Viral Brother CALLS OUT Makeup Artist | Wedding Planner REACTS

In this 12‑minute YouTube reaction, wedding planner Jamie Wolfer responds to a viral TikTok clip where Billy, a brother, publicly calls out makeup artist Alexis Lovett for canceling on his sister Catherine a month before her destination wedding in Montana. Jamie walks through the situation, dissecting the contract that was signed, the deposit clause, and the request for additional travel and lodging fees. She critiques the makeup artist’s financial planning, emphasizes the importance of cancellation insurance, and suggests contract language that could prevent similar disputes. The video then features a lengthy response from Alexis, who explains her personal circumstances, defends her reputation as a single‑mom professional, and shares her faith‑based perspective. Jamie and Alexis exchange viewpoints on accountability, boundaries, and industry ethics, while Jamie offers practical advice to brides and vendors about budgeting, insurance, and handling last‑minute cancellations. The dialogue also touches on community reactions, the temptation to “raid” comments, and the emotional toll on both parties.

Did you see it? Did you— did you see it? Did you see—
did you see it?
Okay.
Brother goes viral for calling out a makeup artist for canceling on his sister, the bride, a month before her event. Um, I have so many thoughts and feelings. Okay, okay.
So my sister's makeup artist canceled a month before her wedding. This Miss Alexis is the one she had booked.
Putting her on blast Already with the screenshot of her profile. Okay.
And to give you a brief synopsis on the situation, she sent her a message saying, hey Catherine, I have some unfortunate news and I'm so sorry to deliver this a month before your wedding, but our Montana bride the weekend before just let us know she has to cancel her wedding. So it really leaves me in a pickle. This led to her basically asking Catherine to cover her travel expenses Asking for more money, even though a contract right here was signed. And in that contract, it even states how if there is a cancellation of any kind, basically she'll keep the deposit. So I'm just wondering, why was that deposit not put towards, you know, the travel expenses for my sister's wedding?
Also, also, also, did you see the— did you see the video that I did on contracts? If you didn't, I'm going to link it right up here. Don't go watch it yet. Or do whatever. I'm not your mom. But this is something that's super important to read in your contract. Can she keep the deposit if she herself cancels? Because that doesn't seem very fair, and this would be an excellent opportunity for cancellation insurance. But also, this is wild. Why are you canceling on an out-of-town bride because another bride canceled? My assumption here is that the makeup artist was trying to double dip and do 2 brides back to back, or like back to back weekends in Montana, and then stay the days in between. And it sounds like the first bride canceled, but this is not the second bride's problem. This is not Catherine's problem that the makeup artist didn't account for that. Plus, if the first wedding was canceled— wait, if the first wedding was canceled, then she still has the money from that first wedding. To fly to Montana and to at least stay for a handful of nights, so she could take the travel fee from the first wedding and apply it to the travel fee for the second wedding. Unless she gave all the money back because she felt bad, but that's then on her because if the bride from weekend number one—Are you following the bouncing ball on this one? Okay. Hi, my name is Jamie Wolford, by the way. I'm your online wedding planner. If you're following the bouncing ball, the first weekend bride cancels. The second weekend bride is the sister of this guy. If the first weekend bride cancels her whole wedding, the whole wedding's off for whatever reason. The makeup artist could presumably preserve. Reserve or save that travel fee, that those monies that the bride paid her or her deposit to then apply towards the second weekend to Katherine's weekend. And also, if you are so strapped as a business that you can't float one time of travel, like one round trip of travel, I think you're doing your numbers incorrectly. Anyways, we're only like a minute into his video and I already have so many thoughts.
A long story short, my sister basically could not meet the terms of sending her additional money because she was already over budget for her wedding. So lo and behold, Miss Alexis is indeed in Montana.
We are currently in Pray, Montana.
