Your venue cost just for the venue itself, no rentals, nothing else, should be about 19-20% of your budget. So we have 19% dedicated to your venue. If you want to hire a wedding coordinator, that shouldn't be more than 5% of your budget, or you're going to have to figure out a way to move money around to make that work. Catering should be about 15%, and drinks and desserts should be about 3% respectively. And then rentals should be about 5% of your budget as well. So you can see if you have catering, drinks, desserts, and rentals included in your venue cost, that brings it to about 45% of your overall budget. Photo, video, and florals should be about 9% of your overall budget. DJ or music should be about 4%. So that could mean actually hiring a DJ that comes with their own set of speakers, puts together playlists for you, etc. Apparel should be about 5% for both you and your fiancé. And then hair and makeup I have listed at 1%. And last but not least, one of the most important parts of your budget is the miscellaneous category, which is 10% of your overall budget.
