Forex Trading IS NOT For YOU! You Are WASTING Your Time

Vladimir Ribakov lists nine reasons most people fail at forex trading: weak risk tolerance, emotional impulsivity, unrealistic profit expectations, and reliance on bots or shortcuts. He argues the only path to profit is structured education, a numbers-based trading plan, and patience.

Hey, hello traders, how are you? Vladimir here from Home Trader Club, and in this video I want to talk about why forex is not for you. I will name all the reasons why forex market, and not only forex trading in general, is absolutely not for you. What can you do to change it? And I want to share with you the only way, absolutely only way that actually works to become profitable trader. Ready? Let's begin. So forex trading is not for you if you lack risk tolerance. Look, trading comes with risk. Investing comes with risk. Wherever money is involved, there is a risk. And if you are unable to live with that peacefully, if you feel absolutely discomfort with risking some money and you cannot allow yourself this money, then forex trading is not for you. You must understand trading comes with risk. Yes, potential huge reward, but it comes with risk. There will be no way that you can make only rewards without putting the risk. So unless you are simply able to live with that peacefully, unless you can tolerate the risk, forex trading is absolutely not for you. The next reason why forex trading is not for you is lack of financial stability. Look, we all are different, we all have life. Some of us go and go study, right? We put money on studying, then we build up families, kids, responsibilities, commitments, mortgages, investments, you name Not all of us are able to take some money and to risk it. And unless you are able to take money that you can allow yourself to lose— and maybe that's not pleasant to hear, but I will repeat it— allow yourself to lose, then trading is not for you. Because when you start with something, when you put the money in trading or any other investments, there will be no guarantee or whatsoever that you will see rewards from that. When I started my journey, I lost and lost again and again and again and again while investing in getting better. So unless you have this financial stability that will allow you to deal with that, forex trading is not for you. And by stability, I want to be very clear For some it could be $1,000, for some $100, for some less than $10,000, and there is nothing to talk about. It's a waste of money. Or $100,000. We all are different. Do not try to be someone else. Deal with numbers and work with numbers that you can sleep peacefully with and not to lose your sleep. The next reason why forex trading is not for you is if you are impatient and if you react emotionally to things happening in your life. Let me explain. You've probably been reading articles, saw videos, reading books whatsoever, and what everybody told you— trading and emotions cannot work together. Get rid of your emotions, throw them away from the window, and then you can become a trader. It's an absolute, absolute BS. The reason is because we are human beings. We are emotional creations. We react with emotions when something exciting happens, when something nice happens, when we see something good happen to people. We laugh to people, we care to situations we, uh, we like and we, we admire. And we feel anger, stress, discomfort, some pressure in situations which are not. So you cannot get rid of emotions, you can control them. If you are able to control emotions and not to react impatiently to things that happen in your life, then you can make a progress towards being a trader. If you are unable to do that, control your emotions, and you let emotions control you, if you react impulsively in whatever happens in your life— think about anything that put you in some sort of discomfort. If that happens and you react like, oh, it was an anger, right? Or, or you're reacting in a way that makes you feel sorry Afterward and go and ask some apologize, then this is not good and it's not going to work in trading. Trading is not different because the market will always put you in this situation of discomfort, and unless you are able to react patiently with the control of emotions, then forex trading is absolutely not for you. The next one is very important: lack of knowledge and experience. Look, since our very first day on earth, think about it as a toddler, you you are learning by watching your family and people around you talking, speaking, behaving, running, walking, and so on and so on. You cannot walk before you see how that happens. You crawl, and then you are— then you are unable to stand on your feet unless you see how that happens, and you try to copy that, right? And you try to go and actually do that. That's what we do as toddlers. Then as our brains start to develop, we start to learn talking. We see how others talk, pronunciations, right? How they say words, etc., etc. Unless we learn the ABC, how it sounds, how it's written, how it appears, we would never be able to talk properly, and we will never be able to read properly, and so on. And then as we grow, numbers come in play, and then social abilities to deal with situations. So knowledge is key. But not only knowledge, but also the experience. And experience is by doing something. You see, you read, you learn, you do. Unless you do, there will be never ever a progress. Think about learning a new language. You can read and learn millions of words, but unless you start talk to someone, speak the language, you would never be able to complete a sentence. Never. So knowledge is great, and without knowledge you will be never able to reach anything. But experience is not less important, maybe even more. You gain the knowledge, you read, you practice, you hear, right? You observe, and then go and make it happen. Practice. Okay, so unless you are able to put your efforts to get knowledge and experience, then forex trading is not for you. And the next reason is not less important maybe even more, it's actually the belief of the short-term profit expectations. Look, we are— we live in this era where there are so many fake promises online, not only with trading, with anything. Lose weight in a week, or, uh, you know, gain some experience guaranteed in a week or a month or whatsoever. There are so, so, so, so many fake promises, guarantees, uh, that things will happen to be, you know, the way that you dream about and you will get rich quick. But unfortunately is that that does not exist. Absolutely