A short YouTube monologue by Ming (Agents of Speech) advising parents on boundaries and discipline. Ming argues many parents treat children like pets by over-accommodating, outlines different "types of love" (tough, pampering, suffocating), and emphasizes setting clear rules, limits on giving, and applying strictness when teaching children at home.

So a lot of times, parents actually treat their children more like pets more than a legit human being. And why I'm saying this is because they don't respect the kid enough for them as a person, and they want to give as much as possible to make them happy. Like, if it were my own child, I would probably have this dilemma too. I want to provide for my kids so that they don't feel like they're not supported in this world. But at the same time, there's types of love, right? There's tough love, there's pampering love, there's suffocating love, and there's loads of different kinds of love. The most important thing is that you set your rules and when you're able to give and when you cannot. Parents wear a lot of hats. Sometimes you're the chef, sometimes the teacher, sometimes you're the police. When you're teaching children at home, push yourself to be strict with your kid.
