Having a career as an artist is like many, many full-time jobs. You have the full-time job of creating music, you've got the full-time job of marketing and promoting it, you've got the full-time job of creating content, and you've got the full-time job of interacting with your fan base. But building community is an awesome way to also keep track of your fan base. You all heard how many uploads there are weekly. It's not easy to do it right away because it's very difficult to get somebody to join a text list or an email list when they don't know who you are and they're not familiar with your music. But it's one of the things that we try to do as quickly as possible. Nobody can take your community away from you. It's a place where like-minded people can join. They have something in common— you as the artist and your music. It's a great place for you to really interact with your fans. And this is in addition to building your social media.
