes, well, why don't you do that? You're like, no, can't do that. In fact, some of you have seen people who become like that after they've had two or three glasses of wine. Is it true that they're usually quite reserved, and then all of a sudden, two or three glass of wine and they're unleashed. They're just unleashed. Now, unfortunately, after the fourth glass of wine, they cross into a totally different zone and they're unleashed too far. But the reason I'm pointing this to you is I don't want alcohol to be the way we do that. I want you to be the way we do that. The app is already inside you. You are already a Sapien storyteller. It was already part of your DNA. It's just been turned off. And so what I'm hoping to do is take the opportunity to help you turn it on. And I'm going to take the first step of that right now, today. And with some of you, I'm going to do that in a five day journey. And we're going to turn it on in the most convincing way. But here's how we're going to start the journey today. I want you right now to think about a life experience that you've had where there was an emotional response. And I want you to write about it. It doesn't have to be a compelling story. You don't have to know the value of the story. Right now, it's not about that. But I want you to go back to a memory that has an intense emotional response for you. All right? And I want you to tell me in the chat just one line sentence of what it is. The time you climbed Kilimanjaro, the time you went scuba diving for the first time. The moment your baby girl was born. Oh, you know, like, I just want it to be a moment like that, a moment like that. And then as you think about that moment, I want you, right now, if you're okay with this, just to ease your eyes closed for a moment. Just ease them closed. You don't need to look at me. You don't have to talk for a second. And what I want you to do is allow that time and place to take shape around you. I want you to look around and see the space you are in, the room or the wilderness or the location you're in. I just want you to look around. And as you look around, I want you to let it increase its resolution. What I mean is, at first it's kind of foggy. You don't really remember everything. But I want you to really try to see the people that were there, the facial expressions they had. And then maybe you hear some sounds coming in. Maybe there was some street traffic or nature of birds. Maybe people were talking. And maybe. Maybe even some smells can begin to circulate for you. And what I want you to do is, in a sense, form a holodeck around you. I want you to form a hallucination around you of that particular moment, of that particular time. And then I want you to notice that you can look anywhere. You can look all. You can look behind you and there's stuff. You can look down at the floor, see your feet on whatever surface it was. Is it snow? Was it sand? Was it a carpet? Was it a floor? I want you to notice that you can look around that space and you can be in it. And then right now, you can ease your eyes back open. And then what I want you to do is write some of the details and feelings you experienced going into that Space. The details and feelings that you experience going into that space, go ahead and write them down. I want to see them. Exhilaration. Freedom. Cold. Ruin. Fear. Enthralled. Surprise. Love. Nervousness. Excitement. Wow. Wow. That's incredible. Those are some real emotional experiences. You just went there. Did you know that you could time travel? Because humans are fully capable of conscious time travel, we can just do it just like that. So now I want to ask you a very simple question. If you want to see how quickly behavior can change and how quickly skills can be developed, here's my question. If I right now were to turn the camera on you, how many of you feel like suddenly you'd be able to tell the story of that experience about 10 times better than you could have before I put you in the environment? How many of you feel like, oh, my God, I could tell the story way better right now. I could do it right now. That's upgrade. That's skill acquisition, and that's unleashing something that's actually already inside you and always was. So what I want you to know is that this skill, this unbelievable power of attraction, this ability to generate charisma and the ability to influence, it's something that's in you and always has been. There's just been a few moments where society and overbearing parents and overbearing teachers taught you to play safe. And there's a time and a place for playing safe, but it's not on stage and it's not in front of the camera. Okay, so now. Now I want to give you the next level skill upgrade for this. Are you guys ready for another one? All right, in order to understand this one, I want you to understand something about the Law of Attraction. A lot of people talk about manifestation and law of attraction, and there's lots of different opinions about how it works. But I'm going to share with you two ideas that are maybe going to change your entire perspective about this. And it has everything to do with your ability to speak and present yourself. Well, when the Law of Attraction works, absolutely at the best is when you are at your peak level of attraction. And I don't mean what you're wearing, and I don't mean how well your hair is done. I mean, all those things matter. Don't get me wrong, but there is something magical that happens when people walk onto a stage or in front of a camera, turn on their authentic being, and deliver from the heart. It is a magnification of attraction beyond anything you can do in a straight vibrational meditation. It is action. It is absolute action. And so when you make people feel, when you give them the opportunity to feel, they develop a sense of attraction for you. In fact, we call this the stage effect. That's what the name of my quest on speaking is at Mindvalley. They call this the stage effect. And the reason is, is that if you have two people, say twins, and one of them goes to a networking event or conference and they meet all kinds of people, but the other one gets on stage, tells some stories, cracks people up, makes them laugh, maybe makes them cry, makes them feel, but makes them remember, makes them feel upgraded, changes everything. The second twin gets all the opportunities and the second twin, frankly can charge more for those opportunities. And so this is the game that we want to play now with storytelling. I want to run you through another exercise that will really up level your storytelling capability. So