For that wedding, which appears wasn't canceled at all. And if it was put back on, my sister wasn't notified, which has left my sister still scrambling for a makeup artist. So I'm kindly asking y'all, please just leave this young lady a comment asking if she's going to make things right. I'm only posting this to my story right now. However, I don't really have much hope that she's gonna do anything at all other than continue to hide comments or maybe delete 'em or maybe block me. Yep, she blocked me. I already intend to potentially blast dozens of trial reels if I have to and post a reel on my page, basically going deep detail the entire situation pertaining to this because this is my sister. I love her to death and I hate to see her distraught like she is right now. So I appreciate y'all for taking time to watch this.
So I don't love the sic 'em in the comments approach, but I do understand where Billy's coming from with this. I love that he's coming to bat for his sister. Like, that's sweet. That's so sweet. I don't know personally if I would have sent them to the makeup artist directly. Sorry, I have a plant here. Okay, stop. Freeze. To leave comments. I just don't know if I would have done that. In fact, no, I probably would go out of my way to say don't do that. That's not my style. Okay. But you know, to each his own, to each his own. What would you, what would you do in the comments?
Okay.
Like I want you to go off in the comments here. Okay. What would you have done in this scenario? Would you be the type of person that raids the makeup artist comments or not? I probably wouldn't. I probably wouldn't. Okay. But don't you fret. We have a juicy 12-minute response from the makeup artist herself. I just hope that we can hear it. Okay. I did start to listen to a snippet of this and when we get into this, I think that some people— we're gonna, we're gonna take an aside right now. I think some people speak quietly. Okay, this is just, just a theory. This is not all people who speak quietly, but some you can tell when they're overly emotional or they're trying to almost control the situation by speaking more quietly so you pay more attention to what they're saying. I feel like this is one of those instances. Also, the little bit of vocal fry feels a little purposeful to sound more emotional. Am I reading into this too much? I don't know. Let me know in the comments, because what do you mean you Cancel on a bride and then you're in Montana days before. What do you mean? What do you mean? It could not have been that much more money. If you do not have a couple thousand dollars sitting in your business account to float you in scenarios like this, that's that's that's a problem. So I get where Billy is coming from. It does it does sound and look like this makeup artist either did not plan her finances out well enough, which is probably very accurate, and or is trying to. Scam more money out of Catherine, the second weekend bride, because she didn't plan it out well enough. But it still makes no sense to me because she was going to travel there anyways. And she okay, okay. So why couldn't we have just used those funds?
I'm shaking. This doesn't even feel like real life.
What?
I've cried all the tears I think I can cry.
Why are we whispering? What are we doing? What's going on? It's so quiet. I'm gonna have to have my editor turn this up in post because I— okay, great, let's tune back in. Also, the long pause at the beginning. I'm sorry, everything about this within the first 9 seconds is giving me the ick.
Cry. Um, there's probably still some in there. Oh, there's still some tears in there. Um, I'm clearly not in Montana anymore. Back home in good old Alabama. I want to address Billy first, but I mainly want to talk to my current and future brides. Um, Billy said in his comment to his class, um, that he thinks that I was still staying in Montana for the week and that he thinks that I was just asking the bride For more money for flights and lodging, just to get more money from her. To the class?
Do you mean his social media following? Okay. And yeah, honey, that is how that looks. But it could be more money for expenses. But it just doesn't— it doesn't look good. This is your fault. Sorry. Sorry. Okay. We have a lot more to go.
Like I'm a scammer. And that's not true. I still was no longer staying for the week. His sister— I did come to Montana. His sister asked why, when I knew I was coming to Montana, didn't I message Catherine? Um, and the reason why was because from the very beginning, Catherine knew this as well, that I was staying for the week, and that is why I was not charging her for lodging and traveling.
What?
I don't ever not charge for lodging and traveling for a destination wedding.
So what did we learn? Because here's what we could do. Here's what we could do. We could write on both of the contracts, hey, I will charge you a travel fee, but if both of these weddings end up working out, I will refund that money to you. Like, I don't need to charge you both for a travel fee, or I could split the week and give you both a cost savings. Like, each of you pays for one flight and half of the week. There are ways that you can do this that doesn't leave you in a bind like this. Please get cancellation insurance, people.
