Hey guys, thanks for tuning in. Um, as you requested, I put together a list for rap blogs and media websites. Basically, the list consists of over 700 contacts for urban blogs. Um, there's over 600 email addresses in the list. It consists of the name of the blog, the blogger's name, their website, where they're located, the person's title, um, what else is in there, their email address, and, um, their preference for submission, how you should submit your information, whether it's music or an event or a book or production, whatever, whatever you have that you're trying to get press on. Um, one word of advice: I know that most of you are going to look at this list, you're going to see the email addresses, and you're going to have this amazing urge to just load those email addresses into your email or into an email program like a MailChimp or a, um, Mad Mimi or Constant Contact. Resist that urge. Don't do it. It doesn't work. I've tried it. It does not work. I've spoken to different publicists in our industry, and their suggestion is if you're going to do this yourself, to send emails to the contacts one at a time, build a relationship with them, reach out to them, let them know who you are, send them a link to your music, you know, like on SoundCloud or AudioMac, wherever, wherever you have your music streaming. Do not send them MP3s. Do not attach files to the emails. A lot of them don't get opened. Even the premier publicists in the urban music industry, even they send out their emails one by one. In fact, what you may want to do is go to the, to the website or the blog that you're trying to get attention from and read some of the articles on there. You know, get to know who the writers are. Get to know who's writing about whatever it is that you're trying to get written about. In other words, if you're a street rapper, don't send your music to a journalist who doesn't like street music, you know, that only likes, you know, the, the more backpack type rap, and vice versa. So do a little bit of research, learn who's who at the blogs, um, and then utilize this list to add um, value to what you're doing. It'll tell you how to upload, where they're located. You can go in— has their Twitter addresses as well. You can go in, follow them on Twitter, get to know who they are, learn a little bit about them, strike up a conversation, maybe even comment on an article that they wrote that you like a lot. Um, but build a relationship first. Don't just spam somebody with your music. It does not work. It's never worked, and it's not going to work for you. I I promise you will not be the one. But anyway, I put together the list. You guys requested it. It is the, um, RAP blog and, uh, website, the, the media contact list, and it's right here at rap-resources.com. Good luck, keep up the great work. Peace.
