This is a YouTube video titled "Why Private Vows Might Be the Best Part of Your Wedding Day" containing a monologue or single-speaker discussion recorded in mid-2025. The speaker offers advice on handling private wedding vows and managing family expectations around them.
If you're in a situation where you are like, we want to do private vows, but we also don't want to be called out on not doing vows. You could always do scripted vows for your actual ceremony and do your private vows just on your own. But then again, most people are not gonna care. Now, of course, I don't know your family. I don't know your life. I don't know your business. So you might get a handful of people that come up to you afterwards, but in my opinion, just don't broadcast it, and it'll be far less of a problem than if you start telling everybody ahead of time.