I want you right now to think about a story that you have to tell. But it's not your story. It's a story you heard once. Maybe it's one of my stories. Maybe it's a story you heard me tell one day. Maybe it's a story you heard Vishen tell one day. But it's a story that you heard. It's not yours. But you have a project. You have a project. You have to go tell that story in front of 500 people and you have to completely convince them that it's your story. You have to. That's the project. Your project is to tell your story. The story you heard. My story. A story somebody else told you, Vishen's story, whatever it is, you have to go on the stage and you have to tell that story. But you got to convince them it's yours. You got to make sure they fully believe that it's yours. Tell me in the chat right now, what are the things that you would do to make sure they believed you? What are the things you would do to make the story believable? What are the things that you would add that would make sure that the audience are going, wow, this really happened to Camilla, to Annabelle, to Gene, to Navi, to Tammy. This really happened to them. Now check this out. Listen to this. Feel it as you speak it. Body language, details, emotions. Personalize it. Feel the story. Add emotion. Feeling. Do you see the list here? Now I want you to know something about that list. Remember all the story points and say it fluently. Convey emotions and feel it on my own. Connect with it. Talk about what you're thinking. Use your internal dialogue. Express your emotions in your voice and in Your words. I mean, you guys have nailed it. Well, here's the kicker. How many of you have seen a speaker go on stage and tell their own story and not use any of this? And, like, you're even wondering, was it even their story? Like, they're not even engaged in the whole thing. It changes everything. And so if we're going to tell a really unbelievable and compelling story, we're going to create a holodeck, we're going to associate deeply to the story, and then we're going to use all those mechanisms to make sure that they get it, that it's real, that it's memorable, that it's unforgettable. So with that, now we're going to jump to some of the different types of stories I want you to think about. But before we do that, I need you to understand something. Some of you have tons of stories, and some of you feel that you have none. So, again, in the chat, here's what I want to know. How many of you have tons and tons of stories? And how many of you, like. I just don't have any stories, Eric. I just. I just don't have any stories. Just tell me if you have tons or none or some tons or none. Thousands. Thousands. I saw hundreds. Tons, Tons, tons. Some. Some. None. None. Some none. All right, now, here's the next thing. How many of you. You say, this is what you say. You say, that's me if I've nailed this. Okay? You say, that's me if I've nailed this. How many of you have lots and lots of stories? You just don't think they're all that valuable. You don't know how to get. You know, they're not. Just not that you got lots of stories, but they're just not that valuable. Okay? That's me. That's me. That's me. That's me. Me, me, me. That's me. That's me. That's me.
Yes.
Excellent. Awesome. So now you're going to have the next big breakthrough, And I mean this. In fact, if you've listened to nothing else that I've shared so far, just listen to this part. This is it. This will be the most important thing I say all night. Are you ready? Every single one of you, you have life experiences that have unbelievable value if delivered correctly to the right audience. Every single one of you. You, right now, I'm talking to you. You. If you are alive right now and you have ever experienced terrible pain, unbelievable celebration, phenomenal success, deep frustration, anxiety, fear, anger, jealousy, deep love and Passion. If you have experienced anger, any of those things. And by the way, if any of you experienced none of those things, just let me know in the comments if you've experienced none of those things. Because, you know, we need to address that. Has anybody experienced None? No, I don't. Nobody has experienced none of those things. If you've experienced any of those things, then you right now possess life experience, perspective, strategies, stories that have value when delivered well. That's a key to the right audience. And so what I'm suggesting is a great metaphor called Rembrandts in the Attic. Rembrandts in the Attic. It works like this. Let's imagine that you and I are looking to invest in an investment property. Okay, we're going to invest in investment property. And there's a ranch, and it's an old estate sale ranch. The old couple passed away. They had no kids, and they want $250,000 for this ranch. And it's like, you buy the estate, you get everything. There's the old rusted tractor, and there's all the furniture. You get everything. You get everything. There's a few cows in the. We get it all. So 250,000 and we're looking at it. Yeah, I think it's probably a good investment, but let's go check the place out. And so. So we go there, and then for some reason, we decide to climb up this old rickety, like, sort of circular staircase. And we go upstairs, and it's so dusty up there. And it's like, wow, they have. These are hoarders. They've got some old stuff up there, boxes of old things. And, you know, there's some. And we start looking through, and on one wall, there's a bunch of paintings stacked up. You know, art, just garbage. Art that they've left up there over the years collecting dust, you know, what have you. But we get to the. Wait a second. The seventh painting, that. That's a Rembrandt. Are we now willing to pay $250,000 for the property? I mean, are we. I think so. I think so. But they didn't know about the Rembrandt. Why they put it up there. They left it up there. It collected dust up there. But what was going on is sometimes, you know, they say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And I'm like, yes, for the first five minutes. And then after that, ambivalence is in the eye of the beholder. It's like something crazy happens where it's like, well, it's my story. I mean, I no longer have that problem and my story is no longer of value. And that's because you're on the other side of it. Because you're on the other side of it, you don't recognize it. I remember this one woman, she came to our speaking academy. Beautiful woman from India, tiny woman. And she's like, I don't have any stories. I have nothing of any value. And of course she was. I think if I