Forex Weekly Forecast - EURUSD, GBPUSD, GBPJPY, GOLD (XAUUSD) - 24 June 2024 - By Vladimir Ribakov

In this weekly market outlook, Vladimir Ribakov of Home Trader Club reviews the EUR/USD, GBP/USD, GBP/JPY, and Gold (XAUUSD) pairs across multiple timeframes, highlighting key supply/demand zones, divergence signals, and potential trade setups. He begins with a brief sponsor disclosure for 8K Broker and notes the video was recorded before market close, so minor price differences may exist. For EUR/USD, he identifies bullish divergence on the 4‑hour chart at a demand zone, suggesting short‑term buying opportunities while maintaining a longer‑term bearish bias. For GBP/USD, he discusses a completed bearish convergence, a supply zone bounce, and emerging bullish hidden divergence, indicating possible short‑term buys within a range‑bound scenario. For GBP/JPY, he notes the failure of bearish divergence, a strong bullish structure, and a Fibonacci‑based rally target of 205‑215, with divergence completion as a reversal trigger. For Gold, he outlines multi‑timeframe bearish divergence, overbought RSI/MACD, Bollinger Band breakout, and two sell‑scenario pathways that require a range break. Throughout, he invites viewer interaction, promotes Home Trader Club membership, and ends with a weekend trading wish.

Before we start, I would like to mention I record this video slightly before— it's Friday evening here, and it's right before the market is closing, so you might see a slight difference between the close price, the actual market, and what I Present now. However, I do not expect anything dramatic on the last two hours of the day of the week. So just wanted to let you know. And now let's start with the first pair that would be the euro dollar. On the last week, we predefined key levels that we saw there, and what we saw on the euro dollar was just. What we saw in the euro dollar was this zone here and here as the key levels, and our plan was from there to see bounces before further continuation down. So, so far during the week, the euro didn't do anything dramatic, but it does respect the first key zone. And to be honest, I think it is still important zone, and further bearish continuation might not happen as fast. The reason is, if we take a look on the euro dollar, I will draw here with different colors. By the way, the tool I'm using here—that's my virtual trading pen. Fantastic tool helps to draw on all the charts and move between the different time frames. You can find all the information about this one below this video in the description. Now, as you can see here on the four-hour chart, we are forming the waves, and all that happens under the conditions of bullish divergence. Now, this bullish divergence means that as as the market creates the lower lows, the indicator starts to make the higher lows. That's a bullish divergence, which means the buyers. Could try and resist the sellers at that zone. Add to that the fact that we are right on key demand levels where buyers already proved their interest several times, and we might get the opportunities during the week for the euro-dollar to bounce off these key levels. So on the short term, from my point of view, I believe that these levels here Again, assuming of course the market holds and the divergence completes, but these levels could actually go and provide more shorter buy opportunities. For the longer term, I still am not confident that the bearish move is over. So for the longer term, any pullback that happens here still from my view Should provide further bearish continuation. That's my view on the euro dollar. Let me know what do you think about this one, and what would you expect to see from the euro? Let me know in the comment section. Our next pair pound dollar. Before that though, I would like to ask your support. If you find value in this video and you appreciate the work, please hit this like button. And of course, thank you very much for taking the time to help me and my channel. Let's continue. So the pound dollar is the next one. Let's take a look what did we talk about on the last week. So our Plan was as the market was making the lower lows on the chart and the indicator to complete the convergence. You can also see that on on the chart. I think I was talking about it last week. We completed here false break. It spot right here with the indicator and lower lows. Classical bearish convergence condition. In these conditions. What we want is sell the rallies. Okay, so during the week we actually got that happening. We got the pullback, and this pullback happened to be right to this volume profile balance zone. Okay, now it's stuck in between the broken support becomes resistance in the zone of sellers here, which Was proved already several times, and bounces off the supply zone. After that, the market actually completes the two waves and now starts to form bullish divergence. So what's next with the pound dollar? So I want to quickly refer back to our longer term analysis. As per the weekly time frame, our anticipation was. And still is to see either ABCD correction on the weekly chart before it takes the next step, or to see the pound dollar moving inside this range and from there actually go and make the major rally. Add to that all the dramatic pulls. Predicting major changes in the UK with their coming elections. Add to that the pressure that Europe starts to feel also in their parliaments. It doesn't look that promising, right? However, technically speaking, the range scenario still remains as the main possibility at the moment. And if we take that into consideration, consideration. And we drop to the daily chart. Here is what for me starts to be interesting. The daily chart, um, after breaking the last falling trend line, made 3 higher highs, higher lows, which stands for bullish trending structure. At the moment, in this rally, there are no significant signs against Which makes me think that the bullish momentum here could actually try and be continued. So what are the key levels in that place? According to the previous downtrend that we experienced here, we have some key levels. We have this zone down to this zone, which are key levels, but also Very important to pay attention to that the pound dollar could actually go and complete here what I call a bullish hidden divergence or inverse divergence. And this divergence is a sign for trend continuation, possible trend continuation. So we did have here the three higher highs, higher lows, potential bullish hidden divergence. And if we drop to the four-hour chart. We can see that the 4-hour chart also starts to build up some bullish divergence signs here, right? That means that as soon as we enter this key level