Most of the knowledge base is written in English if you search online. That's why English has become such an important part of our lives, right? Because our textbooks are in English. That's why when you speak in your mother tongue, you should not accept your child replying to you in English. Children will prefer English for loads of reasons. Part of it is because education, things that are written, things that are about child development are all written in English. All the great teachers, all the good stuff are from the western world. So when a teacher was super nice to me, I would prefer talking to an English speaking person than to a Chinese teacher because a Chinese teacher is always strict and not nice to me and have very high standards. But the white person, because of their culture and stuff. And I'm saying this not to be racist, man, I'm trying to be as candid as possible. I preferred more that kind of teacher more than the Asian one. Therefore your child would as well. That's just a cultural thing.
