Have you ever heard the phrase Asians don't age as much? Well, maybe there's some truth in that. Check out this video. This video blew me away. I found it on Reddit. But then I wondered, these people in a park somewhere in Asia, could they just be healthier because their country doesn't have the American diet, right? Which we know is so unhealthy? So I looked up something else. I looked up to see the average lifespan of Asian Americans versus other Americans. It turns out Asian Americans sometimes live up to 10 years longer. 10 years? That's crazy. Now, I don't truly know why, but one thing that I know is that many people from East Asia believe in a concept called qi, or qi, the idea that there is a life force that flows through your body. Perhaps you know this man, Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee was famous for physical demonstrations of this life force. He could take his fist and hold it one inch away from a man, and then with a simple movement of one inch, channeling the chi through his body, send a man much larger than him flying backward. Many practices Tai Chi, Qi gong, notice that word qi, are practices designed to cultivate this chi in your body. And this chi, they say, gives you more energy, gives you more vitality, makes you live longer, in the case of Bruce Lee, gives you superhuman strength. But what exactly is Qi, and how do we learn to get some of it? Because I want that. I want to live 10 years longer. So this week in Mindvalley, we're exploring the practice of qigong. I was talking to my doctor. I had a knee injury about a year back, and I asked my doctor, what are things I should do so I could regain my mobility but give my knee time to heal? He mentioned qigong, and I got really into it. Qigong is a powerful practice, and this week on Mindvalley, I'm bringing you a beautiful masterclass with one of the best qigong teachers I know, Lee Holden. Lee Holden was the face of qigong on PBS television for a long time, and today, his new program, Modern Qigong, is on Mindvalley. So click the link in my bio to join us in this masterclass and discover how to use qigong. This is so important, folks. If you suffer from back pain or aches, if you are feeling that your mobility is slowing down, and if you are young, don't think qigong is just for old people. If you're young and you get into this now, you start being able to expand your energy, and likely you will push away other forms of aging. So check it out and join us in this masterclass where you're going to learn how to channel your chi for vitality, energy and healing.