never was, never will be. If you belong to the category of people who have only short-term profit expectations and you believe that there is some Holy Grail that will, you know, get you reach quick and profitable trader and successful trader like instantly, well, then forex trading is not for you. Sorry to say that, that's the truth. The next reason is not less important. That's the inability to handle high leverage. Look, leverage works in 2 ways. It can boost your profits dramatically, or it can make you lose money even faster. The reason is because you trade with leverage, you trade numbers that are not yours. With $1,000, you can actually trade like $10,000, $100,000, and with some brokers, $400,000 or $500,000. I know it sounds ridiculous, but that's what it is. And if the market goes with you, your profits would boost fast, much faster. Problem is, there will be times the market will not go with you, and that will cause you to lose all your money with a blink of an eye. So unless you are able to deal with the numbers, with the leverage, and control the risk, Trading is not for you. The next reason why trading is not for you is lack of time. Look, as I said before, we all have responsibilities, commitments, families, studies, job, work, careers, etc., etc., etc. The problem is, like in number 5 I was talking before, the promises. There are so many fake promises online promising you invest 5 minutes, 10 minutes, half an hour, etc., etc., and you will be a trader. Sorry to say that it's a big BS. It's like the same promises that promise you only 5 minutes and you will Lose your belly. Only 10 minutes and you will gain muscles. Only 3 minutes and this is the most tastiest chicken ever created. How about all the time you put in going and buying the groceries, then cleaning the vegetables, cutting the vegetables, uh, putting it all together, all the ingredients together, and then wash all the dishes together? So maybe the way you put something will take 3 minutes, But all the rest doesn't come. So all these articles and promises make me laugh, and it all comes with time. Trading is not different. So please stop believing in this 5-minute, uh, promises like all you need is just come at 8 PM, 8 AM, London opening, US opening, US closing, and so on, and just make a decision. No. So unless you have the time and efforts you can dedicate, trading is not for you, especially day trading. You can Focus on longer-term, swing-term trading and investment. But also keep in mind that investors, what they do is they check, they put all their time to find opportunities, to say no to 99 opportunities, yes, say yes only to one. They put all their time and efforts into that. So there is no such thing, oh, I just do 5 minutes and I will be successful. No, you will not. And that's another reason why trading might be not for you. The next reason would be overdepending on automatic solutions. Look, I'm a fan of automated solutions, and to be honest, I'm also involved with colleagues of mine in making such solutions. But you have to understand that the market changes, always different phases, and unless there is a person or group of people traders that are there behind the bot adjusting it, controlling that, improving that, checking that all the time, the robots will never work. And unfortunately, what they sell online to people is this very promise that, oh, here is a copy of a bot that just trend here, here, here, here, and it will always make you money. No, it will not. It might make you money in a day, in a week, in a month, maybe even a year, but for the long run, it will Guaranteed lose you money. So because, very simply, because the market always changes. Imagine going to a job that does not adapt, uh, the, the new modern ways, that does not adjust itself, and all you have to do is go just do 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, the same things without following the new technology. You will always be behind if you're not moving forward and you just stay in place. You will always eventually find yourself behind. Same with automatic solutions, right? They are amazing. The problem is, if in most of them there is no way they will make you money unless there are group of successful traders, proven traders, people that really understand and know what they do, that actually take care of the bot. That's the only way things will work. So if you depend only on automatic solutions sorry to say that trading might not be for you. And the final one is the unwillingness to adapt. Forex and any financial market is a very dynamic and constantly changing, and if you are unable to understand that and live with that peacefully and to adapt to the changing market phases, conditions, you're wasting your time. If you say, nah, I'm just a trend trader, but there is no trend for a while, or nah, I'll just wait for pullbacks, but their trend is keep going and going and going and you force trading. Or if you say, nah, I'm just a crypto trader, but crypto enters a crypto winter and so on, you would find yourself in, in, in a position where you just waste time. So this part is extremely important to understand if you are unable and unwilling to adapt, change when the market requires that, you would never be able to trade successfully. And maybe trading is not for you. Now let's talk about how to change it forever and actually make it happen. What actually and only way that works for traders to become profitable and successful. The first one, and maybe the most important one, Stop believing in miracles, Holy Grail, and fast solutions. The internet is full of fake promises that all they want is you to click, to buy, and so on and so on and so on. But there is absolutely nothing behind it. So choose wisely the people you follow, people with credibility. And if you check online, there All the new traders, or so-called traders, sorry for that, just appear like mushrooms after the rain. Like every day, a trader, a new ad, a new— and they disappear after a week, a month, a year or two. Go with proven figures, those who are there for a long time, those who stand behind what they say, those who have proofs of delivery, proof of work, that people that actually know what they are talking about. And believe me, like in anything else in life, it's easy to understand who knows what he is talking about and who is not. There are amazing solutions out there, absolutely amazing courses, absolutely amazing trading systems, indicators, and helpful tools do nothing efficient for traders. So if you stop believing in miracles, in fake