So it's about to be a belated birthday present for me. I'm about to open up my book for the first time. I'm nervous, I'm excited, so I wanted to record my reactions of just touching my own book for the first time. This is a project 2 years in the making, you know, thanks to my mom for the idea and the inspiration. Alright, in the name of God, Bismillah. So I ordered from 48 Hour Books thanks to my publishing company. The one that helped me self-publish, for the idea. Man, I need to swear it out from my heart, baby, when that time comes. How is it? Dude, I don't even want to take it out. It's beautifully packaged. Oh my gosh. Oh my God, look at me. Look at me. I'm undercover. Oh, I'm undercover. Oh my gosh, God timing is everything. I've been crying my heart out, like, you know, because it's been delayed after delayed and imposter syndrome and you name it to get Victory Dope. I'm so grateful. I'm so grateful. Oh, I didn't even finish my sentence. Order my book on my website, zaakirahniyar.com/book, to get an autograph. I'm going to autograph this for you. Chapter 9, Getting Out of the Storm. Once my husband arrived, after 9 months of living with my parents, we moved to Murfreesboro, Tennessee. When I tried to apply again for a portrait studio job, I got the runaround. As soon as we moved to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, I was approved for Lyft driving. By this time, I was also preparing for my first ever trip to South Africa. Earlier in the year, I jumped on a flight deal that was less than $500 round trip to travel to the inaugural Essence Festival in Durban, South Africa. It was my second solo trip. I coordinated my flight with other ladies who were part of a Black travel Facebook group called Nomadness. We met up in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban. You gotta buy the book.
