Three SIMPLE STEPS - MACD Trading Strategy To Trade Forex

Vladimir Ribakov walks through a three-step MACD strategy for forex trading: find a key support or resistance level, confirm bearish divergence across daily, 4-hour, and 1-hour charts, then look for a false breakout on the lowest timeframe. He demonstrates with a real USD/CHF trade that hit its Fibonacci target.

Hello traders, Vladimir here from Traders Academy Club, and in this video I would like to present you a 3-step simple MACD-based forex trading strategy. It's not only for forex, but the example I will use would be in the forex market. This is one of the strategies I personally use, and the presentation will be based on one trade I shared in Traders Academy Club with our members, and I'll show you exactly how it's done step by step. But right before I do that, if you are new to this channel, first of all, welcome to our fantastic community. I would like to invite you to subscribe to this channel. Please follow the subscribe button below the video and remember to enable the notifications so you know when I upload a new video for you. And also, I would like to invite you to join us in our trading family, the Traders Academy Club, and follow our real-time trading ideas and real-time trading education. To do so, just follow the link below the video in the description or in the pinned comment inside the comment section. So I would like to take a trade that I shared directly in Traders Academy Club. You can see this is our channel where I share the trading ideas in real time and explain real time how everything is done and based on what and what techniques and strategies this trade is taken. And the trade I refer to would be this one. Now, to be fully transparent, and that's the beautiful part of all that, this trade was shared with me thanks to Etienne, one of the members of Traders Academy Club, and with big honor I say one of my students I worked with one-on-one. And that's the beauty of all this. Well, from my point of view, I build up success stories and they share with me trading ideas. Some of these things I don't pay attention to, and that's the beauty of the community, the group together. We share with each other, ideas come, I post it real time as a trading opportunity, and we all enjoy from that. So at the end, if you do watch this video, thank you very much for that. So I'll take this dollar franc idea that was shared on 30th of September 2021. It was a live video, as you can see. I also credited Etienne here, and I would like to explain that, uh, here. So this is our trading journal, by the way, okay? That's where all the trading ideas come from, um, and track recorded, okay? So the Um, if you are new to this channel and you don't know how I publish, uh, in my club, in Traders Academy Club, so the ideas delivered real time to the members in our channel. This is our trading journal where you can simply track record and follow everything for every single step on the updated, uh, scenarios and situations and see what's active, what's closed, what's updated. Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. We can see here all our work track recorded. So this was the original idea, and I want to explain what stands behind it with this result in it. So why did we at all go for a sell trade here? And I want to explain the three steps. So the first, let's take this dollar franc and put it on the chart. Okay, so the first step for us is always to find a key level, and for me it was this very high. Now I use my, uh, um, because this is a repeating question, how do I draw on my chart? So this is a virtual trading pen I created, and if you want to take a look how it works and get your own copy, then right now on the right, uh, top corner of this video you can find the link to that, or just follow in the pinned comment or in the description as well. Uh, this is our own built, um, trading tool. So I am looking at this high here simply because at the moment it flipped from the pattern of the bullish trend we've had, right, and making higher highs. From here we flipped and making lower lows, and this right here is the first time that this high came to be retested. So this becomes a key zone for me. And now comes the MACD part. So I am looking on 3 time frames followed by MACD. What I see is 2 big waves come on the daily chart with a moving average divergence on the MACD. I go to the lower time frame on the 4-hour chart and on the most recent trending structure. I see the same exactly. Okay, between these 2 highs, higher highs on the chart, lower highs on the MACD moving average. This becomes another bearish divergence. And besides that, I'm going to the lower time frame, the 1-hour chart. And this is where the original trading idea came from. And this is what we see, another divergence. So Step number 1, identify key level. That could be, uh, um, strong support and resistance. That could be a cycle zone, a round number, a trend line, a Fibonacci level, or any other sort of ways you identify key trading levels. For me, key trading levels are based on 2 factors: cycles and swing highs, swing lows from the higher time frame when they come for a retest and the cycle completes there. Now in this example specifically, I'll present it very shortly as I just do, but if you want to dig deeper and learn all these techniques, how I do them in real time, I invite you to join us in Traders Academy Club because that's exactly what I do there. I share these things over and over in real time with all my trading ideas that I share with the members. So the first step, we identify the level. The second step for us is the 3 multi-timeframes, 3 following multi-timeframes. It's very important because I will— you'll not see me working like identifying a level on the weekly chart and then on the 5-minute saying, oh, there is an opportunity. No, it has to be 3 following timeframes with at least 4 times Distance between them. So like one hour and thirty minutes would not work, right? So as we as we saw in this example, we identified the level. We got the daily four hour and one hour divergence comes in play, and the third step of the strategy is the flip over. What does that mean? Once we have the structure of the higher highs, higher lows, okay, I'm looking for a fake. high fake breakout and lower lows. So the failure of the higher highs to be created and then lower lows. So this is the first indication that this trend might be over. I just mentioned indication. Why did I do so? Because as much as I love indicators, indicators' purpose is to indicate the price. The way I showed you the strategy That's how it has to behave in order to give you stronger indication, not just on the indicators, how it all looks like. And when the bears stepping in, right? If from higher highs we start to see lower lows and then following lower highs, this is indication that potentially the bears are the ones that take the control. So for us, this was the analysis behind it. And this is where the trade came in play. Okay, so we got the flip, and this is the exact situation you can see now. You can see, uh, I, I use personally my own built indicators here. This is the indicator that finds the false break and the divergence for me. And again, this is my personal indicators. If you want to look how they, um, how they work and get your copy, then below in the description or in the pinned comment, you would find the, um, link, the direct link to my marketplace. And in this marketplace, I develop and I sell these trading solutions. So you can take that and use that in the same way I do it. And again, if you want to take it one step— actually, not one, many steps further— and learn how to do that and how to implement these trading techniques, both for analysis and for strategy, in your trading Just join us in Traders Academy Club. And as I said before, the link is below in the description or the pinned comment. So we got this opportunity for us. That was an easy call for a sell. And once again, Etienne, thank you for sharing this idea. I totally loved it. That's why I shared it with Traders Academy Club members. And as long as this high holds, this becomes the invalidation area for us. As long as it holds, we are after the sells. And our target, as you can see here, was The zone of the Fibonacci, the 38 to Fibonacci, and this key trading volume down to 50. That's where we wanted the price to drop, and we got that moving all the way down here. The beautiful part of such strategy is that usually if you do all these steps— identify key level, multi-timeframe MACD sign divergence. And you are looking for flip on the lower time frame, and many times you will get here great risk-reward opportunity. And that could be 1 to 2 risk-reward, that could be 1 to 5 risk-reward in time, and sometimes even more. And when the market makes the movement, you get paid, and you get paid big. So once again, um, it's just from my point of view, of course it comes with the practice It's a 3-step MACD trading strategy where the divergence recognition and the ability to read the price when it flips and changes the trends from highs to lows and/or lows to highs with a multi-timeframe analysis right on a key level. That's the way I trade. That's, um, probably my number one, uh, implemented trading strategy. That's what you would see me do day after day, week after week, month after month in Traders Academy Club. Sharing real-time trading ideas, and as I showed you, this is directly from our channel with a real-time video published, real-time trading opportunity, and you also got it in the trading journal, of course, as I showed you here.
