Ming argues autism works like a different operating system: autistic people perceive and sense the world differently, creating barriers with neurotypical people. Many can't translate their sensory experience into words and just need the overwhelming sensation to stop.

Autism is kind of like a different operating system. Their brains are wired kind of differently. How they see the world and sense the world is very different from us. Something that we might feel like, it's no biggie. They will feel like. It's very annoying. Each individual on the spectrum is very different. All of them have a different operating system than us. Most probably they think differently, they feel differently, they sense differently. And it just creates a whole communication barrier. So therefore, that's why a lot of ASD people, they get very mad because. Because how they hear something or how they sense something is so different from us, they cannot tell us with language because no neurotypical person has ever described it in words. For them, they can't put it in words. They just tell you that they want it to stop. So that's what I think autism is. Obviously, there are loads of people who would disagree with me or whatever, but this is what I hear from my autistic students and from working with them over the past seven years. All right?