here, which is the broken resistance that now becomes support and the demand area where the buyers took the recent control, and we got ourselves a very strong possible buy zone. So if the pound-dollar managed to get there slowly, provide this opportunity inside the zone, and manage to complete this bullish divergence, then I think like the euro-dollar, the pound could actually provide buys from these zones, at least on the short term. That's my view on the pound. What do you think about this one? Is it still bearish? And if so, down to where would you expect this one to go? Or is it actually a buy and we are going from here to 131, 133? Let me know in the comment section. The next one on our list would be the pound yen. Last week we discussed about the pound yen, and what I explained last week, that because we have bearish divergence conditions, and if this trend line would be broken, then we come for a retest and we hold that, that would be a great sell opportunity. However, as we can see, the pound-yen did not manage to break below the trend line, hold it, retest it, and stay with the bearish signs for bearish continuation. Instead, the pound-dollar bounces off the trend line after this fake low and continues to create another high. That brings the question: Are the bears actually here? Most likely, the answer to that would be no. And because of lack of the bearish momentum in the attempt to break the trend line to hold under bearish divergence, this could be a sign that the buyers are still here. If that is the case, up to where the pound yen can go. So here are a couple of interesting levels we need to pay attention to on the weekly chart. If we plot Fibonacci extension on this ongoing, uh, two waves, we will see that we are technically around the 100 Fibonacci extension already. Okay, but, and here is the very, very big but, if we take a look on the supply levels Then we have the supply zone here and here. This is the the place where the sellers took the control of in the last uptrend and a downtrend. So there is a very serious chance the pound dollar is the pound yen sorry is actually going to try to reach within this area complete here some overbought conditions before the major turnaround take place. What are these levels? We are talking from anything in between 205 up to potentially 215. That's huge range. However, a very possible range. So why do I think that this rally is final? Is because of these levels. Because also besides the levels, we have these divergences coming up on the weekly chart. If that completes, it's not a question of if the pound yen is going to the downside. In that case, it's a question of when, and the when did not happen the last week. It didn't manage to gain the momentum below the trend line. Therefore, there is a very big probability the pound yen is actually going to complete this rally between 205 or higher, and what we will need to pay attention in that case. Is when this divergence completes for the reversal sign. What will I be looking in that case besides the divergences, of course, is the reversal signs. So one of these reversal signs we were following the last week was the trendline breakout, which never happened. So what else we need to start to pay attention to? The next divergence to form and/or waves. I will explain. So if the buyers are still in control and the pound yen pushes here to the upside, what we will want to see the pound yen doing is recreating or restructuring its divergence. It will become the multi-timeframe divergence— 4-hour, daily, weekly. And then with the same logic exactly like we started to follow the last week we will be waiting for the break lower lows and then sell the rallies and the trendline, of course. The alternative here is it makes one straight fast rally towards the area and then flips with waves, 2 waves to the downside, some range or waves to the downside, and break down. That happens, we got another call. Until then, and as long as this structure continues and did not change, the bullish view here is actually a very possible scenario now after the failure to break and hold below the trend line. So that's the follow-up on the pound yen and where it all stands. What do you think about this one? 205 and 210 or crash down All the way to below 197, 195. Share your thoughts in the comment section. And the final one for this week would be the gold. Very interesting combination we have on the gold. Let's go to this chart. Take a look. What do we have here? So starting from the monthly chart, not because we are going to trade it, just to present what do we have here. We have a major bearish divergence between the swing. Higher highs on the chart versus lower highs on the indicator. However, the second peak never was created yet, so we cannot say that the long term really changed already. On the short term, these spikes on the monthly chart, on the monthly candles, very strong signs that buyers have troubles here. It happened on the first peak, it happened here on these peaks. And we all remember how gold reacted. Add to that the fact that on the weekly chart we did have these overbought conditions with RSI above 80, MACD making new high, and I will use my Bollinger Band indicator here. And on the Bollinger Band breakout, we got this double duplication dynamic level Uh, all that brings the pressure to that downside. So the gold, if we go to the daily chart, on a daily chart it did complete beautiful 3 waves and ended up with the bearish divergence. However, the gold never yet cleaned this low, which is still a very strong possibility to happen because after such structures with divergence, it's either ABCD or some ranging correction. And in both cases, sell these rallies makes absolute sense. If we go to the 4-hour chart, on the 4-hour chart, the gold now forms some very interesting, uh, zigzag structure. 2 waves to the downside, some sort of ranging movements here. So if the sellers are About to maintain the control on gold, we want to follow one of the two scenarios. Pardon here. We want the gold to break this ranging structure, manage to hold there, comes to retest, and that gives the green light for a further sell. The alternative scenario here is that we continue. One more rally here within this expanding range and then complete the breakout. Okay, that could be the alternative trigger for the sell. In both scenarios, we need this range to be broken in order to give this bearish call. All that remains valid for me as long as this. Key highs would actually hold. As long as they do hold, I believe that gold should go for another dive in this sort of bearish corrective movement. What do you think about the gold? How low or high is it going to move from here?
