What Jannah ACTUALLY Looks Like (You’ll Be Amazed!)

Eyoub and a scholar describe Jannah through hadith: pearls the size of 60-mile mansions, self-cooking birds, endless gold structures. A sinner freed from Hellfire asks Allah for blessings and receives a realm the size of the world times ten. Seeing Allah's face surpasses all of Jannah.
Chapters
A mansion made out of one pearl. It's 60 miles into the sky. You see this bird flying, you think, I'd like to eat this bird. The bird comes, cooks itself. You eat it, you enjoy it, you praise Allah, you put the bones back, becomes a bird again, flies away. You will have mansions made out of pure gold, pure silver. That's yours. It's yours. Allah will say, ask more. The people will ask whatever they desire Allah will give it to them until you can't imagine what to ask for. Allah will say, should I give you something better than all of this? What is it? And that sight of seeing Allah will be better than Jannah and everything it contains.
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu. Welcome to a new episode. I'm super, super excited for this episode. It's an amazing one. We're speaking about the best place on earth. We all want to go there. Jannat al-Firdaus, paradise. Whether you're Muslim or you're not Muslim, everybody wants to make it to Jannah. Sheikh, talk to us about Jannah. Hype us up.
Allahu Akbar. This is the conclusion to this series. And may Allah make it that you all benefited from it and that you're going to continue to share and rewatch these to get that motivation that in this blessed month of Ramadan we had to to keep it for the rest of the year. Jannah is the goal. Jannah is the destination. Jannah is the place that everybody was meant to be. And that's where we have to strive and struggle to be. When we talk about Jannah, I want to begin with the least of Jannah. Because in Dunya, we talk about trying to make money, trying to have houses, trying to have buildings, trying to have empires, trying to have wealth, trying to have— but do you know the least of Jannah what it is? The least, the bottom. I'm not even talking about Jannah al-Firdaws, I'm not talking about Jannah al-Azhn, I'm not talking about the middle of the Jannah, I'm not talking about any— the na'im in Jannah. I'm talking about the minimum is a person who's a person of tawhid, he's Muslim, always protect your Islam, but he's sinful, he's somebody who fell into the traps And he ended up having to spend some time in the Ghar. And he is the last person to be taken out of the Hellfire. Now what a serious day. Imagine those people that get left behind in there knowing that nobody's ever going to come out after that. Oof. But this person, he's the last person. He's burned. He's gone through that punishment, right? And he goes out just barely out of the Ghar. These hadith are in Bukhari and Muslim. I'm going to summarize based on many authentic, but they're all sahih hadith. So he comes out, but he's still facing the Ghar. So he still feels the smoke, he still feels that heat, he still feels that he's out, but he's still facing it. He says, Ya Allah, turn my face away from it. Just, I don't want this smoke, I don't want this, the heat coming, just get me so I'm comfortable and that's all I'm going to ask. I'll never ask you for anything else. And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says, are you sure? He says yes. He says, okay, I'll grant it to you. Look how merciful Allah is. This person sinned, he did all, but Allah is so merciful, grants it. So he turns the person away from the Ghar and now he sees a beautiful tree. And forever long, I mean again, this is the Hereafter, it's never ending, so it could be hundreds of years, a thousand, however long, He's just there. And then he says, 'Ya Allah, just get me to this tree.' You remember how he said he's not going to ask for anything else, but this is humans, you know. He says, 'Allah, just,' you know, many times in our life this happens. You say, 'Allah, if I just get this, that's all I want.' And then Allah gives it to you, then you're like, 'I want more.' So this person, he says, 'Allah, just get me to this tree so I can be in the shade, I can drink of the water that's underneath it, so I can be a little more relaxed.' And then that's— I'm never going to ask for anything else. Allah says, are you sure? He says, I swear by you, Allah, by your honor, that just get me to this tree. And Allah gives it to him, and he gets to this tree, and he's enjoying, but then he sees another tree. And that tree is at the gate or the entrance of Jannah. He says, oh Allah, get me to this next tree. And Allah (swt) reminds— and Allah loves the human, like, you know, he has this mercy that he He has this compassion, so he tells the person, didn't you swear by me that you wouldn't ask for anything else? But Allah realizes that it's something so beautiful, he can't control himself. Allah forgives him. He sees ma'dur, he has udar, you know, he can't stop himself. Allah is so loving, he's merciful, he tells him, you said this, but it's okay, I'll give it to you again. He says, oh Allah, if you can just get me to that tree by Jannah, I won't ask you for anything else. And Allah gives it to him and he gets to this tree by Jannah. And when he gets there, he's enjoying it. It's better than the other trees, away from the Hellfire. He doesn't feel that smoke anymore. He's not