This was very situational. Um, when circumstances changed, um, I asked Catherine to pay for flights and lodging, and she said it was not in her budget, and which is totally understandable. It's not in my budget either. Okay, um, well, that's on you. Trust me, if it was, I would be there. I'm a mom. I'm a mom of 4, which— and 2 bonus. Um, our kids are starting school, and right now it's just not feasible. Um, when I said something about $3,000 to Catherine, I did not mean that it was going to cost her $3,000. What I meant was if I were to pay to stay for the week, It was going to at least be just for lodging cost me three thousand dollars. The mountains are expensive. What?
What? Okay, I'm I'm gonna hold please. Wait, I don't know where. Oh, it was Prey. It was Prey Montana. Hold on. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. We're doing this right now. Prey Montana vacation rentals. Okay, a whole week. So let's say September eleventh through September twentieth. Okay. Oh, that first one's really expensive. Okay. Okay. Okay. So so so so so so so here's a place. Old farmhouse in three bedrooms, four bath. For $1,455. Okay, here's another location for $1,080. Here's another location for $2,600. Okay, here's another location for $7,500. I'm sure, like, obviously location matters, but I see feasible prices that are not going to be $3,000. The first one was $5,500, second one's $2,000, basically $2,400. So there is a price range. Listen, I am putting on my Nancy Drew hat. She doesn't have that. Does she have that? I don't recall, man. I haven't read Nancy Drew in forever. It's feasible. But now I actually— come on, I'm gonna go back Real quick. All right, so I went back to the email. Um, unfortunate news, but Tana bride canceled, so that really leaves me in a pickle. Flights were not yet booked, so unfortunately in order for me to come to your wedding, I would now need flights and lodging. I did go ahead and look them up and it was $480 for flights. Again, I'm so sorry. It's extremely rare for a bride to have to cancel. It never crossed my mind of it happening when booking you. Okay, I do hear where she's coming from, but she needs to eat this. She needs to eat this, or she needs to take that deposit and send it back to the bride and help her find a new makeup artist. You made a mistake. Own up to it. Be a big girl. Put your big girl pants on and help this bride find somebody. And then if you were already there in Montana, contact her ahead of time and say, "Hey, I actually can still get to the state. I just might need help with lodging for while I'm there. Can you help?" Because you're still flying there and flying back. This is the part I don't understand, but I don't see any anything about the three thousand dollars. Alexis Lovett's not looking good.
Mountains are expensive. I could return back to Montana. I mean, I'm from Alabama.
You might have to drive a little bit, but they're not that expensive. And since you're the one who screwed up, boo bear, you can drive.
I could return back to Montana for the weekend if Catherine was able to pay for my flights and lodging.
But how would it cost? You're already there. Why? My brain is breaking. Why are we talking about it like this? You were already there. She could have paid for a couple nights and you already paid for a flight there and a flight home. Make it make sense.
I didn't even ask anything about a rental car. I was just going to do that myself.
Oh, good. Sorry.
Um, and again, it wasn't in her budget, but unfortunately it wasn't in mine either. Um, Billy was right in what he said that, you know, no, even though the circumstances changed, that was not Catherine's responsibility because we had a contract. I agree with him. However, I can't afford to go back to Montana. But you were already there! On Thursday to do her rehearsal on Friday, do her wedding on Saturday, and then come back home. I can't afford to pay for round-trip flights and my lodging for those 3 days.
You said $3,000 for a week and now it's only 3 days? You can't even keep your story straight. I understand you're probably stressed, but this is not adding up, boo bear. I— it's not.
And a rental car. Not right now. Um, due to real life, real life stuff. You know, I'm not a young— a lot of makeup artists are, you know, young girls who, um, the really popular ones anyways, that I feel like gives a platform for makeup artistry.
What?
Um, in the social media world. They're, you know, young and they have a lot more— a lot less responsibilities and a lot more freedom. That I don't have.