remember correctly, she was pretty deep into her 60s. So you imagine she definitely had some stories. I mean, fascinating stories. But all of a sudden she just randomly starts telling the story about how she never had to use diapers for her babies ever. And we were like, what? And she starts telling this whole story about, yeah, no, babies make particular sounds when they're hungry, and it's a slightly different sound when they need to use the toilet. And so if you catch that right at the beginning, you can actually fully skip diapers. You can completely skip them. My jaw is on the floor. I have a baby. We're burning through diapers all the time. We're trying to be green and use the washables. We're not always getting away with that. We're spending thousands of dollars on these ones. Like she. And. And she starts telling the story and I'm like. And she's like, yeah, but I mean, nobody's interested in that story because in her community, everybody knows this, right? Like, everybody knows this. She doesn't have the problem. Ergo, she can't see the Rembrandt in her attic. By the way, any of you who are parents, have. Have had children, had to go through the diapers. How many of you would be willing to pay like, say, $599 to watch her quest on elimination communication on the MindValley platform? If you still had babies to deal with, how many of you are willing to pay $600 for that? Like, without question, you're going to save way more than $600 on diapers. But she had no idea of the value that it had. She had no idea. And what I'm trying to tell you is that there are life experiences you've had. There's that time that you were, you know, maybe fired or had to quit a job that you love, but you had to leave anyway. There's the time maybe you were bullied or you were harassed at work, or there was the time when you had to break up with somebody and break their heart, or maybe you were on the other side of that. There was a time when you achieved something phenomenal and stood at the top of a mountain, literal or figurative. There are times in your life where you have learned things that are unbelievably valuable to other people, but you've not been understanding that. And so what I want you to start with is a recognition that your life experience is inventory. And if you start collecting that inventory, you can start to dust it off and you can start to improve it, and then you can find ways to monetize that inventory. And when I mean monetize that inventory, I mean there are books you could write, there are talks you could do, there's consulting you could provide, there are digital training programs you could do, there are retreats you could run, there's consulting you could do. There's a variety of ways that you could be sharing your wisdom, your brilliance with the world. And what I want to tell you is the time has never been better for this, ever. Because if you want to protect yourself in. In the coming age of increasingly smart AI and increasing dependence upon machines, then the single biggest protection that you could ever create for yourself is to personally brand yourself as a person of influence, as a person of knowledge, as a person of wisdom. Because then people want to interact with you. People are craving, as Vishen said in the introduction, they're craving live experience, the Registration numbers for MindValley University off the charts for this coming year. People want live experience. They want to be working with people. They don't want to work with a computer. How many of you have found that even your own Instagram or TikTok usage has been negatively impacted by, or I should say, positively impacted by AI? You just got tired of it. I mean, it's not that amazing anymore because half the stuff is fake. People want real, and you are real. What I want to do is help you unleash that real and put it out into the world in the most powerful way you can have the biggest impact you can to create the most value you can so that you can live that rewarding life. And so I'm going to give you a very tangible example of this. Many, many years ago, I discovered some things about health. I discovered some things about health. And I really wanted to share those things about health. And I did initially share them. I shared them with a few of my friends. They go, eric, you look fantastic. How did you do that? How did you do that? I go, oh, let me show you. And I take out a piece of paper and I'd write down for them all the things they should do. Do all this and don't do that, and it's gonna work out really well for you. Can anybody tell me, on average, how long my friends stuck to the instructions I gave them? Can anybody tell me. Six or seven days was about the average. A few people, it was measured in minutes, and a couple made it out to about a month. But that was it. It was heartbreaking for me. And then in the years that followed these discoveries, I found public speaking. I was terrified. I mean, I was terrified. I. I was phobic. It was awful for me. But I realized that my Rembrandts were way too valuable for me to let them be trapped by my fear. In fact, letting my fear hold the Rembrandts inside was decidedly selfish. I. I want you to hear what I just said, because I'm wondering if some of you are being a little bit selfish sometimes. If I let my fear stand in the way of me delivering my life experience, I am being decidedly selfish. And so as I figured that out, I started changing something. Susan, I so get you. It's so real. I started changing something. I started using storytelling. And I remember one day I went on stage and I did this talk, and I came back. It was in Copenhagen. I came back to Copenhagen about three months later, and this woman comes running up to me, running up to me. It was like. And I wasn't really. I mean, I'm kind of used to now people want to come talk to me at the end of the event and stuff. But this was early on. This woman comes running up to me. I'm like, oh, my God. I have to, like, run away. And she comes running up to me. She goes, eric, Eric, Eric. She goes, look at me. And I'm like, I'm looking at you. And she goes, but can't you see how much weight I've lost? And I'm like, that's amazing. I'm sorry. Have we met before? And she's like, oh, my God. I'm so sorry. I was at your talk here in Copenhagen three months ago, and I was in the audience, and I just totally forgot that you probably don't remember me, but I totally remember you. Your story completely changed my life. I went home, and I just. I just didn't want to eat that stuff anymore. And I suddenly did want to eat that stuff.
And then.
