An artist manager is the glue holding together attorneys, booking agents, labels, and business managers. They hire staff, make sure everyone's aligned, and keep the artist's business moving with their music. It's part babysitter, part general manager.
What does a manager do all day, every day? Like what, what is your job description?
There's two ways. I, I, one I would say is glorified babysitting. The other I would say is you're basically like the general manager to a team. So you're the one making sure that all the parts are going together. You know what I mean? You're the one that interacts with everything representing for the team and for the artist. You know what I mean? So I would say it's more than a coach because you're also in charge of, of the hiring. Not the actual hiring, but you're also a part of the process of who has to be hired. And you interact with those people every day, from the attorney to the booking agent to the label to the business managers to everybody. So it's your job, I feel, is to kind of be the glue and to help get the vision for the artist out and make sure that their business is aligned with what their musical vision is.
Got it. Is it their vision or your vision or a combined vision that you're following?