It's not responsibilities and freedom. It's running your contract correctly. It's having enough money in your business account and not draining it dry. You need to have— if you are a couple watching this, please get cancellation insurance. I'm going to link Brightco right up there. This is the kind of stuff that I'm talking about. It's not a regulated industry, okay? And even a good contract is not going to save you in a scenario like this. You are a whole adult. A whole adult. How do you not have money set aside? I mean, like, I've been there as a business owner, but I prefer to have a couple thousand dollars Always sitting in an account. Like, I hate, I hate not having several thousand dollars set aside, which is a very privileged thing for me to say. I'm aware of it. But if you're in business, you have to anticipate stuff like this. This is not just a preference. This is, this is prudence. Okay? Not a preference. It's prudence. You like my alliteration there?
Thank you. Um, I started this career as a single mom and, um, I've spent 11 years building it successfully. My reputation has always preceded me. Um, I have sacrificed so much to build this career. I have never— I have never no-showed a bride. I truly believe with my entire heart that those comments are troll accounts or people that just love to see me fall.
I don't think they'd love to see you fall. I think they want accountability. I love that you built this from the ground up as a single mom. I get working in the industry for over a decade There's a lot going on here. Like this is this is damaging, and this is why I personally would not sick everyone to her comments to like be leaving all these messages. And and I get where she's coming from. Both things can be true at the same time. She never no showed a bride until now, and unfortunately she did it in such an egregious way that the brother was so motivated to make a video that it went so viral that you finally get called out in this way. And instead of leading with this like. You're right, I was wrong. It's, it's giving, um, excusey. So I get being in the industry for 10+ years. I understand that. And I'm so sorry that this is what you're going through. This is, this is icky to the 10th degree. And, and owning up stuff when we screw up is really hard. I'm not hearing that yet. And I don't think other women who are young in the industry have anything to do with this. I think that maybe because they have less responsibility that you think that they like— no, I think they just run their books better.
I've never done that, and I would never do that.
But you did.
You know who I've no-showed is my children. That's who I've no-showed.
Okay.
I've never made it to a soccer game. I've never made it to my son's track meets, um, unless they're on school days, like school days, like during the week, because all of my weekends go to my brides. I've missed So many, so many important events. Last year my husband was literally dying and I still— I left the hospital. I had not showered or anything and went and did a wedding and they put him in ICU literally while I was at the wedding.
This is a really hard career. It's a really hard career because you do give up weekends. But it sounds to me like she has boundary issues. If this is something that is paining her so greatly, she either needs to build out a team or start charging more for her services. So she doesn't have to work every weekend. Like, if you've been in this industry for 11 years, you are well within your rights, and you probably are well within your skill set to have a decent price tag attached to what you do. I mean, not if you're going to do this to brides. Like, I get that you previously haven't no-showed, but this time you did, and this time it matters, and this time it went viral. So we need to own that differently. But if your husband is dying in the hospital, that's when you— that's when you call a bride and say, I can't make it. But even especially even if you are going to leave your husband in the hospital, even if this is You know, full and true and we're accepting it at face value. You maybe shower first, maybe do that, maybe so you don't show up looking like a wreck on someone's wedding day. It's just, it's not giving the excuse that you think it's giving. To me, it sounds like you need a better work-life balance, which I personally think is a myth because I think it just like, it ebbs and flows over different seasons. But you need boundaries and you're being the victim of your lack of them, and your bride suffered because of it. Stay.
I always show up for my brides. Until this one. Um, the older I get, the more I sit with regret. When you get older, you realize like what matters, you know? And, um, you realize how fast it goes by, that your kids grow. And, um, I'm so sorry, I'm trying not to cry. And, um, I have sacrificed so many of— God, I've sacrificed so much. My kids are such great soccer players, and I've never seen them unless it's a random weekday that they have a game.
