Simple False Break Forex Trading Strategy - Traders Academy Club

Vladimir Ribakov teaches a forex strategy based on false breakouts: find key levels on higher timeframes, drop to lower charts for bullish signals, wait for a failed breakout attempt, then enter on the pullback. He demonstrates with gold and USD/CHF trades using his custom indicators.

So now let's go to the chart, and to present my trading technique here, I would like to go directly to the trading journal. This is my trading journal. A dedicated follow-up for every single of the trades. And I would like to take 2 trades I shared recently with the Academy members and to explain them. Okay, so the first one would be the gold and the other one would be the dollar franc. Let's start with the gold and I want to explain what Behind it. Here is the gold. So first of all, the idea is the step number one of the strategy is to find key trading levels. The there are endless amount of ways to define key levels: Elliott wave cycles. Fibonacci, swing highs and lows, demand and supplies, you name it. Okay, the way I love to work is a swing high and low of the higher time frame combined with volume-based area. Volume-based area shows me where there were a lot of transactions. And the way I find this key trading level, it's with my key trading level indicator, the KTLI, this very indicator that you see on this chart. And as you can see, it is a full control of a multi-time frame. I can control everything directly from here, from the comfort of this table. And it's multi-timeframe analysis assistance for me. The other one, as you can see here, it's a massive, massive, massive histogram showing there was a lot of volume on this chart. This is the first thing. Then I want to draw highs and lows, and I will do that also with my virtual trading pen. And the great news are that both indicators that you see on this chart the KTL that helps me to find the key trading levels based on the volume profile, and the Virtual Trading Pen are available for you absolutely free with the link below this video. Go to the description below the video and you will see there 2 links: KTL indicator, Virtual Trading Pen indicators. Download it and enjoy it. Uh, so what I see here on the daily chart, it's key levels And to present it, I'll just remove for a second the monthly levels, and you will see swing low, swing low. Why do I pay attention to these lows? First of all, so in this recent, uh, bullish trending structure, this is the most recent low that are— that is now come for a retest, combined with the beautiful volume I can see here. I complete step number 1. And for me, step number 1 is identify key level. The second level is the, uh, idea of the— well, multi-timeframe. I go to the lower timeframe and I am looking for bullish signs. What are these bullish signs? It could be candle patterns, it could be supportive areas, it could be bullish divergence. So something, something that I love to do. So here are 2 things I can clearly see On the chart, if we connect the lows, we are now retesting this supportive line, dynamic supportive line. And look at the spikes: one spike, second spike, third spike in a row of this move down on the candle patterns. Beside that, there is a bullish divergence on the moving averages. It's not really clearly seen here. But it is there. There is also bullish divergence on the RSI. Very strong sign there that something is building up and a correction is a very strong possibility. And the final step here is the 3rd lowest time frame in the 3 I work with, in that case daily, 4-hour, and 1-hour. And now I am looking for false breakout. So I identified the levels, I saw the slowdown verified by a divergence. The next level I want, the next step I want to see is false breakout. What is a false breakout? It is a place where I can see attempt to make a new low and it fails, and another attempt to make low which also fails. Very strong sign. And you can see that for me, it is identified automatically. I have it with my False Break Convergence indicator. You can also find all the information about this indicator below this video. In the description, the false break and convergence indicator helps me to find these conditions. This is where I complete the flip. So you can see from lower lows which are fake and countered with the bullish divergence, we make higher highs. A classical flip which makes me look for my buy opportunities from here. The Idea is simple. Buy the pullbacks becomes the plan. Pullbacks to where? So first of all, again, the volume zone, the previous swing lows, and mainly, mainly, mainly look for the next bullish signs. I look for bullish hidden divergence to give me the sign that this trend is likely to continue. Higher lows on the chart versus lower lows in the indicators. That's what I want to see when it comes to a hidden divergence. Once I got that, the decision is to buy. And this is exactly how we worked with this trade in the academy. The next one is the dollar franc. So what I wanted to see here is also the same idea of the flip, and I want to explain what stands behind it. But before I do that, if you find this video useful and helpful, please show your support back. Hit this like button, drop some feedback in the comment section, and if you have any question about anything I present here, don't hesitate to ask in the comment section below this video. Okay, so dollar franc would be the next one, and once again, if you have any question about anything I show here Let me know in the comment section below. So the way I work here is the first of all volume. Look at the volume we have here. Okay, let's plot the weekly time frame. You can see weekly massive volume area. We can also judge that with the histogram. The next step is identify the important highs. So in the move down, this is the current swing high that comes in play. This is where I will want to go to the lower time frame and look what happens here. We are riding on the upper Bollinger Band for over than 20 candles without retracing down. RSI above 80 gives a sign that we are in an overbought condition. This is for me the sign to go lower and look for the signs of a turnaround. Remember the false breakouts I was presenting before? So here we are, a false breakout. Once again, you can see this is identified for me by my indicator, Automatic Scan False Break and Convergence. You can find all the information about this indicator below this video in the description. It's called False Break and Convergence Indicator. And the other 2 indicators that I use here, the Volume Profile and my Virtual Trading Pen, are available for you for free. With the links below in the description. So I got a false breakout, fake high with a bearish divergence. We can see higher highs on the chart versus lower highs on the indicator. The next step is this low. Once we break, that's what we want to trade. Remember this? Here we are. So we want to break there, pull back to retest, and we want to see further continuation. And look at the volumes from the higher time frame. They identify my final target, and here we are. This is our target. So once again, we go to the lower time frame and check this flip I was talking about—the break, the retest, and the rest is history. So this is. One of what I consider to be, uh, most powerful trading techniques I use with very straightforward, uh, steps. Key level from the higher time frame with verification on lower time frame and on the next lower time frame in the sequence, looking for the signs that the trend changes. And how does the trend change? When you see sequence of higher highs, higher lows, and this sequence is broken and you don't have any more higher highs, higher lows, you have lower lows, for example, this is a first sign of the potential turnaround and the trend change. I invite you once again to our Traders Academy Club, our trading family, and to learn all the trading techniques I apply. This was of course only one of them.