being punished. But now he can hear the people of Jannah. He can see that there's beautiful things in Jannah. He's at that gate. He's like, 'Oh Allah, just get me into Jannah. I just want to put my foot in. I just want to get just If you barely get me in, I won't ask you for anything else. Then Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala tells him, didn't you swear repeatedly you wouldn't ask for it? Allah says, give it to him. Allah blesses him. He enters Jannah. Then Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, when he enters— now again, this is the last person to enter Jannah, the final, that's it. So when he enters Jannah, he sees everybody has their beautiful paradises and people have their mansions. Their Jannatan and their river. Everybody has all this. He thinks, 'Oh Allah, there's no place for me. Like, yes, I got in, but where's my place?' Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala tells this person that, 'Would you be satisfied? Would you be happy if I gave you a Jannah the size of the world?' The whole world and 10 times that. Of course it would be. Imagine, you know, in this dunya, you could never have that. Nobody rules the entire world. Like, you may rule a kingdom and somebody else may rule a country. You may be a prime minister and you may be a billionaire, but you have your own little thing, you know. Like, Trump may have his own little Tower or whatever, but he goes to Russia, that's somebody else's. Putin may have Russia, but he goes to China, that's somebody else's, you know. And even if you had the whole world, which nobody has, 10 times that, and that's the minimum. Imagine the higher levels of Jannah. Imagine the middle, you know, the shuhada, the martyrs have 100 levels in Jannah just for shuhada. 100 levels. Imagine people higher. This is the world that we need to work in to get there. We can't be relaxing, we can't be chilling, we can't be demotivated, we can't be wasting time, we can't just be passing time. This is the time that we have to earn that Jannah. This person enters Jannah, he's— Allah tells him, I'll give you 10 times the world. He's like looking around, he's like, Everything is full. He's like, 'My Rabb, You are my Lord, are You mocking me? Are You joking with me?' Allah tells him, 'You have the whole world and 10 times that and more than that.' This is— you know, the people of Jannah, they will have things that we cannot imagine, things that nobody has heard, nobody has heard Nobody has seen, nobody can contemplate, nobody can even the sabr, like imagine it. But Allah made that for us, and that's what He wants us to be. That's why the Quran, Allah (SWT) invites us to Darussalam, the place of peace, Jannah. He's inviting you. Look, you know what you need to do. Don't do shirk, don't do kufr, don't do bid'ah, Don't hurt people, don't lie, don't cheat, don't kill, don't violate people's rights, pray your prayers, fast your Ramadan, wear your hijab, obey your husband, be kind to your wife. You know what you're supposed to do. That's it. And just do your best. Allah doesn't even ask you to be perfect. And what will Allah give you? Everlasting life. No suffering, no disease, no separation. Maybe you love somebody and they passed away and it's difficult being away from them, but in Jannah that will never happen. Your father, your mother, your brother, your sister, your wife, your husband, your children, always with you. Even if you're a billion-year, quadrillion-year, gazillion-year— I don't even know what those numbers are in this dunya. You still get sick? In Jannah you never get sick. You still die? All that money gets left behind? In Jannah you never die. You never lose. You're never jealous. You're never hurt. There's no pain. There's no suffering. Just enjoyment, bliss. For this short time of this life that you were patient, Allah gives you all that. Ibn al-Qayyim, the great scholar of Islam, he wrote a poem which he based off authentic ahadith. And I'm going to summarize from it. And he talks about those that will be on the Day of Judgement on pillars and seats of pearls and light and manabir, on podiums enjoying thrones. And he talks about them entering Jannah. When they enter Jannah, Allah (SWT) will gather the people of Jannah and speak to each one individually. Imagine Allah (SWT) speaks to you, addresses you. Eyoub (Abu Lahya), remember this day you sinned. 'Remember this day you did this sin. Remember this day you did this sin.' And you will say, 'Ya Allah, I'm destroyed. Like, it's over. It's over. Yes, I did this. Yes, I did this. Yes, I did this. Yes, I did this. Oh Allah, forgive me.' Allah will say, 'I've already forgiven you. That's why you're here. I've forgiven you those days.' Don't worry about it. I am pleased with you and I will never be displeased with you. Just that by itself, knowing that Allah will never be displeased with you, that you've earned the pleasure of Allah with the mercy of Allah, then Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will call them together. And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala When He blesses you in Jannah, that blessing resonates. Meaning when you go to these marketplaces of Jannah, you come back home, you're more handsome to your wife. When you left and you came back, your wife is more beautiful than she was before. You know, in Jannah there are hoor al-'ayn, there are the women of