We choose our hard. We choose our hard. I get to homeschool my kids. I am with them. There is a fly in here, and I'm trying to be tender. You okay? I get to be with them. I get the beautiful opportunity to be with them every single day, which has its upsides and its downsides. Let me tell you, but I choose my hard. My hard is homeschooling my kids while doing this as a job. My hard is homeschooling my kids while writing a book while pregnant with my fifth child. Speaking of which, if you have not clicked pre-order on the master planner, I'm gonna go ahead and link it. I hate how much this screws with my white balance, but look it! Isn't she gorgeous? Oh, I love her so much! It's the best wedding planner you're ever gonna use because it's not just a bunch of blank spreadsheets and stuff for you to fill in, but actually teaches you how to plan your wedding so you can make empowered and educated choices. Okay, I will put the U.S. Amazon pre-order link up in the corner and then all the other. The link's going to be down below. I chose my hard during the hardest pregnancy of my life. Literally, the due date for this book was within 14 days of the due date of my baby. We pick our hard, okay? And you chose yours. And I'm so sorry that you missed soccer games, especially if your, your kids are so good at it. Like, I hear where you're coming from. This is the hard you chose. You still did wrong by a bride. And this is not sounding like ownership. This is sounding like blaming on life circumstances, when in actuality it's your lack of boundaries that you're being the This is none of anybody's business.
I'm just sharing it to tell you guys, like, I've never not been there for you guys. Never.
Until now. I'm sorry.
Current brides and future brides, um, God, I'm an ugly crier. Um, I'm so sorry that this raises concern for you guys, but you have my word and you have my heart. You guys have always had my heart. I'm bad. You have nothing to worry about. I have had a bride cancel, just one so far. I've had three text me with concerns, but they were so kind. You guys don't have anything to worry about. I promise you.
But here's the thing, I think they do. I think they do. This— gosh, this is why cancellation insurance is so important, because you just don't know. And once that seed of doubt has been planted, if you don't have coverage, you can get screwed like Catherine got screwed. This doesn't make any sense. The, the makeup artist should still show up. She should run her business better where there's more finances in there. But hey, I, I get it, especially if she's got 6 kids. 4 plus 2 bonus. Like, that's a lot of children.
I've got 5.
I get it. I understand. Um, you're not gonna catch me out here asking a bride to cover travel fees that I already told her I would cover or were covered by another client. First of all, you're not going to catch me handling business like this, period. All right, second of all, you're not going to catch me asking the bride for, let's see, $3,000 for lodging for 3 nights, as you said, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, because you can come in Thursday and leave Sunday. Um, $3,000. For those nights and $480 for the flights, and then you just comp the rental. So we're talking what with tax and maybe fees? $3,500 for travel. That's what you're going to charge to a bride because you screwed up.
No. For the personal comments in Billy's video, I haven't always been a child of God. I've been a villain in people's stories. Stories, as we all have at some point in our lives. Those comments have nothing to do with anything, and shame on those people for some of them were such a lie. And I wish that sometimes I wish that I wasn't so kind, but I do not believe in eye for an eye. I will never. Believe in being an eye for an eye girl. I believe in God so deeply. You guys have made fun of me so much. I've even gotten request forms on our website of people making fun of me and God, me being like a Jesus girl. And I don't care. I'm so rooted in him. I know that this is a spiritual attack. At one point I felt so— I've had like— I felt so bad. I'm such a people pleaser.
As a fellow Jesus girly, this is not giving the vibe that you, that you think it's giving. And I understand that it sounds like this depth of faith is new to you, and that's great. I don't see what that reasoning has to do with this at all. I do see that God permeates everything in your life, yeah, but like What are we— what are we saying with this? That there were nasty comments and you're not replying to them? Okay, great. Good on you. But this feels like I'm just trying to be a good girl and everyone's mad at me. That's how this reads. Instead of I know I screwed up, I don't even know why the video is this long. We're providing a lot of context and a lot of reasons and/or excuses to point at instead of just taking ownership.
And I was like, Mom, you know, maybe I should just like pay for, you know, her hair and makeup or with whatever artist But then once I realized how evil these people are, it just no longer felt that way.
