Forex Weekly Forecast | USDJPY, CADCHF, EURNZD | 22 January 2024 - By Vladimir Ribakov

In this weekly forex forecast video, Vladimir Ribakov of Home Trader Club reviews three currency pairs—USD/JPY, CAD/CHF, and EUR/NZD—providing detailed technical analysis and trade ideas. He begins by recapping the previous forecast’s focus on bearish divergence zones for USD/JPY, explaining how higher highs on price versus lower highs on the MACD signal a potential short‑term correction before a continuation rally. He examines multiple timeframes (weekly, daily, 4‑hour) and highlights key zones, Bollinger Band pressure, and possible wave patterns that could trigger short‑term sell entries. For CAD/CHF, Ribakov notes a bullish divergence on the weekly chart, describing the ideal scenario of price breaking recent highs to enable dip‑buying, and outlines Fibonacci‑based target zones around 0.68–0.70 with favorable risk‑reward. Regarding EUR/NZD, he points out a clean higher‑highs/higher‑lows structure without bearish divergence, indicating a continued uptrend; he recommends buying dips on daily and 4‑hour charts, referencing support zones, RSI overbought pressure, and potential targets at the next resistance swing. Throughout, he uses technical tools such as MACD divergence, Bollinger Bands, RSI, and Fibonacci retracements, and he repeatedly invites viewers to like, subscribe, and join the Home Trader Club for deeper education and live trading access. The video also includes a sponsor acknowledgment for 8K Broker.

Hello traders, how are you? Vladimir here from Home Trader Club and welcome to the weekly forex forecast. In today's video, 3 very interesting opportunities the way I see them: the dollar-yen, which we started to follow up on the last weekly forecast, the euro-New Zealand, and the CAD-franc, which might be building up another opportunity. Ready? Let's begin. Before we start, if you find value in this video and the trading opportunities and you appreciate that, please hit the like button. So on the previous weekly forecast, we started to follow up this condition with the idea that we have 2 Very important zones to start looking for bearish divergence, where the market will complete condition of higher highs on the chart versus lower highs on the indicator. The first zone was surrounded by these highs and the broken support became resistance, and the next zone, same story, the broken support becomes resistance and the supply area. So the first zone, as we can see, the price goes inside, never completes a bearish divergence here, which basically invalidates the, uh, the zone. However, we are now in the second area and with the market making the bearish divergence, which is here, higher highs on the chart versus lower highs on the MACD indicator. This by itself puts the pressure on a key zone and brings the very likely scenario that from this zone the market will start to slow down, make some short-term correction before very possibly continue higher. Now let's go to the higher time frames before I go to the 4-hour chart once again. If you remember on the previous weekly forecast, I mentioned that on the longer term there is no clear picture right now, and one of the reasons is there is a great probability that currently the market will try to complete this final leg upside, which means final rally. And until it will make the higher highs on the chart versus lower highs on the MACD, and then it will complete not just the weekly divergence but also a monthly divergence with brutal here I got a great accent on this brutal word. And we might have here really phenomenal situation where we got clean higher highs on the chart versus lower highs on the MACD, complete monthly and weekly divergence, and open the doors for something very big to happen later on in 2024 or maybe 2025. So with that in mind, with this possibility in mind, uh, we take it to the lower time frame, going back to the daily chart, which doesn't really give us much help. The only thing we do have on daily chart at the moment is, as mentioned before, the support that on a short term, this zone, this supply zone where we are at the moment might bring some pullbacks before, as just mentioned, continuation of the weekly chart. And here comes the 4-hour chart we were watching before. So on the first wave, which we got here, then we got a correction, and now it looks like the market will try to go and complete the final rally, complete this divergence And remember the supply we just saw, right? All that happens to be around this zone. So this is the place to start and look for the short-term sells. Pay attention to the overriding condition on the upper Bollinger Band, which puts 20 candles right at the moment and puts the pressure that from the coming zone short-term sells are very likely. For that, the classical scenarios are the following. So the ideal scenario would be like this: one more fake high to go to the supply zone, build this divergence, and then go and flip, making lower lows on the chart, lower lows on the indicator, which will complete a bearish convergence. And then sell the rallies would be our plan. Okay, so this would be the ideal scenario. Another scenario that could happen here is if we start to build 2 waves down and make the lower lows, then 2 waves up and breakout will complete a zigzag setup. 