Jannah, the beautiful women of Jannah, but did you know that women of dunya, of this world, who are righteous, that will be your wives in Jannah, will be more beautiful than the hurulayn? They will be at a higher status. The hadith that the women of dunya and the women of Jannah, they get into a disagreement. You know, one says, look, the women of Jannah will say to the women of dunya, 'You guys were giving husbands hard times, you were doing this and that, we were there pure just waiting to please them.' The women of dunya will respond back, he said, 'We went through hardships, we went through prayers and fasting and temptations and this and the test, you guys were just chilling in Jannah.' Both back and forth. In the end, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will elevate the rank of the women of dunya, the pious women of this dunya that enter Jannah, to be higher in rank. To be more beautiful. In dunya, no matter what, pet peeves will piss you off. Even if you really love somebody, something they do, morning breaths, you know, some habits, snoring, whatever, you may put up with it, but not in Jannah. Pure happiness. In dunya, feelings fade. Even if there's some very beautiful woman and a very handsome man and they're just madly in love, but someday they're like, 'Ah, you know, you kind of got old.' Start sagging, you know, bodies change, attitudes change, people start forgetting, you know, that spark is gone. But in Jannah, it will only get better. Every time the husband and wife meet, they only increase in their love. No hasad, no jealousy. The people of Jannah, they will have fruits that you cannot imagine. Every time you taste it, it tastes better. Every time you taste water, it's sweeter. Every time you enjoy something, it only gets better. How in Jahannam it only gets worse, in Jannah You'll never get bored. In dunya, if you really love something, like you have your favorite ice cream or your favorite food or your comfort food or cake or whatever, you know, if I locked you in a room with nothing but that and made you eat only that for a month straight, you would get sick of it. You would throw up at the sight of it, you know. But not in Jannah. You never get overfilled, you never get bloated, you never have to go to the bathroom. You enjoy it, and then you enjoy it more. Beautiful hadith, you'll see a bird flying in Jannah.
That's the one I was going to ask you to speak about. Please go ahead.
You see a bird flying in Jannah. You think, you know what, you're not hungry, like you don't need it, but you enjoy it. It's not out of need, because this is the place Allah rewards you.
It feels, somehow feels wrong just hearing that, because we're so used to it being wrong. Yeah, subhanAllah.
Because in dunya you controlled yourself, right? Now, just leave it off.
Just the fact that you're mentioning you eating it, not out of need, but out of just desire.
And fulfill those desires. That's the place. In dunya you controlled it, in akhira you live it up.
It makes it easier.
In dunya you lived it up, didn't care about halal, haram, you destroyed it in the akhira. You went to zina in dunya, you won't get the women of Jannah. You drank alcohol in dunya? You won't get the pure, non-toxic, non-intoxicating drinks of Jannah. You dealt with riba to buy houses in dunya? You destroyed your palaces in Jannah. This is why we have to control our nafs, control our desires, stay with the Quran, stay with the Sunnah. The way of al-Mustafa alayhi salatu wa salam. Be firm on the sharia, never sell out, never compromise, never be scared, never be broken from this worldly pressures of being called names. Never. We stay firm because then when you do that in dunya, Allah is raising your ranks in the Jannah. You see this bird flying, you think, I'd like to eat this bird. The bird itself comes, you don't have to hunt it, you don't have to kill it, there's no suffering, there's no pain. The bird comes, cooks itself. You don't have to go get a chef or anything. You eat it, you enjoy it, you praise Allah, you put the bones back, becomes a bird again, flies away. Imagine! The people of Jannah will never be lonely. Nobody's single in Jannah. All of you single brothers and sisters, don't worry. Nobody is single in Jannah. Even if somebody died and they've never been married, Allah will get them married to a woman of this dunya, a pious woman. If a sister died in this world, never got married, Allah will get her married to a pious man of this dunya. That's in Jannah. People will have that company of a spouse, but without the fights, without the arguments, without the jealousy, without, 'Did you look at her? Did you do this? Did you say? What are you doing? Why'd you wear this?' No, none of that. It's enjoyment. Sahih hadith: in Jannah you will have a mansion made out of one pearl. You know, a pearl this big. But this pearl is so huge, it's 60 miles into the sky. MashaAllah. Your mansion will be made from one pearl 60 miles into the sky. You can't get that in dunya. You will have mansions made out of pure gold, pure silver, or gold and silver. A brick of gold, brick of silver, brick of gold, brick of silver. That's yours. It's yours forever. You'll never lose it. It will never degrade. It'll never be condemned because you didn't upkeep it. You don't have to pay taxes on it. It's yours. Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Giving, gives it to you.
