A Muslim entrepreneur breaks down five forbidden habits that block financial success: skipping prayers, wrong company, wasting time, and unholy business practices. The speaker uses personal stories to show how aligning with Islamic principles brings barakah, or blessings, to your money and work.
You can work as hard as you want. You'll never be successful if you're doing just one of these haram habits. And I'm making this video because I tried making money online for so long and it always failed because I was doing something haram. But then I fixed those five habits and lahmabedic blessings started pouring. I literally made 100 grand within my first six months of business after fixing those habits, say Lahmabetic. But that thing works. So this is five haram habits keeping you broke, starting with the first one. So you're probably trying hard. You have a fantastic business idea, you're trying a whole bunch of things. You're, you're putting in your efforts, you're doing everything in your ability to make money. But it's not working. And I know why it's not working. Well, the reason why it's not working is not because of your business idea or the amount of hours you're putting into it. It's because of the first ever thing that happens. Before even you start trying to make money, you need to go back to the roots and you need to understand where does money come from? Who is the one who owns the money you're trying to make and the one who owns it is Allah. So you want to go back and ask yourself, okay, I want to get money. That's what you're trying to do by running a business. So if you're trying to make money, you're trying to take something from Allah. And to illustrate this point, I have a super cool story. Let me talk to you about Ibrahim. Ibrahim, this seven year old kid who loves chocolate. So he can't buy a chocolate for himself. What he does is he asks his mom to buy him chocolate. So she tells him, yeah, I want to buy you chocolate, but you must be a good kid for me to buy a chocolate. A good kid is the kid that makes his bed when he wakes up, that goes to school on time and does well at school. He must also finish his vegetables. When he gets home, he must do his homework and before going to bed, he must brush his teeth. After some time he starts to get tired. He starts to get used to this chocolate bar he's getting every day. And then he goes to his mom, mom, can I have chocolate? And she says, did you complete your five tasks? He says, yeah, yeah, I done them. Here's the proof. I made my bed. Did you do it in the order and on time when I asked you to do it? No, but I still done it. I still did it. And she explains him. Yes, but every kid does that. But good kids do it on time and in the right time. Because my goal is to turn you into a good kid. And a good kid responds to me when I call him, just like a good Muslim response to Allah when he calls him. And this whole point was to explain you that you must pray, but you must pray on time. And that's the most important part. And it's not about just praying five times a day, but it's about praying five times a day on time time. When you see people stacking up their prayers at the end of the day, that is not how it works. You don't pray fajr when you wake up, you don't pray dhuhr when you get back from work, you find a way to make your prayers on time. And if you want a pro tip to never ever pray late again, you must schedule your day around your prayers. You don't schedule your prayers around your day. It's like when I wake up, I pray fajr. And when I get home, I pray dhuhr. Before going to bed, I pray isha. No, you say I wake up to pray fajr. You take a break at work to pray dhuhr. You go to sleep after praying isha. That's how you should arrange your day to make sure you're praying on on time. The tips I'm going to share with you actually works. It's not some online fluff. So make sure you're taking notes because you're never going to see this again. Especially point number four, because I'm exposing a trap that everyone falls into without even realizing it. So if you don't want to prevent your risk from coming to you, make sure you're fixing those five habits inshallah, and you're going to make some money. Okay, so now that you're praying on time and you organize your day around your prayers, you actually neutral level, you stop moving backwards because you were in a complete mess not praying on time, you're just neutral. So if you want to make progress and move forward, you need to surround yourself with the right people. And people say you're the sum of the five people we spend the most time with. That's wrong. It's not your surroundings. It's about your network. The reality is you're the sum of the five people you compare yourself to, not the people you spend the most time with. Because actually I can tell you I spend a lot of time with my family. And no one in my family is rich. So if you want to make money, compare yourself to people who make money. If you surround yourself with the wrong type of people, it's like having three of your wheels that go backwards and you're trying to push forward. You're going to stay in the same position. And