In this video, Jordan provides a brief market update for Divergence University, explaining why recent weeks have seen few or no trades due to unsuitable market conditions, especially around the holiday season and the lack of tight-range setups like those around NFP. He emphasizes the importance of patience and staying out of the market when setups do not align with the divergence strategy. Jordan then walks through a specific USD/JPY sell trade from the first week of December, detailing a five‑leg structure with consecutive false breaks, daily and hourly divergences, and higher‑timeframe confirmation that led to a strong downward move. He concludes by inviting viewers to ask questions, join the free Telegram group, and engage in the community.

Hello guys, this is Jordan tuning in for quick update about the Divergence University trades we've been taking. Uh, if you're following us, you probably noticed that previous week we only had one trade, and the week before that we didn't have any trades. So why is this happening? Very simple, guys. The market conditions are not appropriate currently for the specific time frames that we're trading and for the specific strategy that we're applying. What does that mean? For example, previous week we did have NFP, which traditionally fits perfect with divergences because we have tight ranges. And if we're able to identify such ranges, we can go ahead and use divergences to trade inside of them. Okay, this week— sorry, not this month specifically— that was not the case, probably because we're getting closer and closer to the Christmas holidays. But facts are facts, and when the setups are not there, best would be to apply patience. If you're following us for a considerable amount, amount of time now, You probably notice that almost every single week we have at least, I don't know, 5 trades on average, let's say, right? Even more. But when the time comes, this is what it counts— patience. If it's not there, if it's not clear, if the moves that you're looking at and the cycles or whatever you're using to measure the market moves is not fitting your trading style, Stay away. All right, it's nothing crucial. It's 1 week or 2 weeks, and, um, depending on the trading time frames that you're using, this is perfectly fine. We do have, however, 1 trade that, uh, we can go ahead and cover. This is from the last week, that's the week, the first week of December basically. And that was based on dollar yen, the sell setup we had here. Let me just fire up the pan. Pretty much easy to spot. Okay, this is what we can see here: a five-leg structure or a special cycle, some might call it. And the interesting part, of course, is the place where we have the first false break. Right here with the first divergence. Actually, let's switch to the live chart so we can play with all that. Um, so again, this is the first false break right here with the first divergence which appeared. Attempt to push lower, it never made it. Actually, if you're trading divergences, that one will be paying also, right? The first attempt. And then we have the second one. So basically this is giving us a second false break in a row, and this is also where we can go ahead and confirm it with the higher time frames. Now check out this zone, guys, right here. This is simply beautiful, the lows, and here as well. So if we draw the lines, and I love to mark it like that, you see where the price is Uh, headed at the moment, right? Plus, of course, the daily two divergences in a row. This is another divergence now on the one-hour chart, second one. And you can see this pressure is building, building, building. And then once it pops, boom! You have this kind of moves, immediate strong push lower. So this is. Basically the idea behind this trade. So that would be all for, uh, this video.