And then I wanted to go to the gym and look at my body. And that woman was a huge inspiration for me because I had basically given up on health coaching at that point. I had tried to help so many people and it just didn't work. But that woman showed me that the power of storytelling might be the answer to the entire problem. And that gave birth to me creating a three month journey of storytelling that I'm sure many of you experienced in Wildfit. And to this day, hundreds of thousands of people have had their lives changed by storytelling. And so I want you to do the same thing. I mean, and by the way, I see some of you commenting on it. If Wildfit changed your life, if storytelling has changed your life, tell people about it. And by the way, we know that people do. That's the beauty we have people, they go and go, oh, I know all about WildFit. Oh yeah, you do? Yeah. Like, I remember that one time you went hunting with the bushman. Oh, you've done the program? No, my friend told me the story. Like it? It's unforgettable. You have experiences, you have knowledge, you have perspectives that people need. Please listen to me. For the vast majority of human history, the only way to pass wisdom from one generation to the next was through words. It was through sitting and telling stories around the fire. And what's happened now is that we've let our egos and shame get involved. Many of you have no idea what your parents marriage was really like. Many of you have no idea what your grandparents marriage was really like. Many of you have no idea what some Instagram influencers business life is really like. Because they're only telling you the best part. We have a responsibility to the generations that are coming and that are developing right now to share our wisdom and accelerate human evolution and knowledge. And you are supposed to be a part of that. And I know many of you are already a part of that. What I want to do is help you magnify that, help you do it even more, help you do it more effectively, help you reach more people. How many of you would feel very fulfilled in being able to reach even more people and create more value for more people around the world? I can tell you, as somebody who wakes up every day to messages of gratitude from people around the planet, I am blown away by it. I am blown away. I frequently pick up my phone and have messages on Instagram that bring tears to my eyes. And by the way, I very often vocally reply to people whenever I can. And then they write back to me. They're like, oh my God, you replied, of course I did. You just gave me the greatest gift ever. And then I want you to know something. All I'm really doing is sharing the things I've learned, but I'm sharing them effectively, and I'm using storytelling to do that. So what I want you to think about in your life is what are some of the stories that you know have at least some emotional value, even if you don't know what the value value is? And then I want you to think about them and maybe start keeping a journal of I keep a story journal. And you can keep them electronically in Google Docs or in Notion or whatever, but I keep a story journal. And I love keeping a story journal because it means that when I need to prepare a talk or I'm going to be writing the next chapter of a book, they're all there for me. Look, I've got a great memory. I do. But listen, don't tell my wife this, but sometimes when I'm looking for my glasses, they're right on top of my head, so my memory can't be perfect. And so I don't want to trust my memory with all my stories all the time. I want to capture them so that I can trigger them in a moment. So I want to share with you a couple of types of stories that might help you with this. There is an origin story. Now, you guys have all heard about origin stories, but I want to tell you why origin stories are so important, so very important. An origin story gives the audience a sense of being part of the journey with you. Being part of the journey, they feel like they were there with you at the beginning because they heard that story. And the more attached to the beginning, the more they want to stay in the story with you. That's a great origin story. And one way to think of an origin story is it's the moment you woke up and realized that this is what you wanted to do when you grew up. It's the moment you woke up and realized you wanted to change your health forever. It's the moment you woke up and realized something and it changed your life trajectory. It moved you to a different life vector. And that origin story talks about the journey you went through to have that experience. And when you learn to effectively deliver that origin story, you'll be able to create that same origin moment in other people. So, for example, I have an origin story about how I turned around my health. And when I share that origin story, people from the audience come up to me and go, I want that. You just woke that up in me. I want that. And so an origin story really creates that. And by the way, every superhero has an origin story. You know why? Because if you're invested in the origin story of the superhero, you're more likely to keep buying the comic books or going to the movies. But I'm going to give you a clue about stories. It's not that we want so many different stories. It's that we want the same stories with slightly different twists. So I'm going to share something with. You might not know about superheroes, but every superhero is an orphan. Every superhero is an orphan. In fact, some of them are double orphans, like spider man. Spider man's parents died. Then his uncle dies. Superman. He's not just an orphan. He's the last living person in his entire race. Like, they took his planet out. It's a key thing about the origin story of a superhero. And so when you're constructing stories, you can recognize that there's certain structure to them that's really valuable. The hero's journey. The hero's journey is a really good example of this. But many of you have heard somebody deliver a flat hero's journey on stage. How many of you would like to learn how to do a proper hero's journey on stage? I mean, a really effective one, one that makes people move. All right, so in order to do that, first we have to do the flat hero's journey story. This is the flat one. There's a hero, There's a challenge he has to overcome or she has to overcome, and then he overcomes the challenge and celebrates. That's a flat hero's journey. That's like, I was broke and I didn't have a job, and then I read this book, and I learned how to market everything, and then suddenly I was a millionaire. I mean, who's heard that story, by the way? Anybody? Anybody heard that story? Yeah, yeah, yeah, they heard that story. So a really good hero's journey story does something different. It's all of those features, but with one more piece that makes magic. And that is the evolution of the hero, who the hero had to become to survive the challenge. And a lot of speakers just. They can't do that because they have to admit that before they were shameful, they were procrastinators or they were lazy, or there was something not yet evolved in them. There's something off, and they don't want to admit that. And so a really good origin story speaks about the truth of your journey. It speaks about who you really were before it started, and then it speaks about who you became as a result of the challenge. And that changes everything. What I'm hoping I've inspired you to do is to think of your life as a collection of inventory. Inventory that is not only valuable, but that it is your responsibility to share that it is your responsibility to share for the generations that are coming. Because if you don't, it's lost forever. And so then, in order to do that really well, what I want to suggest is that you create a story journal for yourself, that you recognize that you have these life experiences. And then I'm going to share with you one more unbelievable life hack about becoming a great storyteller. And honestly, if you just listen to this one hack, it might. Might change your whole life, and that is this. Once you begin to realize that you are ultimately a story factory, right, Your whole life is just a series of stories. And when you are in them, you cannot necessarily change the environment around you. But the one thing you can change is the way you show up. And the minute you begin to realize that you're in a story that you might want to tell one day, you tend to. To show up as a better human being. You tend to evolve faster and in the moment. And that is one of the most powerful, powerful moments of being a storyteller, is that you get to choose your response in a much more conscious way. It's almost like imagine that you're living with a documentary crew following you around, helping you to become the very best person, the very best version of yourself that you could be. I hope that I'm inspiring you to want to get your message out in the world, to commit to doing it as effectively as possible, and to collecting your stories as inventory and to recognizing that you have Rembrandts, Picassos, and all kinds of other amazing treasures in the attic. Thank you guys so much. It's been a real pleasure to share this with you. I hope you're inspired, and I want to see your stories all over the Internet, and I want to see them live when I show up at your events. I'm looking forward to it right now. All right, I think Vishen's going to be coming back, but I'll. Oh, there it is. Oh, good deal, Good deal.
