Short persuasive video by Alan Solarsh arguing that specific everyday phrases perpetuate a ‘broke’ mindset. He lists three phrases to avoid — “I just need more time,” “That’s too expensive,” and “I can’t afford that” — and reframes each to encourage urgency, possibility, and building/automation rather than limitation. The piece ties language to action: change your words to change outcomes.

Three ridiculous things I'd never say if I actually wanted financial freedom, because these phrases silently keep you broke. I'm Alan Solars. I built my freedom with systems not struggle. And I had to rewire my language first. Why? Because words don't just reflect your mindset, they lock it. Number three, I'd never say, I just need more time. That phrase is a lie. Time isn't your enemy. Your priorities are. If you have time for TikTok and Netflix, but none for wealth, you're not short on hours, you're short on urgency. Every time you say that, you're telling your future, hold off. I'm not ready to win. Number two, I'd never say, that's too expensive. That's how broke people protect their comfort zone. Rich thinkers ask, how do I afford this without trading time? Saying something's too expensive shuts down your brain. Asking, how can I afford it? Opens possibilities. One keeps you safe, the other makes you dangerous. Number one, I'd never say I can't afford that. Why? Because it kills opportunity on site. It's the language of limitation, not leadership. The rich don't use that phrase. They ask, what must I build, create or automate so I can afford this and never depend on anyone again? Big difference. Your words are your thermostat. Speak broke, stay broke. Speak possibility, and watch the room heat up.