by the way, when it comes to your network, staying around people who are bad people will have a bad effect on you. Imagine having bad fruits, frozen fruits, and then you bring a brand new fruit, a brand new apple, and you put it in there. The apple can be as good as you want. At some point it's going to turn out rotten as well. And if you want to surround yourself with good Muslims who want to make money online, join the Halal network. It's completely free. It's the biggest community online for Muslim entrepreneurs. You can join@school.com Islam so now your car was going completely backwards, now you fixed it, it's kind of staying in neutral because half of it is pulling forward, half of it is pulling backwards. You join the good network, everyone is moving forward, but it's moving forward kind of slowly. It's moving forward slowly because you're wasting your time. A lot of time. Not a little bit of time. You're wasting a lot of time. Actually, I could even go and say you're wasting most of your time. So most of the time that your life goes wasted goes on TikTok, then it goes on YouTube, then goes on Twitter, then goes on another social media. And then you get up and you're like, wait, I don't have anything to do with my time. I didn't pray, I didn't do anything. Of course, because you're wasting your time. And before you start attacking me in the comments, I'm not saying every single minute of your day should be productive. What I'm saying is you should not commit excesses. You don't even do what's on you because you're so distracted you fall into sins. Something as simple as just using your phone, which is halal in the first place, becomes something haram because it's preventing you from fulfilling your duty. And one of the tips I'm going to give you is to put your phone in grayscale. You can do this by going to the settings. Changing the color to gray is going to reduce your screen time by more than 30%. It's going to be weird in the beginning, but after a week everything is fine and you'll actually start hating your phone and start enjoying life. Now, just to pause the video for a bit I talked about three points already and those points are self destructing points. If you're trying to run a business, trying to make money and you're doing these bad habits, they are hurting you, so you need to quit them. What is a habit? A habit is a repeated action that has a bad outcome because a good habit is a repeated action that has a good outcome. There are three steps that build a habit. There's a trigger. So something happens. Then you have a behavior. You do something and then you get a reward. You feel good about what you did or you feel bad, depending if it's a good habit or a bad habit. Look at the bad stuff you do. You're going to be watching some haram stuff online. You could be smoking, you could be listening to music, and this is the behavior, you're having sins. And the reward or the outcome in that case is that music makes you feel good, then you know, watching stuff online, you get the point. There's outcomes that are bad. Your behavior is what you want to change. But to change your behavior, you need to change the trigger. You need to go back to the roots and ask yourself, why am I having this behavior? Because in some scenarios, you may think you're addicted to something, but then you change environment and then you're not addicted anymore. So if you listen to music when you're in your car, well, the haram thing is that you're listening to music, but the trigger is that you're in your car. Now the thing is you can either switch the behavior and keep the trigger if you can't change it. So if you need to go drive, then keep your car. But turn on Quran or Anashi when you're in your car so that you're changing the behavior and then it makes you still feel good. You still get the same outcome, but instead of being a bad habit, it's a good habit. So now what I want you to do is look at your life, look at the sins you're doing and you're going to start identifying behaviors. You may be listening to music, you may be back biting people, you may be doing some other haram things. So look at the triggers you're having. When do you listen to music? Do you listen to music when you're alone and bored? Then stop staying alone, stay with your family, go outside, play some sports with your friends, get busy with other things so that you won't have these bad triggers and you won't do this bad behavior and you won't have this bad outcome. Now let's say for example, you're addicted to some haram stuff online. Well, when do you do this? Do you usually do this when you're alone in your room at night? Well, how about you stop using your phone after 6pm? Well, I can guarantee you won't have that behavior anymore because if you don't have access to your phone after 6pm you can't use this because somehow you need your phone. It's fine. Then use your phone in a public room, then sleep in your living room. You're doing it on your laptop. Then go from your laptop to using a full PC, a full screen PC. Buy a big fat screen, put it in the middle of your living room, the screen facing the entire room so everyone