Great stuff, Eric. I love to part about the Rembrandts in the attic. Okay, so how did you guys like that? Did you learn something? I want you to put your biggest insight in the chat. Mine was the Rembrandt in the attic and how incredible every little story can be. So I heard that from Eric several months ago, actually. And what I started doing is on my iPhone, on my notepad app. I will. Every time a story comes to me. I'll be having dinner with a friend and a story will come back from college years. I'll just write it down. Then I'll go home and I'll put it in my system for cataloging stories. So let's look at some of the insights. So just In a mere 45 minutes, a lot of you are saying you got some really powerful insights. The story factory. The right story for the right audience. The evolution of the hero. How in how inspirational it is to be live. Nazi said. Mine was, if you want the audience to feel something, first feel it yourself. Nikki said, not needing nappies. Someone else said the story journal. So if you got that many insights in this short an amount of time, imagine what you could do if you were going really deep with Eric. Right now I want to show you something really cool that happened today. I just got word from my team that we just announced Mindvalley's Community Speakers of the Year. Now this was purely coincidental. My team is large, 230 people. The team that was announcing the highest rated speakers did not know that we were doing this presentation today because again, 230 people scattered across 60 countries. But I want to share with you the community speakers whom we just recognized on mindvalley. And you can see this for yourself because this just shows you how important it is to understand how to take the stage. Okay, so check this out. So if you go to mindvalley Instagram, you will see just moments ago this post went up and it said recognizing the top 10 tribe speakers at Mindvalley University. So MindvalleyU is a two week event. It happened in Amsterdam and we had something like 300 people apply to speak alongside like 100 plus world class speakers from Daniel Priestley to Eric at Meedes. And of the 300 community speakers, there were several who we gave the stage to. And when we give you the stage, it's a remarkable stage. And then there's an app and all of you, our community, you vote for the best speakers. So I'm really proud to announce that Cecili Stabell Eriksson from Norway was our highest rated speaker this year. But I mean, you can go further. Number two was Lange de Aresco. Number three was Gali. And a lot of these speakers we already took action. So Gali, we just signed him to teach a class on cloning businesses for entrepreneurship mastery. Gali is an incredible entrepreneur, but he's never really been a speaker. And when he got up on stage, he was so nervous, but he was so funny, so charming. We just signed him and then number four was also Kashpakova. Now also used to be my former cto. She's from Russia. And I want to share with you something really interesting. So when I saw that also was number four. Now this, I just got this information today. I was wrecking my brain. In 2018, Eric did speaking Academy in Estonia, and I sent some of my top executives and I was wondering, could it be that this girl, now remember, she's an engineer, she's from Russia, English is not her native language. I was running, wondering also did I send her in 2019 to Eric Speaking Academy? And now six years later, she just got recognized as one of the top speakers out of 300. Okay, so I messaged her and I want to show you what happened. I messaged also, you can see this message was sent 5:53pm today at 6:29pm so this message was sent in the middle of Eric's talk by Congrats, by the way, did you ever attend Eric at Me Speaking Academy? She goes, thanks so much for the spotlight. I appreciate it. Yes, I did attend Speaking Academy. It was a phenomenal experience. Now I want you to read. I'm reading this for the first time with you. Okay? So I said, I'm presenting on it now. Can you leave a quick note? So Alsu said, and remember, Engineer, she was a CTO and she's a Russian speaker from Russia. She says, I'm able to share on any topic with inspirational story structure and clear intention. I didn't expect that essay meaning Speaking Academy will be so much more powerful because in order to tap into our stories, we need to go deeper into our essence, find our authenticity and stop hiding. I learned not to hide behind the presentation, but to embody my power and message, tap into emotions and share it in a way that will lend to the heart of participants. The whole experience of essay designed as a transformational journey, as well as having lots of practical tools. How to structure your talk, how to prepare your talk, how to always be ready to speak and have powerful stories. Thanks, Eric and Mindvalley for the experience. I was able to share my message as an integrative coach with people around the world. In India, Portugal, Spain, in Dubai, with the audience of up to 1,000 people. And I felt only excited and confident. Now you can notice her English is not perfect. But after taking Speaking Academy, also continued being our CTO for several years. Then she decided to strike out on her own and become a healer and a breathwork instructor. And that's what she's talking about. She ended up speaking all around the world to audiences of over a thousand people. And even without being English native, as you can see from this Instagram post, she was, she won one of the top five speakers at Mindvalley. Now number five is Francesca Facio. And I'm so proud of her. She works with me currently. She's from Costa Rica. And Francesca, I'm sending her to Speaking Academy. So those of you who joined the class, Francesca will be your classmate. And the other person who's going to be your classmate whom I'm really excited is my son, Hayden. So my son is a genius kid. He literally scored in the top 99.99% of SAT scorers in America. So he's applying to Stanford, to Harvard. But he took a gap year to study Mindvalley Mastery. And one of the programs that he's self educating himself on is Speaking Academy. And the reason for that is because Hayden's a smart kid and he knows that communication skills officially on LinkedIn and public speaking are ranked the third most important job skill number one I believe is applied AI. But communication, public speaking is ranked the third most important skill to help you elevate your career. So I look forward to you meeting my son there. He'll be your classmate. And Francesca, now I want to show you what actually happens at Speaking Academy. First, Steve Jobs said the storyteller is the most powerful person in the world. And Jobs had a reason for saying that this is true. Jobs greatest gift was not just product design, he was a storyteller. Who can forget that moment? He got on stage and he revealed the world's first iPhone. But it was how he revealed it that really made a difference. That wrecked Nokia and made Apple the world's first trillion dollar company. Who can forget Steve Jobs speech at Stanford in 2005. I still remember those words. They inspired me with my mission, which was to help spread intuition. He said always follow your heart and intuition. Somehow they already know who you are to become. And I think that advice is so apt because if in your heart right now you are feeling that you're meant to be on stage, that you're meant to be seen, listen to that, take action on that like also did. Okay, so what is Speaking Academy about and who is it for? If you say yes to these questions, this might be for you. First is have you ever struggled to clearly share your message even when you knew it could make an impact? Do you feel like your voice should be seen and heard on a bigger stage? Would it serve you to speak with calm unshakable confidence in any room. Are you ready to influence with integrity, talking about your product, your offering, as we are doing right now, without ever sounding salesy or manipulative, if you want said yes to any of those, this program is going to make a big difference in your life. And you've seen Eric's gift. Now the dates are coming up soon. It's November 10 to 14. It's a five day event. And Eric, how many hours is it per day?
