I was making a list recently of all the things I wish I had been taught at university. I went to school at the University of Michigan. Amazing school, top five engineering schools in the United States. And I learned quite a bit. But there was this one thing. When I made my list of everything I wish school had taught me, one thing came on top. And I realized it was leadership. Everything I thought I knew about leadership I kind of had to figure out on my own by observing leaders I admire, by reading books. But it just got also confusing because there are so many different models of leadership. And never before has leadership been more crucial a skill for all of us to learn. Not just for those of you who are CEOs or founders, but anyone who's in a company managing a team or part of a team can learn leadership. And the reason this is so important is because if you look at the world right now, there's so much unpredictability, there's so much chaos. People are waiting for someone to help shine a light, to help show them a way forward. But often the people whom we do have in power are absolutely clueless. And very often they're causing more harm than good. Now, I'm not perfect either. And I'm struggling with this, too. Before the pandemic hit, mindvalley measured the happiness levels of all our employees in companies. It's called an ENPS score, Employee Net Promoter Score. And it means how likely are your employees to rave about their job and recommend their friends and relatives come and join the company? So ENPS is measured from minus 100 to 100, and we were at 55, which is right on top. It's one of the. It's considered outstanding. But three months into the pandemic, we fell to, like, 18. 18 is not bad. It's the same place a company like Google is right now. But it was a biggest drop in employee happiness levels in the last seven years. I don't often know what to do because this was so new to everyone, including me. But one of the things I decided to do was to train myself to become a better leader. And so I had two choices. I could join a leadership program, I could read a ton of books on leadership, or I could do it the mindvalley way. I could take a leadership quest, except that we had no quest on leadership. So I reached out to the man I feel was the number one leader trainer in the world, Keith Farazi. Keith's contribution to American business, to training CEOs, to training managers, to being a thought leader in the essence of Leadership is legendary. And I asked Keith, would you create a program on leadership? And you know what, guys? I wanted this program for myself because I feel I need to upgrade my leadership level. Keith said yes. Now, this was around May this year. Over the subsequent months, Keith thought through almost every major book on leadership available out there. This is literally a photo he whatsapped me of all the books on his desk. And then working with Mindvalley learning experience designers with transformational theorists with MindValley technology, we built a quest to upgrade the leadership level for anyone who goes through this program. This program is ideal if you're a CEO and a founder. In fact, it is essential. But even if you're part of a team and you want to be able to help bring greater balance, greater care, greater vision, greater security, help alleviate the stress of your teammates, this program is for you. So I'm really excited about this program that we just brought onto mindvalley. And I'm doing this because, A, leadership is probably one of the biggest things our universities fail to teach us, and B, it has never been more important than in the world today. So if you find these ideas interesting, join me in this masterclass that I filmed with Keith Ferrazi. Keith is going to teach you some unique models that you can bring into your leadership style in the world today. But know that this one skill is probably the most important skill missing from all of our education. It's never been more crucial, and I cannot wait to see you in this master class.
