How To Become a Strong Muslim Man In 2025 (feat. Sheikh Oduro)

A multi-speaker discussion focused on work ethic, influencer marketing, entrepreneurship, and personal development within a Muslim community context. Speakers emphasize consistent effort, sacrifice, motivation, and practical steps (daily hours, two-month consistency) to see progress, and point listeners to online resources and a gym in Dallas.

Willing to learn and put the work in. And that's what I love about it. As long as you're willing to put the work in. I'm not talking about between Maghab and Isha. I'm talking about Lord to Isha. Right. You're willing to sit in. Let's go.
You know what's a great example of influence marketing?
Influencer marketing. See me in a moment because he's about to drop that bar. You got it?
Mustafa has the gym. Mustafa has the gym. This is a product or a service. And one of the most common ways of marketing that nowadays is leveraging social media.
Even though don't even explain it that way. Look, Sheikh, you came to the gym today. You live in Dallas. If people live in Dallas and they're Muslim and they want a Muslim friendly gym, where are they gonna go? See, you didn't do anything. You just came here. They trust you. They trust your judgment. So I came here. Even me. I did it subconsciously. You said, should we go to this room or that one? I said, what's the marketing worse?
Watch something.
That's the new way people market and buy. By the way, it's like me for example. If you see a random. Let's say you're craving pizza, right? You see two pizza shops, one you're just craving. It just says Domino's. One of them signature. The right one is better. That one I trust. I go, yeah, which one are you gonna go?
Yeah, the one you trust.
Why? Even though Domino's is big and huge. Yeah, because I trust it. That's influencer marketing. That's people who have influence, they are trusted. They direct the attention they have to a product and somebody buzz or whatever. And that's what companies are after nowadays. Nobody.
Right? Right, Right. Yeah.
Right?
Yeah.
But now attention is shifting. Yeah. And that's what we do.
Okay, so. So where would they go? Like where would this person go? If they're interested in what you just said, where would they go?
The website, imac.com.
Stay slow, man. You speak French.
I'm gas out. I'm gas out. Just if they know Abu, like I watch my channel, Lou, just write it down. They watch my channel, they learn more if they like it, but they can learn it for free.
But they don't have to know anything.
How to use a laptop.
How to use a laptop and Internet. That's it.
And send emails and. And not be a lazy guy.
Okay, but explain that work ethic. Like what. What is a typical day for someone that is starting January 1st to like August 1st, they can do what time first?
Wanna start November 20th?
Yeah. And how many days, how many hours a day would they have to put in?
On average, four hours.
Four hours a day.
It's not four hours of just sitting down, it's four hours of actual work. So you block out time. You don't use your phone, you don't use anything else, but just sitting down and actually working. And whenever you get distracted, let's say you had a timer. If you get distracted, you put the timer and you don't leave until the timer was to the four hours at work. Does that make sense? Yeah.
Yeah, exactly.
There's four hours of actual work and then I say two months of consistency. You can start seeing results. You're not going to become rich or whatever, but you see progress.
That's a formula for anything. Yeah, formula for anything. You'll learn 80%, 90% of what you need to know about gym. If you spent two months, four hours, and you learn about four hours a.
Day, you can almost become a people.
You go learn a language if you focus for four hours.
The only difference I saw, because we had over a thousand students go through the program, the main thing we saw, we tried. Our goal is that the guys that join are the most successful. We tried everything. Better training, more trainers, better, like better everything.
You try you as a company.
The one thing we still had the most impact wasn't like better videos or better training materials or better tutorials. It was better motivation from the people who joined. That's the thing that has the testimony. No, no, not testimonials. The guy who joins, willingness to work, the. The reason why they're gonna put in this work. That was the biggest impact. If somebody, we ask questions before people join, they have to apply, get reviewed, and then I gotta get accepted. The, the main thing we see is the motivation to make it work. And the. What are they willing to sacrifice and put in in order to make it work? That's the thing that has the highest impact on the success. Can you believe it? Okay. Not like I can give you. I'd rather give you a bad training to a very motivated person. They have more chance of success than somebody with an amazing training who's lazy or has no purpose. Crazy.