Well, I just say this, don't plan any dinners in the evenings with your friends in Miami. We will be very intensely engaged for the entire day and into the evening and we'll take unbelievably good care of you.
And it's super fun, guys. I attended in 2019 and it's a remarkable program. You go late, but just like Joe Dispenza, you know, there's a reason for that. You go through a transformation but you're with really fun people now.
Yeah. And vishen, I mean, you know, in terms of the hours, the reason there's not a fixed answer is that a lot of the times the participants will be practicing even beyond the normal class.
Right.
The hours are a little bit more direct.
It's like being back in college. It's fun. Okay, so it's happening in the exciting city of Miami, usa. I am not taking it again but I am going to be popping by to I want to check on my son. I'm going to be supporting the team and putting it on. So I'm going to be there and I'm looking forward to meeting all of you. So when you're there, you're not just getting to meet Eric. You're going to meet me and several Mindvalley teachers. People that you know, big name teachers are going to be in there as well. Okay. It's happening at the Pullman Miami, which is right near the airport. So you just fly to the airport. It's about a five minute Uber, super close to the airport, extremely affordable. We wanted to make it easy, a really accessible hotel. Okay. Now it's designed to get you in the top point 1% literally to be one of the best speakers you can be. Because as we said earlier, imagine if one talk could shift your career, your income, your influence forever. Just like what happened to Simon Sinek. Just like what happened to all of these teachers that we just recognized on stage at Mindvalley youy. Now I want to give you an idea of what it looks like behind the scenes. So let's roll this video. My name Is, oh, sorry, I'm going to come to the behind the scenes video. But before that, I want to share a video of another gentleman who attended Speaking Academy. He was a manager in my company and I guess part of me regrets sending him there because he got so successful that he. Look, he ended up leaving my company to launch his own. His own speaking platform in India. But check this out, it is an incredible story.
My name is Gautam Khetrapal and I want to share my experience of Speaking Academy with Eric Edwards because it absolutely changed my life. You know, a couple of months after that training, I got invited to speak on TEDx. And that talk got over 5 million views, put my career single handedly on the map. I ended up starting my dream company around transformational festivals in India. And that company, just from speaking events alone, generates over $250,000 every year. I don't know if you get the context, but for someone who grew up in a middle class family in India to get to that state, that dream was not even available to me before I learned from Eric. I've been fortunate to be connecting with some of my greatest role models in the context of speaking just because of the skills that I learned from Eric. For example, I shared the story about the founder of Summit series in ways that it touched me. And Elliot, the founder, saw that story and he invited me to his home to connect with him. And that was one of the greatest mentorship relationships that I've ever had. And, and these kind of things have happened to me over and over again, all because I learned to communicate effectively and in a meaningful way from Eric. So if you get an opportunity, jump in and you'll be grateful for the rest of your life.
Yeah, so I know the sound was slow, I hope you guys could read the subtitles. But basically Gautam attended Speaking Academy, gave a TEDx talk in Malaysia, and he's from India, got 5 million views on YouTube, started his speaking career. 5 million is amazing. But if you watch that talk, it is, it is insane how good it is. And sorry, one correction. He got 5 million views on Facebook. So the YouTube version doesn't have 5 million. It was the Facebook version. Okay, but what happened is that it allowed him to launch Life Plugin. And maybe some of you in India have heard of Life Plugin. It's like the mindvalley of India. And everyone in our community, Mindvalley. We fully support Gotham. Okay, Now I also shared the story of the sheer number of authors on our platform that came from our community and maybe now you understand why we put you guys on stage. It is Reagan. When she got her standing ovation, I was there and I filmed it on my iPhone. That was the closing ceremony they did. But that is how Reagan became the most watched author on Mindvalley in 2024 and has since earned millions in royalties. Okay, now, who was this for? If any of these job titles fit you, this is for you. Because even if you're a CEO today, you have to learn to communicate. We surveyed our audience, and these were some of the common fears that people had. Okay. 45% of you said you had a fear of public speaking. 44% said you lack confidence or skills. 10% said you were not sure if you had a message that had value. And all of these are fully reasonable doubts, but a hundred percent of them moved ahead anyway. And this is what this program is for. So if you have any of these fears, it's perfectly okay. Now let's take a look at what happens at Speaking Academy.
No one ever told us where the easy part begins the story that they sold us Keeps us hanging from the end so we'll keep on starting the fires Thinking we'll smoke out the liars we don't give up when we're tired that that isn't the way that I'm wired Someday, someday we're going to rule the world I know someday we're going to rule the world Counting down to explosion I hear the moment approaching Someday.
Someday we going to run.
Waiting avalanches all the call before the fall Lightning when it flashes tells a story of it so we'll keep on starting the fires Thinking we'll smoke out the liars we don't give up when we're tired that isn't the way to we own the future we own the future up like.
