A lawn care owner weighs whether to run one-person or two-person trucks. Two-person crews cost more upfront, around $25,000 to $30,000 per truck with equipment, but they keep expensive rigs from sitting idle when someone calls off.

We have P4P implemented, we have the software where implemented through Copilot. So all that set up correctly and properly. Question is more but should we try to change sort of our business model to fit more of the one man truck or should we just keep continuing to try to raise our prices higher to make the two man truck make sense?
I don't think it makes sense to outfit each truck with one person because of asset utilization. We buy used trucks, so that's 15,000. If you guys have a zero turn, I mean that's probably going to be anywhere from like 3, 3 to 7,000 on top of that. So you're looking at like 22. Then you put the wrap on the truck and all the other equipment and stuff and the ramp rack. I mean you're looking at like an almost 25, $30,000 rig set up to go and run that route. For asset utilization, it's imperative that we put two people in each truck when possible. The reason why I don't think also makes sense is because the second somebody calls off, you're going to have a $30,000 rig sitting in the parking lot making no money. You know, they're sick, somebody's injured, somebody goes on vacation. I mean our main location this year had like nine employees. I mean there's somebody calling off, right? So from an asset utilization standpoint, I don't think it really makes sense.