promises that if you get this arrow by itself it will make you money— no, you will need to put the effort, you will need to put the work, you will need to make things happen. As simple as that. So stop believing in this. It's a first step in your progress of becoming a profit— profitable trader. And the next step is actually go and invest in the really important sources and get good resources of education and knowledge. Invest in yourself. There are so many things available online for free. The problem with that is you get over information without any specific guide how to make it happen. Now, I'm a self-made trader, unfortunately from one side and fortunately from other. Unfortunately, because if I would have someone who take me and lead me by my hand, I would save a lot of time. Fortunately, it's because I've been through everything in order to be able to be here today and to tell you that. So get yourself a proper education. Yes, it will cost you money. There is nothing wrong with studying with amazing content online. But taking that and turning that into a working concept will take you money. Unless you belong to the category of people who can do things by themselves, then I salute you. Go and do that. But invest in knowledge. Invest the time to listen to smart people. Invest your efforts to learn from people who achieved something. The people you want to be like. Learn what they did, understand what they did, learn from the resources that help them do what they did, and then go and practice. Okay, education and knowledge without practice would be absolutely zero efficiency. And the next important thing is risk management. Focus on real numbers and not on indicators, tools, or solutions. What do I mean by that is you can gain as much knowledge as you want, but unless you actually go and put it in a very clean plan, that's nothing gonna work. It's like, for example, you've been reading books and you understand that salt and sugar balance each other, that cardamom and something else go well together, that rice with some specific spices go amazingly. But unless you actually go and put the ingredients together, if only you have it in your understanding, then nothing will happen. If you were watching hours of videos about gym and fitness and so on and so on, and then you go to gym and you, uh, what do I do? Where do I start? Right. Unless you have a very specific plan that you can stick to and follow step by step, there will be nothing efficient. Same about trading. Unless you have a trading plan and a risk management plan— what do you do if set of rules happen here? What do you do if set of exit rules happen here? How much do you risk? How much do you invest? How much do you anticipate? How do you control the numbers? Unless you are able to do that, there will be nothing good. So invest in that And believe me and other traders who put the focus on numbers. Trading is numbers. Any business, anything related to money is numbers. Unless you are able to control the very simple— think about it— the very simple concept of income, of your salary. If you just go and, and buy whatever the things, in the middle of the month you run out of money and then you start living of credit. At some point it will revenge on you. So you must understand it and must control the numbers. So learn and put the efforts on real numbers and risk management. And the next very important thing is trade and practice. I was talking before about education and knowledge. So you get the education and knowledge, but without practice this knowledge would be zero because you know so much and you don't know how to put it together. You will start to forget. Think about it, like from school. How many things we actually learn at school? How many things you actually use nowadays? How actually— how many things do you actually remember nowadays from what you've been in school? Unless you practice and work with what you learn, everything will be forgotten. Our box is limited, believe it or not. Some boxes are bigger, some are smaller, but they are limited. And unless something is always in use, use, it will be somewhere there on a very, very, very, very, uh, latest cell in the brain. So trade and practice, trade and practice, even if it's demo. There is absolutely nothing wrong with demo for the first time you trade, for a while until you get comfortable. And then do it with small numbers because people tend to skip it and say, okay, I'll just put $20,000 and I'll make $100,000. No, You will not, because if you are unable to do it properly with demo and if you are unable to do it properly with smaller numbers, there is absolutely no way you're gonna make it with bigger numbers. Sorry to say that, that's the truth. So trade and practice, that's another very, very important step in order to actually change things and make it work and happen for you. And the most important thing, patience. Patience, patience, patience, and one more time, patience. Things take time. One of my favorite— actually, a couple of my favorite quotes is, first of all, from Warren Buffett, is saying that the bench you are sitting on today is there thanks to someone who planted a tree 20 years ago. Amazing and so correct. If there would be no tree and someone who go and water that and take care of there will be no bench today, or any other wooden things, fences or whatsoever we, we use, or frames. And the other one is don't try to cut steps in order to achieve something faster. Also from the legendary Warren Buffett, who said you cannot produce a baby in a month by making 9 women pregnant. It doesn't work this way. Same about trading. Good things take time. Patience, patience, patience. Effort, work, patience. Effort, work, patience. For some it could take 6 months, for some it could take 3 months, for some it could take a year or 5 or 10. It's all about you, how much effort you put, how much you are willing to put the time and the efforts to learn from what you do Good, what you do bad, how to change and improve that and adapt to the changing, always changing market faces and conditions. Okay, this is the only way, absolutely only way. Despite with all the TikTok, Instagram, Instagram, whatever will promise you. I saw some you know funny videos with like people doing like showing with that and like you know some arrows promises bum bum bum dollars falling from. Come on, you are better than that. You are smarter than that. Go put the effort. That's the only way to make trading profitable. So thank you very much for your time. I hope you find value in this video.