So, okay, the lyrics. Okay, so you mentioned. But what was the pain that they had? I'm gonna combine this question, is the pain. Okay, what was the pain? Number one. And I'm almost sure these brothers are assuming. And you can educate me and educate everybody here. Is it the average guy that Joins or the majority of them, are they single young people? Are they guys that are married, haven't had a career before, and this is totally new for them.
Yeah. Let me tell you the te and everything about them. Age, country, they're from background, jobs, anything over tens of thousands of people. The one key difference is not the age. Same thing. It related like even we had single guys, married guys, guys who kids, guy with our kids, guy with. Who already have money, guy who didn't have money. The main thing that's different is what they're willing to sacrifice in order to make it work. Because you said failing. Failing doesn't exist. It's attempts of learning.
Right.
And if you attempt enough, you're going to be successful. That's the key thing, is that they have a lot of. They have a reason why they want to make it work. So they'll try and they keep trying until it ends up working out, and we just make that path easier.
They have a reason.
They have a reason. Most like even we saw this because we end up hiring the most successful students when we graduate them to. We, like hire them to become new trainers for the new students. We saw that. And they have to be the elite students in order to qualify to be a coach. We saw that all the elite coaches have going from 22 to like, Ahmad is like 32.
Dylan is like 35, 40.
So, like, here is why. Amar, for example, he has kids and he wants to get in a better country for them.
Pain.
Exactly. The we have another guy, he's in uni. He doesn't like what he's doing, and he wants to give his family a better life.
Right.
And it's hard. He's not going to be like, yeah, I'm going to give up. Like, am I going to give up on my kids?
My kids?
Of course not. And then he keeps pushing. That's the only thing we saw that impact.
Success. Y' all heard it, man. It's the pain. It's the pain. What's the pain that y' all have that can translate into progress? Learn, learn, learn. He's willing to teach you from the ground up. That's the whole point. And usually, you know, you say, I'm not married yet. When I want to get married, I'll do it. My advice to you, look, as even, you know, they say, but the Walid, the wali of the girl that you're planning to meet, he wants to know your past as well. It's about track record. What have you done to prove that you're able to provide in the future. What have you done even with your worship as a person in the community? Have you put work in? Imagine if you said yeah, I joined this thing called I am a accelerator about two years ago. I didn't know anything about it, but now I'm still working and I'm earning $20,000 a month, et cetera. You didn't know anything about it, but now you're earning this much. That shows that you put work in and, and you got uncomfortable and you failed and you kept moving. I drive my kid to Tajhid, right? You know his verse, his. What he was supposed to review was three verses, you know, it was ten times. Read and reverse ten times. After that you're going to recite it five times, close it, recite it five times, move to the next verse, recite it ten times and then recite it five times. And then the two verses, read them ten times and then recite it five times. By the time we got to Taqi school, yes, he was late, but it was seamless repetition. He didn't want to do it. But now he knows As a 13 year old I can get to where I want to get as long as I put the reps in. As long as I put the reps. He said the one that is an expert in reciting the Quran there with the noble angel scribes. And then he said, He said the one that recites the Quran and it is difficult upon him and, and he stutters. He stutters. He gets a tap tap. He receives two award to show when you put the work in even though it's uncomfortable. You know, there was one adult I knew, he used to sit with the young kids after ASR recited Quran. People used to look at him. But he recited better than majority of the brothers, right? So put that work in. Feel uncomfortable. You're going to get to a point. I like how it's hard forever. In the beginning it's going to be hard, but you put the rest in. It's not hard anymore. So it's only hard for a limited time, right? So don't let that hold you back.
Believe it. I can share this about this as well. Share something about this because I was.
One thing to add here before you go, what I remind myself when it comes to this is there was a time and I see with my children there was a time I didn't know how to walk.
You know how to walk?