How evil what people are? Catherine? Or you're not going to pay for her hair and makeup services because people left— trolls left mean comments? This is not giving the excuse that you think it is. And this is not spiritual warfare. This is accountability. And people might be doing it wrong and they may be saying it wrong, but this is not— or I, you know what, actually, I can't claim that's not spiritual warfare because you're feeling what you're feeling. Okay, this is your life, this is your brain, this is your faith. But I do see that there is prudence in what some people are saying. And so to say that I thought I was going to pay for all of her services to be done. Great. Good. You didn't even have to do that. Just find her a new artist. Just find someone for her because she's still scrambling. But instead you're saying, well, I was going to pay for it, but then the comments were really mean and evil because it's, it's sounding like you're saying Catherine was evil. So that's why you're not paying for it. Even though earlier you said she's she did nothing wrong, but only because I think contextually you're not wording your sentences correctly. But it it does read as though it's Catherine's fault that you're not paying, as opposed to it's the people in the comments.
This has all been for clout and for followers. Billy was reached out to about how people have been threatening other people's careers. They've been threatening they. Commenting on my daughter's stuff. They went into 2017 of my mom's things. They have been. It has been such an evil attack, and this has gone so far. Some people would comment things that had nothing to do with the whole wedding situation. Billy would say, "Ooh, DM me." That's also how I knew this. At the end of the day, this had nothing to do with Billy's video.
Didn't read like clout chasing for me. I could be wrong, but this is why I definitely don't encourage like, "Hey, go bomb their comments." I don't encourage that. That's that. That doesn't help anybody, guys. We we need to be better. We need to do better. You know who's Comments you need to bomb mine. Get down in because then it tells YouTube that something's happening in this video that's very entertaining and very exciting, and they're like, "Hey, let's send more people Jamie's way." Right? So anytime you bomb the comments, and by bomb I mean just like write something. Okay. My favorite was when people were like, "First." I love this. I don't know why they crack me up. It's so old school YouTube, and it makes me so happy. Or when you tell me your stories. Anyways, I'm getting off track. I'm getting off track. What what are we what what were we even saying? Yeah, like going into her mom's stuff or her daughter's stuff—that's too far. That's too people are—that's too much. But also, I explained my baseline earlier, so of course I'm going to think that's too much. But I think most of us can agree that level is far past where it should be.
At the end of the day, this had nothing to do with trying to make things right for his sister. It was all for following.
Nope, wasn't because it because it worked. Got your attention, didn't it? Especially when you didn't respond and you blocked him.
And and once he was in filled in about that, he said. Well, my video has 7,000 saves. I'm not deleting it. And that's when I knew. And I am so glad that I canceled that wedding.
Those are not my people. What? Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. Just because he had 7,000 saves on that video does not mean he's clout chasing. That's stupid. That means that That means that he's saying there is social proof. There are enough witnesses around this that they are saving this and going, something's going on. Now, he is asking for people to be damaging to her business. That's not what I'm calling for at all. If, in fact, if any of my videos ever inspire you to go leave a comment somewhere, make it a good one. Okay? Because 2 things can be true at one time. All right. All right. However, for you to go as far to say— sorry, I need to back up. As far to say that you are glad you canceled that wedding, this is no longer an apology. Which, by the way, there hasn't been one. There hasn't been one at all. Okay? You've shared a lot of personal stuff. You've shared a lot of insight. You've shared context for your life. You've shared your lack of boundaries. I see that and I hear that and I understand that this is a very difficult industry and no one gets it like someone who works in it. Okay? I do understand that. But now you're saying because her brother said, well, I have 7,000 saves on this video, so So I'm not deleting it. You are now saying, "I'm so glad I canceled on that bride and left her in a lurch." You're grateful you did that. Listen here, child of God. It's not. It's not coming out the way you think it's coming out.
And I know that God is going to bring me my people, people that believe in me.
He's also going to bring you people in your life that will hold you accountable.
