Alan Solarsh analyzes a spinning-top candle in a XAUUSD supply zone that briefly touched the 100-period moving average, where institutions take profits and retail traders place stops. He sees short-term bullish bias but warns the supply zone and institutional action make direction uncertain.

Hey everybody, something interesting has happened on the chart. There is a doji on the 4-hour chart. So let's go and look at the chart. Over here you can see that there is a clear spinning top doji within the supply zone. So there's definitely something happening in this area here. What's happening? We don't know. We'll only know when the institutions make their move. Either it's going to be up or it's going to be down. You can see here it's exactly what I said was going to happen, that we hit resistance at the 100 moving average. Now these moving averages that I use are moving averages that the institutions use for their take profits, and it's what retail traders use for their stop losses. So it's very interesting, they're very interesting lines to take note of. For support and resistance. You can see that the price actually just went above the— I'm going to shrink it a bit and take a new screenshot— that the price went just above the 100 moving average, but that was before the moving average moved down with the next candle. So if we actually eliminate— I'm going to change this to black to actually show you what I'm talking about. So if you eliminate this— oh goodness gracious me, let's do that again. So if you eliminate that over there, that blue, because let's say this candle hadn't opened yet, you can see there that the price actually just went through that moving average and then retraced back down into the supply zone, which is very interesting. So we just have to wait for the institutions now. And so now have to wait for the institutions to make their move, and we'll have to wait and see what the direction is. Currently, the second candle is above the 8 exponential moving average, so theoretically we are north, but we are in a supply zone, so we need to be careful and take care. So I'll see you on my next video. Cheers.