Beautiful, isn't it? And it looks like so much fun. Okay, so what happens next? Let's go through the the benefits of Speaking Academy. Now, the first thing is you get to. And we're going to go through this really fast, but we'll send this all to you in an email. Okay? You get to speak with unwavering confidence in any room, on any stage, in front of any camera. And I wanted to actually share something with you. Let me quickly drop this in, Eric. In that video from that Speaking Academy class, I recognize Maria Conseco, right?
Yes.
Maria. She, she runs a nonprofit supporting slum children in Bangladesh. And I actually sponsored her to attend that class because she, I, I, I really support her charity. So, Eric, Maria won best speaker in the final competition, Correct? Yeah. So I want to show you dinner with.
I'm having dinner with her on Thursday and she won best speaker. She just was giving a speech that we saw and I was reminded that she used to be an in flight attendant for Emirates. So I'm introducing her to the executive at Emirates on Thursday night.
And by the way, Eric, I really appreciate how you are supporting your students. Now why I brought that up is I just got this message from Maria. This is one week ago. So she gave a talk and in the Netherlands. So she was on stage as well At Mindvalley University, a 74 year old woman saw her talk, really loved it and has just invited Maria and is now producing a children's book on Maria's story. And Maria was so happy about it. How cool is that? So I just wanted to say share that as another really cool story of how a student from this program and as you can see, by the way, me and Eric, we know the students names. It's because it's a small group. Okay. So number two, you learn to deliver talks that move hard, shift minds and open doors. Three, maximizing return of effort. Which means you learn how to maximize the ROI on every presentation you give. So you get more sales and you engage more followers. You attract more opportunities. In Maria's case, as I shared, she got a book, Magnetic Attraction. You learn to develop the skills that will empower you to deliver presentations that leave the audience wanting more. You learn to transform your story into a magnetic brand asset. That's what Gautam did when he did his TEDx talk. You learn to monetize your message, grow your business with your voice. The skills here don't just translate to stage. Today people sell on webinars. What people do is they present on on YouTube videos. Instant engagement. You learn how to capture and keep attention. You learn to navigate high stakes conversations with clarity and composure. You learn to design your personal brand that gets you invited, booked, remembered. So you're also learning how to make speaking a business. And you learn to accelerate your growth in a high level community of change makers. Because you're surrounded with coaches, with authors, with people, with CEOs, with people whose job it is to educate, present and inspire. So how the program works, the schedule is a five day event. Okay. So day one is unlocking the process. Day two is clinics and practice. Day three is integration and proficiency. By the way, just want to add these pictures. My team put them together. These are Eric presenting at Mind Value. You can see a lot of people in the Audience here. That's because this is Mindvalley University. Speaking Academy is a small event. It's going to be anywhere from 30 to 50 people. Okay, so it's not. And because it's we really give you or Eric really gives you personal attention. So these pictures are off, but the video that we showed you earlier is correct. And then at the end, you have a graduation. Now, the Mindvalley Advantage, world's most effective transformation platform. 25,000 case studies. We believe we're building the education model of the future. There are some beautiful videos here of people who have taken Speaking Academy and have had remarkable success. But I'm just going to quickly jump through this. Here's another really amazing story. So Kadi was. Was helping out with the event as an event organizer. But of course there was an empty seat and she was able to sit in and just experience the event and it transformed her life. Shortly thereafter, she gave a first talk in front of 800 people. And I know Kadi, super shy person. She was not the type of person who would speak up in a room. And all of a sudden she was able to deliver a talk to 800. And then Catherine Marley Dawson, her biggest breakthrough was how to get her message out effectively. And today for her, it's about the whole package. She learned the coaching, the training. She learned how to tie everything together to grow her business. Let's hear it from her in her own words.
Okay, this is on a whole new level. And I can see where this is going to take me and every everybody else in this group to a whole new level. I'm really excited. I'm in a corporate role and I was looking for something to just kind of like break out of and do something different. And I was looking for. And I do presentations in corporate, but I wanted something more. And so I was searching the Internet, speaker presentation skills, blah, blah, blah. And I came across Eric's a presentation, a YouTube presentation or something like that on.
Okay, you guys get the idea now. Jackie, again, really, really incredible success story. She said. What really surprised me, not in terms of the format, was the exercise we did yesterday. Eric had each person stand on stage and feel the energy of the audience. We worked on developing our stage presence that was really powerful. I actually felt emotional a few times because you could see people just standing there absorbing all the energy. There are lots of really unique things that Eric does that you don't think about. This is not something you can learn from a book. One of the things about Eric that I want to share is that Eric Actually won Mindvalley's Transformational architect award for his ability to transform human beings. And that's what you go through. You end up going through a transformation. Okay, so it's November 10th to November 14th. The price is $15,000 because remember, it's a small group of people. It's very hands on. It's $15,000. If you've taken a prior speaking program on Mindvalley, like Speaking Mastery, which is an online zoom based program that we do once a year, then it's $10,000. You get 5,000 off. We have a special offer for attendees of this event. It's 12,000. Now, 12,000 is not much because many people who have taken this 12,000 is what they now make on one speech. Some graduates make 100,000 on one speech. Now we are very open about this. When I sent you guys an email on Tuesday, I shared my story of going from underconfidence to going on stage. And I said, this is a $12,000 program. Show up for the webinar if you feel this is for you. So if you feel this is right for you, you can get a ticket by following that QR code. So take a screenshot of that. Take a screenshot of that QR code and I want to show you something really cool. So at the end of Speaking academy we do a competition and everybody and Eric, how would you explain it? I don't think competition is the right word.
