A business owner explains why underpricing is a mistake: when you present your price with confidence, clients believe in your value. Doubt about your own worth invites cheap negotiations.
If you could give your younger self one business lesson, what would it be?
I feel like one would be to not underprice your services, and you have to believe in what you're doing and what you're charging for before anybody else will. So if you already come at it like it's too expensive, you're kind of inviting people to be cheap with you, you know? So if you're like, oh, I'm not sure if I'm charging too much, they're gonna be like, of course you are. But if you already come with it, it's like, yes, this is our price, this is what we charge, you know? and that's it, people respond way better to that. So I think kind of having that confidence in your price and knowing your worth in the business is super important.