I didn't know how to walk. I didn't know how to walk. Yeah, but that's it's second nature now. Yeah. Actually, if I did. If I woke up and I couldn't walk, I'm gonna be like, you know, there's something extremely wrong. But that was the hardest thing for the first two years of my life.
Yep.
I couldn't even imagine I could do that.
Yeah.
Subhanallah. So just by doing something consistently and failing often that we keep saying another one, things become natural, another one.
Because they can relate more. Maybe when you were five or six years old, you learned math or you learned how to write proper English for you was so hard at the time. You're like, wait, how can I do. How can I multiply these two numbers? It's so hard, Mom. How do you do it? It looks so hard at the time now. It's so easy. That's the exact same way everybody feels when they go to entrepreneurship. I felt that way the same way when I started. I was like, no way. Make money, have a business. That's impossible. I would see maybe in 10 years from now, and then just go through it. You suffer a little bit, then it's much easier. And now if tomorrow. But the thing is, we know different. Like, five years ago, I had no idea how to run a business. Completely no idea. No what? Zero. Literally no idea whatsoever.
What was the drive that made you want to start a business now?
For me, Hijra.
Hijra.
But related to what?
My family.
You have kids.
Boom. He's like, common sense.
That's what I'm saying is the biggest thing. Even here in the US People come from South America, Right. And they would do any job, whatever, to become successful and they climb the ladder.
That's a big reminder.
But why is it? It's because they have the family back home. They got to figure it out. Have you ever seen a Latino guy turn down a job, say, it's too hard, I'm going to give up. Have you. Find me one Latino guy that went back. Find me one guy that said, n. I give up. It's not for me. It's too hard for me now. I'm fine. You see?
Even more important, entitled Muslims.
This is crazy. This is going to be crazy. 50 Cent. There's a guy named 50 Cent, right, people? There's a guy named 50 Cent. Don't look him up. But he had a real good interview. He had a real good interview, man. He said, man, he said, like, people when they work, he said, where I grew up, people worked and things were hard and they suffered. They just suffered while they were working. It wasn't like they just don't do. So he said, now I see people that they get up and they say, no, I don't want to do this, I don't. He said, man, where do they do that? I don't know where people do that. Like you keep, even though you're suffering, you go through like you're talking about people, they're thinking about their people. Back my parents, they came from Ghana, right? My father started a restaurant. It was tough, it was difficult, but it's like I'm thinking about my mother and stuff back home. So yeah, I'm suffering, I'm depressed. I'm still going to go to work. I'm not just going to take off. Who is now my father in law in broken, busted and disgusted Arabic. And he, you know, you know, you learn language and they're like, He was looking at me like that. And then my mom's like, I'm not going to marry this girl, man. Yeah, so no, it's just definitely, definitely a test, man. But again, you young guys out there that want to make use of your time, you want to get involved, you want to help people, help yourself. This is a huge opportunity.
If you're serious, if you're serious, don't, don't waste your time because you'll make anything work.
If you're not serious again, where do they go?
There's the. This I think. Where should they go? What would you send someone? I'll send them to the website. Let's go to YouTube. Yeah, go to YouTube. Abu space. L a h y a abu.
Like abu l a h Y A. We're actually live on that channel right now too, right?
Yep.
Yeah.
So check us out cuz I'm about to close out. Anyone have any questions or any comments, anything? Shout out to Mustafa, man. I don't know if he wants to be on camera or not.
Shout out the gym. Yeah. If anybody wants to work in Dallas. What's the name? Hadid. Like, like metal.
Yeah, right over here real quick, huh?
Oh yeah, yeah. By the way, for the chat, for my chart, it's a bit. The ch is a bit. Don't worry, we order, Give us like what, two hours. The stream is going to be quality. It's already good. Don't start complaining but it's going to be even better. Inshah. Yeah, just come, come and see us. Oh, to this guy. So to this guy, what was your job before?
Typical CrossFit gym.
What was your job before?
Machine operation.
Machine operation. Did you have any ideas of online or Making money.
I didn't even use a laptop barely before I started.
How many sales pictures people do you manage now?