No, I mean there is a sort of competitive side to it, but the real reason for doing that is to create reality. You know, like one of the reasons that we have this is to put people in front of a real audience and have them have a genuine experience. A lot of times people go to like a speaking training in the traditional sense and then they go, oh, I feel much more comfortable. But they felt more comfortable because they became comfortable with the people they were with by making this real environment with a sort of fun contest type feel to it. It creates a little bit of pressure and it really up levels everybody's game. It's a very powerful part of the.
And so I want to show you something. Right, okay. So firstly, you can, if you need a payment plan, you can book and use Klarna. Klarna gives you up to 24 months payment plan. I believe it's available for the US for some eligible customers you might see in the UK as well. So you need a payment plan. Klarna takes care of that. Okay, we have 25 slots left. It happens once a year. This is also she was one of the graduates. As I just mentioned, she just got recognized by Mindvalley for being our fourth highest rated speaker out of 300 applications for the community stage. And there's something else we're going to do. The pictures you're seeing here are from Mindvalley University. What we're going to do is when we do at Speaking Academy, we're going to have everyone there give a talk at the end of the academy. I'm going to be there watching the talks. I'm really excited. It's so much fun and I can't wait to see what my son is going to talk about. But we're going to take the top five winning talks and we're going to put you on stage at Mindvalley University because we want to go even further and see what we can do for your life and career now. So the top five speakers will be on stage at mvu. I will personally be there to, to watch you, to see you and I can't wait to discover new talent now. Something amazing happens when you get on stage with mvu. This is Dawn Hong. She was a community speaker last year and based on the app, she got the highest ratings last year. And this was for a workshop on tapping into Kundalini. It was a manifesting workshop, basically. Now this is what happened. We so appreciate our community when they serve, when they speak on stage. At Mindvalley University, we took dawn and we awarded her best community speaker at the Mindvalley Awards in Dubai in January this year. You see that lady standing next to dawn in the blue purple dress? That's Eve. I'm talking about Eve, the Grammy Award winning rock star. Remember the song who's that Girl? Eve presented the award to Dawn. Dawn's life completely changed. That's dawn with well known Mindvalley speakers who also won awards. You'll also notice Jay Shetty there. Imagine how your life changes when all of a sudden on your Instagram there's a picture of you winning an award standing next to Jay Shetty. All of that happened from one talk. I'll actually show you that ceremony and you can see this is Eve introducing our community speaker of the year that.
I truly do live my life by.
You know Eve, you were telling me on stage when we interviewed about that's dawn coming on stage on her own D. So we, we created all of this because we wanted to take our speaker watch, look at the, at the level there. We wanted to take our community member who gave so much and transformed their life. Now you want to Know what happened to Dawn? Okay, so that's Dawn's Instagram, her hourly rate. Her hourly rate. And she gave me permission to share this. See, that's her with Jay Shetty, also taken at the same event. That's her getting an award from Eve. Her hourly rate. And then we also put her on the podcast. Her hourly rate went from 300 to 800. She doubled her hourly rate. She was stuck at 300 for 10 years. As a healer, it went up to 800. Her wait list went from, you know, just hoping someone would sign her to a 2,000 person wait list of people prepared to pay $800 an hour for a session with her. She's become a superstar all in 12 months. That's what happens when you jump on the opportunity to really hone your skills and deliver on stage. Now, the reason is while there are so many people who dream of being a speaker, few actually take action. And so if there's like one lesson here, guys, is this is probably going to be for those of you who can afford it. And again, we wish we could make it affordable to as many people as possible, but. And we do, because the Stage effect, Eric has a smaller program on this on the Mindvalley app that's just 2, 9 9. But for those of you who can afford it, who this, this is your career path. This is who you want to be. This is how you want to change the world. This is something I strongly advise. And I'll see you in Miami. Eric, back to you.
Hey, thank you, Vishen, for everything. I really appreciate that. And I just want to say that. I just want to say that I know that some of you feel like this is good for them, but it wouldn't work for you. That it will work for Don, it'll work for Regan, it'll work for Eric, it'll work for Vishen, but it won't work for you. But I really want you to understand that this whole thing, this wisdom that you have inside you, this life experience you have inside you, it is absolutely in there. And your ability to deliver it is natural to you. And what we're going to do is help you release it. The level of transformational experience in five days will be more than I can possibly state on this program. So for those of you who have made the decision to be there, I am so excited to share this with you. And I just want to put one more thing out to you. In the comments, I saw Paul Rasmussen writing. He wrote a beautiful thing about his coming to the speaking academy, but I want to tell you the greatest testimonial that he provided is the same one that Vishen's providing, and that is they've both sent their children to me. And I want you to know that when Paul sent his daughter, I considered it an unbelievable honor. And that Vishen's son is going to be there is just a real privilege to me. And I think it speaks to how much they trust me and they know that the process is going to work. So if you're sitting on the fence, jump off, go to the landing page, and see me in Miami.
Yeah. Not only am I sending my son, guys, like, I so believe this is going to be transformational to my child, that I'm traveling with him and I'm a really busy person. I'm flying all the way to Miami because he's still too young. He's never traveled by himself and he's never been to the US and so by himself. And so I'm traveling all the way with him. I'm spending a week in Miami just so I can give my son this opportunity. That's how incredible this is because I've seen so many lives transform in five days. It's mind blowing, Eric. So thank you, Eric. Super grateful for you. We have to wrap up this call, and.
Congratulations, Nadia.
Okay, thank you guys and thank you all. And I also hope I'll maybe see some of you guys on stage at Mindvalley University. Thanks, folks. Bye.
