This is a short YouTube monologue by creator Worldwide Ty in which SPEAKER A reflects that they have long prioritized finding purpose beyond earning money. The speaker says they can work to make money but that true purpose cannot be driven only by financial motives; this predates learning the phrase "fuck you money."
And what I learned from that experience is before I even knew or thought about what fuck you, money was, what it meant, I've always been like, man, I gotta do things that don't rely. Like, I can't just do things just to make money. Like, I can go work a job to make money, but if I'm gonna find purpose in life, it can't be because I'm doing it to make money.