Mic drop. I'm not okay. But I'm gonna be okay because this will be for God's glory in the end. God is my defender. And I had the favor of God all of my life. I— my testimony says it. I've never been able to share a lot of my testimony because it involves other people whose lives have changed for the better, and I would never bring up their past again. What does that have to do with this? This testimony is going to be public, and glory be to God. He is a score settler.
Yup.
And although this is all so much and so insane, I also still have joy because of him. I've talked, and if you go to my TikTok, I've talked about other videos about idolizing this And me and God have had so many talks about, like, you know, what if he were to take it all from me? We were praying. Because at one point I did idolize it, and he dealt with me in that. And you— none of you, Billy, all of you being mean to me, you guys are silly if you think that you carry authority to end my career.
Sure.
God has the final say-so. And if my career ends, it will be because there's a lesson to learn in this from— for everyone, and because he has something greater for me on the other side, and I will be okay.
So what lesson did you learn here, Alexis? Because right now it doesn't sound like you learned anything. Right now it sounds like it's everyone else's fault, um, and you're so glad that you're not working with those people. What lesson did you learn?
I'm gonna leave all my social media public. I know I'm still gonna get hate, um, so you guys have at it, but I'm gonna be okay.
That's not an apology. That's not even close. Did she even say the words I'm sorry? I don't, I don't think she did. It's not, it's not even close. I love remembering that 2 things can be true at once. You know, she could probably have a radical faith and a really cool story, and God can carry her through this. I also think that having element of accountability and actually showing remorse for decision-making is important. The details still don't add up. You were already there. You already had round-trip tickets booked. You didn't have to book new ones. You were already there. I get Montana's huge. It could have been in a different part of the state. I get that. But if you're using numbers like $480 for round-trip flights, that means you're probably pricing them from either a small airport to a small airport, right? Or from Alabama back to Montana, but you were already there? Is it that you had to go home for 2, 3 days? You couldn't stay that long. Like if you had pitched to the bride, hey, if you could cover a couple of days for me, I can stay. But you didn't communicate any of this. You also didn't help her find a new artist, which so many professionals in the industry say, if for some reason I can't make it, I will help you find someone new. Okay? I will get a replacement that is the same caliber as me. I will help you do that. Because if you're canceling last minute, first of all, you need to be sending everything back to the bride. You do not get to keep that deposit. That's your choice to cancel this. It's also your choice to run your finances the way that you did. We're not even going to get back into that. I made my point on that pretty clear. But you didn't communicate to her, hey, I'm already here. The trip is cut— like, the round-trip flights are covered. I have a vehicle. I just need lodging covered for the 3 days for your wedding. But we're saying you need $3,000 for the week, but that you're already there, so clearly that, that money was covered somehow. It's— it doesn't make sense. And I do feel as though we're using terms like spiritual Warfare testimony to make it a. I have to watch my language very carefully here because I'm not walking in her shoes and I'm not having her experience. But it feels a little bit like we're focusing on the wrong thing conversationally when this was supposed to be an apology video. Your testimony is great. I'm sure it's fantastic. But you know what would be even better? Radical ownership. Radical ownership. I screwed up. I did not plan my finances correctly. Any other hair makeup artist, take it from me. I was not anticipating this happening. I did not handle this well. Katherine, I'm so sorry. Billy, I think his name's Billy. Billy, you were right to call me out. If you could please have your people stop commenting on stuff, I would really appreciate it. I own it. I messed up. That will speak volumes more than whatever this was. And you know what? Sometimes sister to sister, we need a little accountability and we need a little calling out. And if you've been around this channel long enough, you know that from my early story times, there are plenty of times I did not handle things correctly. In my career because I was learning, because I oopsed, because I didn't know that things could happen that way. You know, there's we go through this learning process, and yes, you've never ghosted anybody until you did. And you know what? You were proud of that because they're not your people. And that's the part I'm calling out. This was not an apology. You were okay with it, and you stated that in your video. There are plenty of opportunities for you to still make it to this event, and and and you didn't, and you didn't, and you didn't help her find a new artist. Y'all get cancellation.
Cancellation insurance.