can see what you're doing and then use it however you want. I can guarantee you you won't that behavior anymore. So now alhamdulillah, finally your car is moving forward. It's actually going pretty fast. But still somehow you're putting in the work, you're putting on time, you're doing everything you should be doing. You're still not successful. Well, maybe you took the wrong road. Maybe you're running a haram business. So look into it. Does your business have riba? Is your business even halal? Ask student of knowledge. You can go to him and pitch them your business. You'd be surprised on how much they know about business. Alhambrik. There are a bunch of videos you can watch or whoever you follow and check. There are a whole bunch of videos of them breaking down business models. And make sure your business doesn't have anything haram. Your business could be having some riba. Your business could, could be interest based businesses. Maybe you're, you know, selling stuff with interest and then you, you remove your baraka. So maybe making money but you don't feel like your money, you know, is bringing you any benefits. You may also be using some music. Maybe you're posting social media content and you're using music inside. You may be advertising stuff where they see women publicly without, you know, being covered. Those are all haram business practices that you're doing that lead to you not having bada kind of thing you're doing and you want to make sure whatever you're doing is halal. Before even thinking about, you know, scaling a business or doing anything, make sure it's halal. Because the bigger your business, the harder it is to quit. And the more you're digging yourself into it, the harder it'll be to pull yourself out of it. But you need to Understand? Allah Zarajal is doing this to test you. He's the one who owns everything. He's the one who owns all the businesses in the world. And he's just testing you to see if you would give up this haram business that's finally making you money. But it's haram if you would give it up for him to give you even more. Because Allah said that you would never, ever give up something for his sake, and he wouldn't replace it for something better. And I can tell to you about a personal story. I run an influencer marketing agency. We basically help influencers connect with brands, and we take commissions in between. Now, a brand approached me and wanted to work with some of my influencers. They were like, yeah, we have this amazing AI tool. We can generate images, and you can do X, y and Z with it. They had a whole lot of money. They raised money. They had so many investors. They would be a dream client. Now this company happens to generate images of women, images of haram. Things don't want to go in details. Basically, what this tool does is haram. So I would be advertising something haram. I would be involved in something haram, even though I would make insane amounts of money. And at the time, I was not really successful in my marketing agency. So what I did is I declined the offer. I just stopped responding to the messages. I was like, I appreciate it. I just cannot continue forward. I appreciate your time. Goodbye. Just cut it there. And I was like, allah would give me better later. I can guarantee you two weeks. Not even two years, two months, two weeks. After that, I even forgot about the story. I got back, and I got a deal five times more than what the other guys offered me. And this one was halal. And I just waited two weeks. So quit your haram stuff for Allah. He'd give you much better. So now, finally, your stuff is working. Alhamdulillah. You're doing everything perfectly. You're praying on time. You're not doing anything haram. Everything is good. Now you want to scale your company. And now Shaitan comes and tries to whisper some bad stuff to you and tells you, we're gonna do something. It's not haram. We're just gonna start doing some shady stuff. We're gonna start cheating a little bit. We're gonna start deceiving our clients. Sometimes we're gonna start, you know, we don't care that much. We have enough clients. We're gonna find other people. And this is where you reach your highest point. And then from there you start going down. So the minute you have those thoughts, just understand if you follow them, you'll never ever go higher. Make more. You may have bigger numbers, but you're wiping out all the baraka from your business and you will never ever, ever taste real success. So make sure even when you're making money, even when everything is working well, go back to your first principles. As a Muslim, you want to care for other people. You want to have a great behavior in everything you do, even in your business. So now Alhamdulillah, you're a good Muslim. You're following Islamic principles. You're not doing haram stuff in your business. You also want to surround yourself with people who do the same thing, who are Muslims and run their businesses. So you want to join the halal network. It's completely free. School Com Islam. Join us and enjoy the journey. The link is in the description and now you know which halam business practices to avoid.
