Alan Solarsh shows how to set up push notifications from MetaTrader 4 to your phone. Copy your terminal ID from the desktop app, paste it into the mobile app's Chats & Messages settings, and test it. You'll get alerts even when MT4 is closed, though heavy trading can drain your battery.

Right? So the first thing that you need to do is you need to log into your vpn, so please pause the video go and log into your VPN. Now. Once done, you can come back to this video and resume the video, right? So you can click on the Ctrl O button on a Windows machine or the command O on a Mac machine to open the options. Or you can click on tools and then options and that window where you need to enter the information will render. So as you can see, we were on the email settings, so now you need to click on the notification settings. So please pause the video go and open that window. Now click on notifications. Once done, you can come back to this video and resume the video. Now, where it says enable push notifications, just enable that by putting a check mark in that little block. So please open up your phone now on MT4, once done, you can come back to this video and resume the video. Please click on the settings icon on an iPhone, not sure where it is on an Android, you need to find it so that you can get to the screen. So please pause the video go and find that screen. Now, once done, you can come back to this video and resume the video. Now, where it says chat and messages, you need to open that section. So please pause the video go and open that section. Now, once done, you can come back to this video and resume the video. Now at the bottom here you can see that is my notifications number. So you need to enter your notifications number.
Into this tab over here. So please copy that notification number and paste it into this field over here. And then you can click on test. So please pause the video go and do that step. Now, once done, you can come back to this video and resume the video, right? So as you can see, a notification was successfully queued. Look at the journal for more information. So just click on ok so it was sent. You can click on OK there. And then if you check in your phone, you'll see that a message has been sent to our phone. We can open up that message and you can see, see, I sent two messages and it says their test message and test message from from MT4 and it happens instantaneously, which is great, right? So I've closed MT4 completely off my phone. I'm going to send the test message. And as you can see, even with MT4 closed, the test message does arrive. The one disadvantage of having this is that every time a trade is executed within your MetaTrader 4, you will get that push notification to your phone, which may wear down your battery a little bit. So just so note that just having having your notifications, your push notification to your phone switched on, may start using your battery, especially during volatile times, because there'll be lots of trades being executed. But it's also nice to know when trades are being executed and you can see that trades are being executed. So you can Also log into MT4 and check your drawdown.