Is there anything you can't get in Jannah?
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will gather the people of Jannah and he will tell them, ask whatever you want. Whatever you want. Now, the people of Jannah are purified, they're cleansed. It's a place for the mutatahirin, the pure. So they're not going to ask for things that are filthy. Nobody's going to be like, I want to be LGBT in Jannah. Nobody's going to say, I want to, you know, go get married to a dog in Jannah. Like, you won't have that. But they will ask. So Allah will tell them, ask. Ibn al-Qayyim writes about Yawm al-Masid from mutawatir hadith he collected, you know, beautiful. Look it up. He will say, ask. They'll say, 'Ya Allah, you saved us from the Hellfire, you saved us from all the punishment, you entered us into Jannah, you gave us everlasting life, you took away sins, you took away pain, you took away suffering, you took away death, disease.' Now all that was taken away, what more can we ask for? We're with our families, we're enjoying, you gave us houses, palaces. What more can we ask? Allah will say, ask more. Ask more. The people will ask whatever they desire. Allah will give it to them. Desire, give it to him. This, give it to him. Give it to him. Give it to him until you can't imagine what to ask for. Then Allah will tell you, ask more. They'll say, Allah, what more can we ask for? We've asked for everything we can possibly desire. What more? Allah will say, no, ask for more. Then they will say, Allah, we don't know what to ask for. Allah will say, I'll tell you what to ask for. And Allah will tell them what they didn't even realize that they would want. And Allah will grant it and grant it and grant it. Then Allah will say, ask for more. They say, ya Allah, we don't know what else to ask for. Allah will say, should I give you something better than all of this?
What is it?
Better than anything you can imagine, anything that you desired, anything that you could have got, better than what even Allah told you what to ask for. Do you want something better than that? They said, Ya Allah, show us your wajh, show us your face. And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will drop the veil of light, the covering between him and his creation, and you will see Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala with your own eyes. As it befits the honor and majesty of Allah. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم), he told the Sahaba, do you have any difficulty seeing full moon on a clear night? They said, oh no, Messenger of Allah. Another revaya, a sun on a clear hot day, no clouds? They said, no. He said, then you will have no issue, you will have no difficulty seeing Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) on the Day of Judgment As you have no difficulty seeing the full moon on a clear night. Eyoub, imagine that ni'mah. Your whole life you worshipped Allah, you didn't see Allah. You know, these atheists and they're like, oh, have you seen God? No, but I believe in Allah. I worship Allah. I pray to Allah. I make dua to Allah. Your whole life you went through praying to Allah, but you never saw Allah. Now you get that reward. You will see your Rabb with your own eyes. You will see Allah, and Allah will speak to you. And that sight of seeing Allah, that moment of seeing Allah, that moment of gazing upon your Rabb, subhanahu wa ta'ala, will be better than Jannah and everything it contains. It will be better than everlasting life. It will be better than any enjoyment. It will be better than being with your family. It will be better than those mansions. Is seeing your Allah— the pleasure there is greater than everything else in Jannah. I want to ask you a question, and I want to ask you a question. What sin What desire, what lust, what temptation is worth risking losing that?
Nothing.
Next time you're tempted, next time shaytan is waswasa, next time a desire wants to take you to haram, Next time your decision start to move towards the wrong, just think, 'What if I never get to see Allah because of this?' Allahumma razaqna al-jannah.
Ameen.
Umm al-Qarab ilayha min qawlin aw amalin.
Ameen.
اللهم رزقنا الجنة وتلوعلديين لمن لَهو حقنا عَلَيْنَا. اللهم رزقنا الجنة تalfirdawsil 'ala. May Allah (SWT) grant us Jannah. May Allah give us the ability to act upon every action and every statement that gets us to Jannah. May Allah (SWT) grant us and our parents and our teachers and our shiukh and everybody who has a right upon us Jannah. And not just any Jannah, may Allah (SWT) give us the highest levels in Jannah. Jannatul Firdaus, the Jannah that is the highest peak of Jannah where the Arsh of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is above it. The throne of Allah is the roof for the people of Jannah, where you will see Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala the most. May Allah grant us the sight of our Rabb subhanahu wa ta'ala. May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala enter us all into the highest places of Jannah without hisab, without even reckoning from the mercy of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. Ameen.