2 waves down, 2 waves up with the breakout should be a great opportunity on the short term to sell. So that's what I will be following on the dollar yen. Let me know how do you see this one. In the comment section below this video. The next instrument is the CAD/CHF. We started to follow on this one several weeks ago When it was making this bullish divergence, and the plan was to look for, as long as the low holds, to look for the buys. And as long as the low lows holds, but what happened with this pair is completed a new low. Once it makes a new low, we should leave it alone and wait until the next opportunity builds up. And here is the next opportunity. So the weekly chart still is on the same bullish divergence condition. While the market is making the lower lows, indicators complete higher lows, and it's an absolutely fantastic bullish divergence. Take a look also on this current weekly candle, which is really strong. If we go to the daily chart, this is where the interesting part begins. The last leg here completed the 3 waves and a bullish divergence Moving average of the MACD. Let's enlarge the MACD so you can see that better. So even between the last 2 lows, we— and of course the bigger lows, there is the condition of the divergence, bullish divergence. So what we want to see in that case, basically, I want the price to climb above the most recent high between the last divergence we have And complete here higher highs on the chart. Of course, it would be ideal if we can climb even above this high, right, on the first leg, and then buy the dips is going to be the plan with a great probability to deliver. And if we go to the 4-hour chart to try to look for the waves, here is how it is building up. The first wave up was sort of a zigzag, 2 waves to the upside And then we got some range, and the range is breaking out and making its own series of higher highs, higher lows. So as it enters the zone of the previous highs, I believe the RSI overbought condition should start putting pressure for the pullbacks, which afterwards should go and complete the break of the daily high. If that basically happens, this is a classical opportunity. Look to buy the dips and to enjoy the weekly pressure and the daily pressure that is expected to happen as soon as the structure, um, reverses. What structure? Again, the sequence of the lower highs, lower lows we got As soon as we go and complete it here, it flips the trend, it flips the structure, and with the weekly bullish divergence and the daily divergence, it should be great opportunity to start looking for the buys. So for me, this one has huge potential. The reason for that, of course, is the Targets, right? This is the the very far highs around the 0.68. Of course, is the beginning of what could eventually end up. Take a look where if we plot Fibonacci's, right? The previous highs around the 0.68 up to the major broken support that now acts as resistance around the 50% Fibonacci, and that's above 0.7. So you may you make the math and you understand the risk reward opportunities in such examples. This is why I love this one. I love this opportunity. I think it's one of the greatest. Let me know what do you think in the comment section below this video. And the final one, Euro New Zealand. So on one of the last weekly forecasts, we were following Pound New Zealand and the expectation we've had to the. To see pullback and rally. Euro New Zealand, they they are moving very similar in many cases, and Euro New Zealand is very interesting at the moment. So what and why do I love here? First of all, the classical bullish structure. There is a sequence of higher highs, higher lows, and in none of the scenarios we had bearish divergence on the moving averages. We got higher highs on the chart, higher highs on the moving averages, which by itself very, very likely means the uptrend is not over. And there is a great chance we should see the pair making this final rally until the moving average divergence will go and actually complete. With this idea in mind, if we go to the daily chart right now, what happened on the daily chart, we got the 2 waves to the downside. Which ended here with the bullish divergence on the moving average of the MACD scenario that I personally love. Okay, so of course ideally what we want is the break above these two waves, right? And then buy the dips for the long run, of course. But with the daily bullish divergence and the fact that the weekly has the bullish trending structure without any ending signs. Take a look on what happens here on the lower time frame. Okay, if we take— if you break it down and we go to the 4-hour chart, right after the flip, take a look here. Fake low, fake low, fake low, right? And then finally we managed to see the price changing direction and start to make the sequence of higher highs, higher lows. This is a very strong sign, and now we are breaking this major high, which makes me think buy the dips should be a good opportunity already. As I mentioned before, there is a sequence of the higher highs, higher lows building up here. There are no signs that it's over. There is no bullish bearish divergence on the moving average once again, which for me means look to. Buy the dips. First key zone, of course, the previously broken resistances which now play as the support. It also is right here next to the major support from the daily chart, and of course the rising supportive line we have together with the next key resistances that were broken now act as support. Any pullback to one of the zones, one or two, And we can start look for further continuation upside. I believe that once the buyers will take the continued control, the first legit target zone should be the retest of this ABCD. And if it manages to break for the long run, I should we should be looking for at least the previous swing high, which means this one has a serious potential. What do you think about the Euro Kiwi?
