If you want to make sure that you are minimizing your wedding regrets, one, please bear in mind it's not the best day of your life. And so entering into this day with that perspective hopefully should give you a more peaceful perspective over the entire thing. We cannot have all of our hopes and expectations and dreams lie on one day when humans are running it. Two, give yourself plenty of time to plan and make decisions. Segue into the next point: make sure you get professional input. You're not the cheapest vendor that you're going to get for your wedding day, and with good reason, especially those of us that have been in the industry. We know the nuance, we know the white glove details, and we know those extra steps that you can take to really curate an impeccable wedding experience for someone. If you're planning this without any sort of professional guidance, input, uh, resources, and all you're turning to is TikTok and Pinterest and hoping to squish together enough information to try to make this work, like, yes, that's inherently going to be very stressful. You should ideally be working through your priorities and work through a list of things that are important to you that you can physically write down and then either digitally hand that to your wedding vendors or at least have that for reference for yourself so you can advocate as you go. And lastly, wedding planning is not going to make you a new person. Just please recognize what you already love, what you're already good at, and then either bring in professionals or family members and friends to fill in the gaps of what you would like to see done. Be organized, seek professional input, write things down, and know yourself. You got this!