Over 30, maybe 40. It's very simple actually. It's very simple. This is actually a blueprint for whatever it is you're trying to do.
Right.
The first thing is you need to here. The first thing that you need to do is just research. So do. It's going to be a day, two days worth of research where you just look up, follow, watch as many videos and content. You need to put some information in.
Your head right here.
Okay? You don't know anything right now you want to put some information in your head. Inshallah. After you do that, you go learn a bunch of information, then you find other people that are doing the same thing. This happens naturally because you go to a gym, right? With closing, it's online. So just join online communities and show up and see what people are doing and then you just look what the steps that they have to take. So you have to learn the basics of an actual sales call, which is just discovery, understanding what somebody wants, the why, right. And then it's right, you take that information, you dedicate the next three months to it, inshallah. And then from there you actually ask. You have to put yourself out there. So you go ask for roles, you go apply to roles, and you do it consistently every day for a month. And I guarantee you, you'll be the one teaching this next. Inshaallah.
That's it.
So to simplify it, consume information, find communities where other people are doing the same thing, learn the basics and practice it and then go apply and ask for roles.
That's it.
Someone's asking, he's gonna drop some gems. But I guarantee you the blueprint that I just laid out is the exact same way you. There's. There's hundreds of years of information at your fingertips online for free right now. We're streaming you information right now. So like focus and consume. Don't watch something and then scroll your phone and answer a text. No, focus and consume it. Then you test it out and you're going to figure out what works and what doesn't. And then after that you either document it or you show others. And that's literally the cycle of learning information.
What do you think? What do you say? How do you. Where do you get your knowledge from? That's the question. It's from Hussain. I watch. I start from what's free. I find stuff on YouTube, I watch videos on social media, on Google. I just learn about it the more interesting it becomes. The more I want to do it, the more I go towards paying to learn about it faster because I got limited time. Does that make sense? The most J live stream out there. Full Joan. Joan live stream. Come on, bro. If somebody doesn't know what Johan means, then I'm sorry for you, bro. You're missing out.
Shout out.
Shout out. Oh.
I think it's a squat. Is it? Last one.
Y Last set.
Best set. Last set, Best set. Let's set to the side. Another question, bro. What type of business is worth putting in my time to learn about? Because first of all, I bless you for putting questions. Come on. That everyone else. I send my guy for you, but more for him. What type of business is worth putting my time into to learn about? Because I feel like some of these is the last one. So let me actually give them the sauce they're expecting for. Let me tell you this. Based on who you are and based on your personality, there'll be different things that will be a fit for you. There's not one thing that will work for everyone. Otherwise everybody on planet Earth would have the same job, but they don't. Everybody has something different because you have a different personality. You might know somebody that's angry. You might know somebody that's super communicating him angry. They have two different personalities, so they behave differently and it's normal. It's like, how can you expect two different people to have the same job or the same business? They don't say, hey, ask me 25 questions about my personality and my work ethic and how I am, and I'll answer them so they can tell me which personality trait I have and what's my personality type. And then what business model or what business would you recommend based on that? Does that make sense? I'm saying this because Alhamdulillah, we have over 60 employees and we see very different traits when we hire them. If I hire a sales guy, for example, I'm gonna look for somebody that's very driven, hungry, numbers driven and works insane amount of hours, right? That's not a fit for everybody. If I'm looking for somebody that's going to create content like Shemso, I want somebody that's patient, creative, that can handle pressure, and that's also very passionate, right? Two very different personalities. If I want to hire somebody for tech or to build systems in my company, whatever it may be, I'm going to look for somebody that's analytical. They don't really need to speak with people face to face. They can just. If somebody's more business driven, right? Somebody just wants to do their own thing. They're an entrepreneur, they want to have their own business, whatever it may be. They then they go and they look into starting an actual business. And that's the small portion of people where a business like ecommerce or business like an agency, whatever, that's what would matter. This is why they can be a good sales guy or a good creative guy, or a good tech guy, right? And you can make a lot of money with all of them.
